Post No. 3,484 - Performative gender behaviour is ALWAYS dangerously, damagingly, TOXIC - amathiac, anti-spiritual, anti-human rights, antiwisdom

In the last week or so, one of the media outlets I trust commented on a report in a conservative rag that a cishet male was calling for conscription to be reintroduced - which is an idea those weak-minded (i.e., lacking in critical thinking), emotionally-incompetent, easily-controlled sock-puppets like because it is simple and crude and Newtonian enough for them to comprehend, and thus they “think” that it will work - because they “think” they understand it. 

The reality is that militaristic lifestyles, with often bullying and deliberate psychological breaking & abuse of people, are unsuited for the majority of people, and potentially rob the world of considerable human potential. They are social Darwinism writ large. 

It is also often tied up with patriarchal views of what gender is supposed to be (and, despite their protestations otherwise, they are describing gender, not biological sex) - views which reached their extreme under fascism, including the fascism which holds sway in the USA today, and is seeping into other nations. 

It leads to behaviours which are performative - NOT genuine, and quite toxic and destructive. Post No. 3,439 - Some thoughts on compensating for lack of authentic presence / “spiritual mass” [CW - mention of harm, abuse, violence, evil]

Descriptors based on size are fairly common in our world - some, a disturbingly low proportion, are based on actual physical characteristics (although there may be some relative considerations, such as the person who describes a lake as “big”, but then comes across an ocean for the first time). 

The characteristics has also been used to describe nonphysical attributes, such as someone who forgives something (being something that is not an example of toxic forgiveness) being described as “big”, rather than, say, generous, foresighted, community-focused, etc. 

It’s a shorthand notation that speaks to the tendency of many humans to think “bigger is better, biggest is best” - which error can be well illustrated by a smaller martial arts expert defeating a “bigger” expert in a contest: “size isn’t everything”. 

One of the worst afflictions of that error in the current world condition is what is termed “big  man  politics” - which is a derogatory term, different to the equally misogynistic term “great man (of history)”, and very different to the only such term I consider to be valid, which is the spiritual term “authentic  presence”, which I came across through Tibetan Buddhism. 

In my view, those - men and other genders - who consider themselves “big men” are so lacking in (to the point of being almost utterly devoid of) authentic (spiritual) presence that they will accoutrement themselves with the acts, harms, and outcomes of evil in an attempt to have enough “metaphysical mass” (a term I came across in Jim Butcher’s novel “Turn Coat”) to be noticeable. 

To phrase that a little more cleanly: 

In my view, those - men and other genders - who consider themselves “big men” are so lacking in authentic (spiritual) presence that they will accoutrement themselves with the acts, harms, and outcomes of evil in an attempt to have enough “metaphysical mass” to be noticeable.  

To use a (violent) physical analogy, it would be like someone who is short of stature killing people and stacking their bodies to create a platform for the short statured person to appear to be above everyone else in height. 

Such evil can also be done in the nonphysical realm, using things such as negative psychic control and psychic attack and the other  tools of abusers. 

And, in whatever realm (the realm of everyday life being of particular significance) such evil is done, it must, IMO, be BPM opposed with acts of BPM anti-evil, including the work of this blog.
