anyone distressed by anything in this post, or for any other reason considering
seeking support, resources are available in Australia here, here, and here. In other nations, you will have to do an Internet search using terms such as “mental health support - <your nation>” (which, for instance, may lead to this, this, and this, in the USA, or this, this, and this, in France [biased towards English-language - my apologies]), or perhaps try https://www.befrienders.org/.
The purposes of this post’s news section include:
(1) to provide information, including news, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide); and
(3) to help engage and frame my emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a good state to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial comments by me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

News:
On the existential climate crisis and nuclear threats this week:
a disturbing extension of a major fossil project - to the detriment of the world - by Australia; a call by a young activist from Tajikistan to include young people in addressing the climate crisis; a landslide in Switzerland which destroyed most of a town has focused attention on the loss of permafrost because of the climate crisis;
In the global war against f_sc_sm this week:
- ⇒ “People Who Escaped Authoritarian Governments Share How They Knew It Was Time To Go” https://www.comicsands.com/escape-authoritarian-government-reddit as an historian describes the current US regime’s “crackdown on dissent” and the “climate of fear and censorship” as “worse than McCarthyism”;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA include:
⇒ The re-emergence of “social Darwinism”, which I also wrote about recently
⇒ the estimated global impact of the US AID cuts can be tracked (live) here;
In a disturbing example of breaching journalistic integrity, ethics, and competence, a mainstream newspaper outlet has blatantly sanewashed an incoherent, offensive ramble (including talk of trophy wives) by the current US president - who, according to this opinion, lied about Project 2025 ... and lies are also being told about Medicaid (and investments from West Asia) ... but there is an opinion that “[the current US president]’s foreign policy is not so unusual for the US – he just drops the facade of moral leadership” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/26/trump-foreign-policy-moral-leadership “The US has zagged from isolation to imperialism, but [the current US president]
has ‘emptied the ethical and moral frame’ of diplomacy ... But
former government officials interviewed by the Guardian paint a more
nuanced picture, suggesting that [the current US president]’s
quid pro quo approach has more in common with his predecessors than it
first appears. Where he does differ, they argue, is in his shameless
abandonment of moral leadership and use of the US presidency for
personal gain.” However, the current US president has ADMITTED TO HELPING RUSSIA by “preventing unspecified "really bad things" from happening to the country” ... I’d say that would be somewhat unusual for the USA ... (and Russia has mocked the current US president “over his weakness towards Putin”)
An examination of the actions in the health field of the current US regime has led one YT creator to conclude “Republicans Want You to Die”, and a “health” report cites non-existent studies; after causing still ongoing harm, a notorious billionaire is (as predicted) leaving the current US regime; the USA is now targetting Chinese students; the US House of Representatives received an official social media correction over false claims it made about deficits and the bill it is currently considering;
the US Federal Reserve has “issued a rare [strongly worded] statement ... holding firm on the central bank’s independence amid pressure from [the current US president] to lower interest rates”;
§ On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters, the problem of ““remigration”: a far-right policy that calls for what has been described as “soft-style ethnic cleansing””; “‘No one voted to deport moms’: [the current US president] suffers backlash as ICE targets local friends and neighbours”;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding Ukraine/Russia include:
the current US president has warned that any attempt by Russia to conquer all of Ukraine will lead to its “downfall” (and more sanctions might be imposed), and has reacted to Zelens’kyi’s comment that “US silence ‘encourages Putin’”; range limits have been removed from use of weapons sent to Ukraine, and Germany will aid Ukraine in developing long range missiles; the EU defence commissioner has said “Russia is not winning the war in Ukraine, ... stressing Europe must stop relying on the United States to ensure that remains the case” - and the EU has a new Black Sea security strategy; two more nations have joined the Drone Coalition supporting Ukraine; a “Ukrainian commander faces trial for failing to stop torture within his unit”;
Germany will fully arm its military by 2029, which is when it considers NATO could attack Europe - Ukraine’s assessment is “2-4 years after war's end, faster with lifted sanctions”;
despite a conviction which should have removed him from office and an international warrant for his arrest, a pro-Russian ethnic separatist leader in Bosnia is considered a threat to peace in the Balkans;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) elsewhere include:
the nastiness of some people, and what to do about that (despite the floundering of other individuals and existing organisations) and the harm they are doing in the USA, including building anew afterwards, and in the UK and Scotland, opinions that “Thatcherism’s toxic legacy lives on in Reform UK”, which is “a real and present danger in Scotland”, “young people have the right to feel disillusioned”, and “people aren’t dissatisfied with Labour: they’re revolted”. A disturbing response to studying at night (which quite a few tertiary students do) led to an international student being (according to some, but not other police), in effect, deported from Australia, although she has now returned (with her mother) and is considering legal action. This also raises, IMO, questions about why some police HERE think they can emulate extremist values, words, and behaviours promoted by a fascist nation elsewhere. The EU has lifted sanctions on Syria, following the demise of the Assad regime. a warning that “interest rates in the UK and USA are way too high because markets have no faith in their leaders”; the decline of the Australian neolibs is further suggested by the declining numbers and increasing age of its membership;
Some thoughts on what I would describe as cluelessness; “The Tragic History of Neoliberalism ... Don’t buy revisionist attempts to rehabilitate it. Instead, push for a bold progressive populism”; “When ethics become alibis Journalists, as well as humanitarian agencies, risk complicity in suffering if they confuse ethics with moral values. Ethics, in their proper role, are not ends in themselves. They are expressions of deeper moral values – codified principles that guide our actions in alignment with what we believe to be right and good. But ethics can become unmoored from the values they are meant to serve, and when they do, they can lead not just to confusion but to complicity in harm”;
Noteworthy acts of resistance (noting the advice/examples/guidance here, here, here, here, here, here, here, this [on the efficacy of nonviolent protest], this book, this book, this, and these) include:
On other international affairs/political news matters this week:
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding West Asia include:
After being called out for “alleged” * abuses by Israel in Gaza and allegedly ** making this a “forever” war to avoid court over corruption charges from 2018 (note that all people facing criminal charges are innocent until proven guilty), Israel’s Prime Minister, has:
- made comments labelled as defamatory against the leaders of France, Canada, and the UK.
See here for a perspective on the Israeli PM’s “lies” (quote from that article) and his alleged use of this war to evade trial for the charges he faces, and:
- the culpability of those leaders doing the calling out for being so late to action, and
- the culpability of most media, but not the Scottish newspaper The National.
(In my nation, there is also a surge in anger amongst grassroots members of the ALP at the Australian [ALP] government’s inaction, and concerns that “a growing number of cultural institutions that have been co-opted into policing political expression”.)
* The ICJ has made determinations about Israel’s conduct in the Occupied West Bank, but not in Gaza - the only direction so far relates to preserving evidence ... but well regarded specialist organisations have made credible determinations that abuses have been committed - and a former Israeli Prime Minister has said his country is committing war crimes.
** The allegations of attempting to evade justice are themselves potentially defamatory, and, no matter that they have now been made by a lot of people, need to be proven in a court of law which has jurisdiction.
France’s President has described recognising Palestinian state as a ‘moral duty’.
As some Israelis march to demand an end to the attacks in Gaza and others march through Jerusalem and chant “death to Arabs”, IDF soldiers and former detainees have reported IDF use of Palestinians as human shields was systemic, and the Lemkin Institute has issued three statements: on the murders of a young Israeli couple with NO links to what has been happening in Gaza (“We Sacrifice Law and Morality When We Allow Israel to Commit Genocide Without Repercussions”), “We’re Glad to See You Use the G-Word, but Now You Must Act”, and “Four Facts about Israel’s Genocide”. There has also been a public letter by hundreds of UK and Irish writers on what is happening in Gaza, and 82% of Australians consider the blocking of aid unjustifiable.
A US-Egypt-Qatar ceasefire proposal accepted by Israel is being considered by H___s, “even though the reply does not meet any of the Palestinians’ “just and legitimate demands””;
The new aid distribution system (which included gravely concerning collection of biometric and other data) has started with humiliation, abuse, and dehumanisation of victims, and a complete loss of control that resulted in several deaths of victims who were supposed to be receiving aid, and mismanagement that is likely to kill more Palestinians.
⇒ a three member US panel ruled the current US president’s tariffs illegal ... but ANOTHER COURT HAS ALLOWED THEM TO STAY IN PLACE PENDING A DECISION BY THE US supreme court ... (see also this on the possible consequences - including CAPITAL FLIGHT);
Việt Nam’s actions in response to threatened US tariffs “suggested that at least some officials abroad were working from the assumption that the American president is corrupt and that doing favours for his family business would translate into favourable treatment from his administration”;
the US military is now telling African allies to be more self reliant; the humanitarian crisis in Sudan is deepening; the EU has sanctioned militia groups in Syria over recent violence against Alawites;
⇒ “dozens of countries joined China ... in establishing an international mediation-based dispute resolution group” This could be a step towards either reforming the United Nations or establishing a USA-free version of the UN;
On human rights matters:
⇒ the USA is trying to force hate speech into other nations;
⇒ described using Lebanon as a case study, the P in PTSD refers to "post", meaning after, so, strictly speaking, the trauma victims of war experience is not PTSD until a stable peace exists;
§ On genocide, a call for Palestinian journalists to be able to present evidence to the ICC;
- from Ethiopia: “Social media platforms “failed to adequately moderate genocidal content” during Tigray war, study finds” https://addisstandard.com/social-media-platforms-failed-to-adequately-moderate-genocidal-content-during-tigray-war-study-finds/
§ On LGBTQIASB+ issues, GLAAD has reported on how dangerous (see here for some commentary on that) social media platforms are for LGBTQIASB+ people - and what those platforms should do to fix the matter; more reporting on the massive problems with the Cass so-called “report”; a notorious billionaire transphobe will fund legal actions based on a genocidal ideology; as transphobic US politicians find a trans report they commissioned actually backs trans care for youth and transphobic UK politicians are confronted by protestors pointing out the reality that the transphobes are costing trans youth their lives, US prosecutors are considering hate crime charges after a lesbian was brutally attacked for looking butch/“too masculine”/trans - which attack on a cisgender women the previously mentioned notorious billionaire transphobe is being utterly silent on;
§ On racism, on the anniversary of the 1997 report into Australia’s stolen generations, only a few of the more than 50 recommendations have been implemented, and Aboriginal people feel ignored by the ALP on the basis of corporate capture. However, WA has become the 2nd last state (Qld is now the only hold out) to implement a redress scheme for members of the stolen generation - but WA police have chosen to allow racist, defamatory, and dangerous false identification comments to their social media posts to remain; “the WA Coroner has issued recommendations for the provision of culturally safe care to Aboriginal prisoners in Western Australia following an inquest into the death in custody of [a] 41-year-old Martu woman”; the US supreme court has decided to allow a mine on sacred Apache land;
§ On sexism, misogyny, and misandry, Saudi Arabia has secretive “rehabilitation” ‘prisons’ where “disobedient” girls and young women (because they argued with their fathers or husbands or resisted SA or CSA) face flogging and more abuse;
§ On other matters, an act of religious hate by Orthodox neochristians in Greece; neoliberals education is failing children; concerns by particular groups who have been the targets/victims of youth crime;
On societal and governance matters:
the problem of creating toxic loyalty in children; greedy, selfish, rich people are trying to block (a leading tax expert has called out the “‘confected outrage’ of wealthy Australians”) a reform; a call to “be on side of politics about what you are for, not against”; there are discrepancies between the full content of a report on the protection of Aboriginal rock art and the summary that was publicly released; a debunking of the “AI Will Create Plenty of Jobs” trope; a report on the neolib’s analysis of their massive defeat in the recent Australian election blames overconfidence following their defeat of the Voice (all discussed with not a mention of racism or an ounce of regret at the harm they caused by that, nor their questionable tactics) - and no mention either of being out of touch with the decency and change to right past/current wrongs that most Australians want; concerns about a local government activist group (which has shown anti-LGBTQIASB+ hate at the very least); a call for Australia’s energy transition to be fairer to renters; the problem of living pay day to pay day; Australia’s Productivity Commission has found that changes to working hours due to pandemic lockdowns and then return to work, not working from home, caused changes in productivity; a challenge to compulsory cashless systems; how Nordic nations are preparing for emergencies - which includes the concept of “total defence“, which “mobilises the whole of society to defend against military and non-military threats”; an opinion that “The super tax debate is divorced from reality – and more proof that Australia’s tax system is built for the rich ... The proposal will affect only 0.5% of people with superannuation and yet you would think the government is about to seize the means of production”;
⇒ ✰✰✰ From a spiritual perspective: continued commitment to integrity, values-connected ethics, and BPM morality are required, exercised with patient but BPM forceful persistence and due BPM self care ✰✰✰

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).#PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM because #KindnessIsThePoint
