One of things that many insular activists (of the "charity begins at home" mould) either don't know, stupidly ignore, or irresponsibly disbelieve, is that nonphysical (i.e., "psychic" - including emotional, mental, and spiritual) energies interact.
That tends to depend on relative strength and efficiency - e.g., 5 units worth of focused "good" (i.e., BPM) energy may be better than 20 units worth of unfocused nonBPM energy.
But, remembering that a few decades ago around half (from memory) of the world's population lived in extreme poverty, we had a source of - in comparison to the situation I've more or less had in the back of my mind for the above example, of a few people - BILLIONS of units of nonBPM energy.
That's why all activists who fail to recognise that "charity doesn't stop at home" are DOOMED TO FAILURE.
Thinking we can fix things by solely focusing on laws and physical actions is stupid, because people are also influenced by nonphysical energy - and some of that from far away. Quite apart from the hypocrisy of ignoring moral wrongs because they're in other nations (and Martin Luther King pointed out that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere) and thus contributing badly to the moral soup we live in (and thereby creating to the drag backwards on EVERYONE who tries or even wants to be and do better), it also contributes badly to the psychic soup we live in - the psychic soup that contributed to the world's inaction when Yugoslavia was breaking up in the 90s, before, during and after the Rwandan and associated (before and after) genocides, and - in part - the current invasion of Ukraine.
Despots like Putin are able to draw on and use "negative" (i.e., nonBPM) nonphysical energy for their purposes.
Putin's cunning, contempt for life, and sadism are being ACTIVELY fed by the suffering in places like central Africa (from west to east), Libya, West Asia, every place in Australia that racism is being thought, felt, or enacted against Australia's Indigenous people, and every place in the USA where hate, fear, xenophobia, racism, LGBTIQ-phobia, classism and all the other myriad problems that have become so concentrated in that now thoroughly unexceptional nation.
It is ALL connected.
Right now, the most urgent need for energy is:
- in Ukraine, to give the people of Ukraine the boost that people in many other situations (including Stalingrad and the UK during World War Two) have been given,
- then to those allies and POTENTIAL allies of Ukraine (especially those brave protestors in Russia),
- next, to cut off Putin and his cronies from their nonBPM energy sources (see the list I gave above),
- and, finally, to prevent this ever happening again by getting rid of severe problems in the world such as poverty, racism, sexism, LGBTIQ-phobia, etc.
It is all connected - don't be insular.
And remember, when you see despots creating oppressive conditions in their nations - as Putin has done, that it may be the prelude to something worse.

The most disturbing vision I have seen so far is of a Russian tank swerving to run over a car travelling in the opposite direction (I found out subsequently the driver and sole occupant of the car survived, but the attempt was bloodthirsty). That is a war crime, and an appalling barbarity that shows how far some Russians have declined as human beings.
The other aspect of this is that nonBPM energy drags people backwards into sadism, hate, and violence. As Martin Luther King also said:
The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral. Returning violence with violence only multiplies violence, add deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
PPS - disturbingly, the Global Conscious Project's "dot" does not show much concern about events. There was a bit of indication before the invasion, but not now . . .
