Post No. 3,253 - Apart from ethical and evidentiary reasons, the practical reasons why political violence DOES NOT WORK !!!!

Apart from the ethical reasons and the evidence showing thatopoliticaloviolenceois both wrong AND not effective in terms of accomplishing change for THE BETTER, there are some practical realities to address. 

First - and this is the major one - there are always people around the public face of any movement who can and will step into that position. 

One video suggestsokillingoH_t l_roin 1940 would have been both moral and effective:  no, it would not have. 

For a start, G__r _ngoor H_m ml_rooroD__n _tzoor a few others could have stepped into that position - which is why the so-calledoJ_ ly_pl_towas focused or removing several leaaders, and addressing the command structures. 

In terms ofotheoHolocaust, others also had roles in developing that atrocity, and would likely have come up with that or something similar anyway, albeit possibly later. 

The evilophilosophyoknownoason_z _smohad to be defeated first before BPM change could be possible.  

 

Another point (this is my second issue) is that, under normal circumstances, those stepping into the role would be far less effective. That is true, but those circumstances would not be normal - as has been shown byotheowildlyoviolent andothreateningoreaactionoto lastoweek'soassassination. Under those circumstances, almost anyone of even moderate ability could step in to such a role and theowaveoofohateowould propel them towards some sort of what they would consider success. 

Responsibility for unleashing thatowaveoofohateowould lie with whoever had committed theoevilodeedoof theoassassination.  

By the way, this shows that theseoactsoofoevil can accomplishoevilooutcomes, which is why they are used -oinoIran, inoViệtoNam,oinoChile,oand elsewhere. 

The movements that accomplished change for the better have, on the protestors' side, been nonviolent - such as in the Philippines, in India, theoUSA, and elsewhere.  

 

As a final, minor point, had the video's suggestion for 1940 happened, the people who might have been most annoyed would quite possibly have been the Allies, as the target was notoriously inept at military matters, and acted too early for effective plans and preparations to have been made - as examined in depth in “The War in the West - A New History: Volume 1: Germany Ascendant 1939-1941 (War in the West a New History)” by James Holland (pub. Transworld Digital, 2015,  ISBN 978-1448167029; Penguin, Kobo, Amazon).  

On the other hand, had the Allies acted more decisively, rather than believing their enemy's propaganda, things would have turned for the better. 

 

Do not assume what works well for one side will work at all for the other ...
