Post No. 1,085 - Reflections

One of the consequences of having been so exhausted, and somewhat ill (a virus going back and forth through family and close friends), for so long is that I have been getting to bed earlier. Now, as I start to recover from the bug, I've been waking earlier, and this and last night I've been able to take advantage of clear spring nights (which can be a rarity in Melbourne - see here) and go look at stars early in the morning, and it's been marvellous.

There has been a nice trail from the seven sisters (Pleiades) through Taurus and Aldebaran, Orion, Sirius all the way to the Southern Cross.I like starlight nights (see here for a poem I wrote about such nights): I find them peaceful, regenerative, and inspiring of hope - which our garden is also doing, as we have the spring flowers bringing bees and butterflies, and wake to magpie songs.

It's a nice time of the year - and the fact that I am going to get one week of the TOIL (time-off-in-lieu [of paid overtime]) to rest and recover also helps :)

Wherever you are,may you be able to safely enjoy whatever seasons you have.

(I may add a photo of the bees later this week - our housemate apparently took a good photo.)

I apologise for publishing these posts twice, but Blogger keeps changing my formatting. I can either publish it and then correct it, or save and close the post and correct it when I reopen it, but that leaves an extra copy in my "drafts" folder ...

I am revamping my former website, and getting at least one other underway.
My "blogiography" (list of all posts and guide as to how to best use this site) is here, and my glossary/index is here
There is also a Yahoo group at https://au.groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/gnwmythr-discussion/info.

I started this blog to cover karmic regression-rescue (see here and here), and it grew ... See here for my group mind project, here and here for my "Pagans for Peace" project (and join me for a few minutes at some time between 8 and 11 PM on Sunday, wherever you are, to meditate-clear for peace), and here for my bindrune kit-bag. I also strongly recommend learning how to flame, ground and shield, do alternate nostril breathing, work with colour, and see also here and be flexible.
May the best in me, my Higher Self,
and those of the Clear Light who assist me,
help me to keep myself grounded, centred and shielded,
to be Balanced and a Fulcrum of Balance,
a centre of Balanced Positivity and Spiritual Maturity,
with my aura continuously cleansed, cleared and closed,
repelling all negative or unwanted energies,
whilst allowing positive, balancing and healing energies in and through.
The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral. Returning violence with violence only multiplies violence, add deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.

Post No. 131 - Forest Bathing

I came across a new term recently: "forest bathing". This describes what I need to do from time to time (especially for the last few weeks, when I have been unable to get out of the city!) brilliantly, and is a nice, new dimension to the joys of going bush ...

Apart from the Wikpedia entry, one link has the following on this:

"Hugh Pickens writes "The NY Times reports that although allergies and the promise of air-conditioning tend to drive people indoors at this time of year, when people spend time in more natural surroundings — forests, parks, and other places with plenty of trees — they experience increased immune function. A study of 280 healthy people in Japan, where visiting nature parks for therapeutic effect has become a popular practice called 'Shinrin-yoku,' or 'forest bathing,' found that being among plants produced 'lower concentrations of cortisol, lower pulse rate, and lower blood pressure,' among other things. Another study in 2007 showed that men who took two-hour walks in a forest over two days had a 50-percent spike in levels of natural killer cells, and a third study found an increase in white blood cells that lasted for a week in women exposed to phytoncides in forest air."

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
