The purposes of this post include:
(1) to provide information, includingonews, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide); and
(3) to help engage and frameomy emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of this post will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a goodostate to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within this post, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial commentsoby me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

News :
Noting the excellent daily aggregation of globalonews links at https://everythingbriefing.substack.com/
On the existential climate crisis & nuclear threats and environmental issues this week:
“extreme weather is costing Australia three times as much compared with 1990s, insurers say”; "New Zealand oceans warming 34% faster than the global average";
In the global war against f_sc_sm (and “producerism” and sociocide) - whichoisofought wherever we are (note the advice/examples/guidance on resistance here, here, here, here, here, here, here, this [on the efficacy of nonviolent protest], this book, this book, this, and these) this week:
“American Witches: Christian Nationalism Doesn’t Care If You’re Apolitical. You can't 'live and let live' your way through tyranny”; UK cuts to aid are racist (excellent comments including that aid is, in part, reparations for colonialism) and increased police powers against protests; the young in Spain are turning to the far right; “Scottish Government urged to prevent super rich from 'hoarding' land “Land is power, and far too much of it is in the hands of a very small number of extremely rich people. We need to turn that around, with curbs on how much can be held by any one person and what they use it for””; “if we want a better, more equal society, we need more tax. But more tax only works if big business pays their fair share”; concerns over the erosion of the right to protest in NSW; Australia's neoliberaloparties have been accused of going down theofarorightoextremistopathoof the USA, and in the UK a conservative MP has warned “rightowingoequivalentsoto the fascistsoof theothirties are backoonotheomarch”; thoughts on courageous governance; a death sentence has been ordered for an anti-government speech in Tunisia;
- “Why Cynicism is Just Moral Cowardice” https://www.joanwestenberg.com/p/why-cynicism-is-just-moral-cowardice by JA Westenberg
- “Beards, Professionalism, and Culture Warriors” https://www.patheos.com/blogs/johnbeckett/2025/10/beards-professionalism-and-culture-warriors.html “Professional” dress and grooming has nothing to do with the ability to do a job. If there was ever any doubt about that, Silicon Valley’s tech industry and Steve Jobs’ jeans and black turtleneck proved it conclusively. There’s something to be said for presenting a neat and clean appearance for customers – or just for yourself – but for jobs that have no customer interaction even that adds no value. “Professionalism” is about affirming and promoting the cultural superiority of the people in charge. In this country, that’s straight white upper-middle-class Christian men. When the recruiter and the VP of Sales said they wanted people to look “professional” they meant “I want them to look like me””;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA and theiroAutocrat-in-Chiefo(AIC), noting this on “a slight change of activist focus”, include:
The AIC's supreme court has removed protections for 300,000 Venezuelan "migrants" (Refugees? Asylum seekers?); an historical example of "real journalism"; the AIC's cluelessness is showing in comments that tourism from Canada is harmed by the lack of a trade deal trade, when it is actually abuse of people at borders - and continuing tariff problems; the sudden mid-interview muteness of a key M_oG_ figure reveals the depths of their hate; an interesting historical comparison ("pattern recognition") between the situations of theoAIC'sochiefoofostaffonow, in 2025, andoSt_ol_noino1925; an assessment of the increasedovulnerabilityoofomedia, and what to do about it; criticism of artistic (musical) dissent; concerns about the AIC's possible reactions when he doesn't win the Nobel peace prize; an expertoonoanti fascist movements has beenostopped from taking his family, afteroreceivingodeathothreats, to safetyoinoEurope; thousands of organisations have objected to the AIC's executiveoorder on so-calledo"domestic t_ror_r_sm"; more cowardly corporate compliance;
- Evidence of the AIC’s and/or his regime's unsuitability (including mentally) this week include: this (a reversal of course by "President Bystander"), this (an opinion too clueless to understand consequences of shutdown), this (pardons are for supporters), this (breach of campaign promises), this (not even a pretence of seriousness at the FBI), this (continuing military purge), this (actually his AG), this, this (bragging took away first amendment rights), this (habeas corpus), this (misunderstanding of the term ant_of_), this, this;
§ On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters, the increasingly violent brutality of ICE is turning more US people against the anti-immigrant hate (there must be a truth & justice style accountability for these thugs); the abuse of Korean workers, combined with the refusal of the USA and key US people to apologise, is continuing to block economic activities by Korea in the USA; foreigners are living in fear;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoUkraine/Russia (et al) include:
Drones, likely part of Russia'sohybridowar, possibly launchedofromoships (Finland has dropped the case against one ship), and with the possibility of being aosourceoofointelligence (drones were sighted over a Belgian arms manufacturer, and restrictions may be applied to Russian diplomats in Europe), have affected airports in Germany (one German state will allow police to shoot down drones) and Lithuania - which is preparing to evacuate thousands of people if the war spills over;
an assessment that Ukraine could be shifting to military deterrence; concerns that the Czech election result could - and the US government shutdown - harm Ukraine's ammunition supply (although Czechia has toned down its criticism since winning); Slovakia's PM has rejected a focus on defeating Russia and called for a quick end to the war in Ukraine - and Slovakia has sent its first non-lethal aid package to Ukraine; Russia-friendly Hungary's PM has, while continuing to oppose the aid that enables Ukraine's existence, said the existence of Ukraine is in the national interest of Hungary ... (??!!!); Poland has refused to hand over a Ukrainian being sought by Germany in relation to sabotage of a Russian gas pipeline; smuggled contraband in Ukraine; the risks at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant; Moldova's pro-Russian opposition has refused to accept the election result and threatened to protest; Tajikistan has let Russian President Putin enter without restraint or challenge despite an active International Criminal Court arrest warrant which is binding on that nation;
as the EU agrees to phase out Russian fossil fuels by 2028 (and the USA sanctions Serbia's main [Russian controlled] oil supplier), Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have agreed on funds to import gas (from where?) in response to Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and Russia is selling oil to India (who are paying in Chinese yuan) and importing fuel for domestic consumption from Belarus;
Ukraine has accused China of providing Russia with satellite targetting data; in addition to the thousands of North Koreans reportedly working in Russian factories, reports indicate up to 5,000 Cubans fighting with Russian troops in Ukraine; Russia's struggling economy; concerns that Russia is adopting pre-war posturing (I consider the assessments of people like Paul Warburg should be heeded here - Russia is in a poor situation militarily and economically, so any conflict is unlikely to involve large military invasions ... intensified hybrid warfare, maybe);
the USA has indicated support for maintaining nuclear limits with Russia; France has commenced a war crimes investigation into the killing of a French photojournalist, reportedly by a Russian drone;
On other international affairs/political news matters this week:
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoWest Asiaoinclude:
The two year anniversary of the vile t_r r_r_st attack on 7th October has been observed by a range of groups and in many places: see here, here, here, here, here, here, and also this and this on changing attitudes in the USA, this, this ACLED assessment of the regional impact, this on the world's worst diplomatic incompetence in over 80 years, but this on the possibility of peace ...
- “Sovereignty in All but Name: Israel’s Quickening Annexation of the West Bank” https://www.crisisgroup.org/middle-east-north-africa/israelpalestine/252-sovereignty-all-name-israels-quickening-annexation-west-bank “With prominent members serving in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, the settler movement is steering the Israeli state toward establishing formal permanent control of the occupied West Bank. Outside powers should commit to pushing Israel to change course – and put muscle behind the effort”
... and it appears the first phase of the ceasefire plan (and there are questions about the details) has been agreed - see also here (Al Jazeera) and here (AP News) (live updates), and here (timeline from Al Jazeera), here (Reuters), here (AP News), here (ABC), here (also ABC), here (The Independent), here (Kyiv Independent), here (France 24), here (Democracy Now), here (Meidas Touch Network), and here ("behind the scenes" from France 24) and this (The Guardian) on the work done on changing the AIC's views, copies of "the complete text of the agreement" from the Middle East Eye and Times of Israel, and Wikipedia, but see also this cautious opinion, which notes the asymmetric basis of the deal and the need for the Palestinian Authority to get its act sorted, and this examination of the consequences of this not being a peace agreement. A plan for the next 60 days if the ceasefire comes to be - which the notorious Israeli military says is happening, as the USA sends troops to help monitor and support the ceasefire; Gazans - scarred by two years of war - are starting to return to where their homes used to be; a warning that "massive political pressure" will be needed to stop Israel restarting the war;
A growing problem of gangs and intra-Palestinian violence; “Famine’s Long Shadow Even if food is surged into Gaza today, the history of weaponised mass starvation shows that the social aftershocks will reverberate for generations”; Jewish people are divided by the actions of the Netanyahu regime, with some Israelis volunteering to be human shields in the West Bank - despite abuse; there is Israeli support for the current US ceasefire plan (and the USA has "ordered" Israel to stop bombing Gaza ... [does anyone of even minimal competence really expect that to happen?] ) - but “little sympathy for Palestinians in war-ravaged Gaza”; multiple reports are emerging of abuse of activists on an aid flotilla detained by Israel in international waters;
antisemitism in France; an Australian survey shows 57% of respondents support sanctions on Israel and its leaders (similar to those against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine) for the ongoing attacks on Gaza - but narrow stereotypes ignore the complexity of who Arab Australians are; Australia's new head of the AFP has shown a pro-Israel bias, a possible biased assessment of protests, not shown any awareness of the vital necessity of dissent, used right wing phrasing, and limited awareness of minority rights (Indigenous and disability);
Suppression of dissent in Georgia as Morocco is urged to stop using excessive force; “Argentina’s Congress curbs Milei’s decree powers in major blow to libertarian leader”; Trinidad and Tobago's fishing industry has been curtailed by US attacks on boats off Venezuela; the junta in Myanmar/Burma has used motorised paragliders to attack civilians at a protest; US budget cuts have forced the UN to cut peacekeeping by 25%; a report that no hard evidence has yet been presented that the boats destroyed by the USA were drug boats (I note media reports that the Dominican Republic said it found a substantial quantity of drugs near the wreckage last week, and I note a comment in this video that the boats were not configured as normal fishing boats are in that region, but that video also contrasts the approach used by the USA in the Caribbean with that used in the Pacific, where suspect boats are interdicted, stopped, and checked first) as the US senate rejects a bill aimed at limiting the AIC's authority to use force; chlorine gas as a weapon in Sudan;
On human rightsomatters:
Concern over forced disappearances in Tanzania; Greece's failed anti-migrant scheme; how subtle changes could lead to AI undermining crisis responses;
Australia's federal government appears to have "quietly" abandoned its promise of a truth telling commission; more evidence of racism in Australia's health care system; historical trade between Indonesians and Australia's First Peoples;
past use of conversion practices in Australia;
Japan is likely to get its first female Prime Minister; rape and torture in the prisons of Syria's former Assad regime;
Fears of traumatising behaviour under the NDIS changes - see also this;
a breach has leaked sensitive official ID documents obtained as part of proof of age requirement for social media;
On societal and governanceomatters:
Australia will add "state sponsors of t_r r_r_sm" into the criminal code; concerning errors by phone companies during emergency call system outage; the UK's conservative party is facing extinction - something I predicted a few years ago for Australia's liberals, which they are also now facing, with votes similarly to the UK going to the more extreme right; an exemplar of the need for inward migration; calls to remember victims when extending AFP powers; “Gen Z faces ‘job-pocalypse’ as global firms prioritise AI over new hires, report says”; fears that FOI changes could cover up the next Robodebt; pubs may be dying out - thank the Goddess! I've only ever had abuse from drunks and emboldened bigots there, so won't miss them;

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our MÓ•gan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
