Post No. 297 - Interesting - hopefully! - links

I'm going to begin this post by pointing out that some weeks ago, I received one of those idiotic fear-mongering emails about Muslims from someone I know (now in the category of ex-friend). This stupid email said "one million Muslims will tick 'Islam' in religion, so tick Christianity or the religion of your birth".

No, I won't!!!

For a starter, I have had NO problems with ANY Muslim I have personally known - and several have worked for me for a number of years (very well, too, as a matter of fact). On the other hand, I HAVE had problems with fundamentalist Christians.

I think there is no place for fear-mongering of this nature in a democracy - if anyone such as this Anglo-Saxon ex-friend did try to indulge in it, I would like to remind them that they are white, and therefore invaders of this land anyway!!

Now, my religion is NOT Christianity. I therefore have NO intention of ticking any of the sects of that religion: I will proudly declare my religion, which is pagan, in next week's census, and would expect others to proudly declare their religion of choice as well. (Oh yeah - choice ... people are ALLOWED to change their religion, and I know a couple of people who have chosen Islam, just as I also know someone who researched all the religions [including Paganism] and then chose Christianity.)

Oh, and by the way, according to the census, there are around 300,000 Muslims in Australia. The 1 million figure suggests some idiot has just lifted this from a US email.

My final point for such bigots is the following article:

Now, taking a deep breath and hoping off my soap box, normal service - or what passes for that :) - will now resume :)

I have posted some links which will hopefully be interesting after my signature block: enjoy :)

Love, light, hugs and blessings

Now, some time ago, the person I refer to as "AFL girl" apologised to football players - see http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/nudescandal-girl-apologises-to-st-kilda-players-20110321-1c2nj.html. Hmmm ... she WAS lying, and those who questioned her were right from the beginning - meaning I was wrong to be lenient in my assessment .. perhaps ...
