Post No. 635 - For Tomorrow Night's Meditation



As a reminder, I started this meditation regime based on the idea of generating the energy of peace, as set out in the channelled teachings of “The Nine” in Phyllis V. Schlemmer's "The Only Planet of Choice" (see p. 279 - well, in my copy at least :) ), which was the follow up to the brilliant "Briefing for the Landing on Planet Earth" by Stuart Holroyd [2]. “The Nine” proposed getting twelve (or a minimum of three) people to meditate for eighteen minutes (or a minimum of nine minutes) at 9 PM Sunday in Jerusalem, which is based on using the Magickal Principle of Harmony (of time), from the Watery Magickal Law of Frequency, and the Magickal Principle of Effect, from the Earthy Magickal Law of Strength and Common Sense. In other words, get everyone working together, at the same time, and as many people as possible, for as much impact as possible. Now, that is valid, but getting people to work at the same time across the world is an incredibly difficult proposition – and, in my experience (including for multinational companies in my day job), leads to fewer people taking part. That experience also includes my time at the Correllian Shrine of the Crystal Web, where one member (not me) pointed out that they had found that having people perform work at the same hour by their local time can build up a wave of energy going around the entire planet, which is the Magickal Principle of Dynamism from the Fiery Magickal Law of the Taijitu. That worked well there, and so I have adopted it for these meditations. I also am happy for every person who wants to contribute to do so, rather than waiting until there is a group of a minimum size, which relies on harmony of focus being a way of overcoming physical separation (which is the Magickal Principle of Magickal Distance, from the Airy Magickal Law of Distance).

“The Nine” are the first source I can remember talking about Balanced Positive, which is where I get the term BPLF [1], but I also include the use of clearing, so there is more than one difference to the original proposal. However, the more people who join in, the better.

I would also like to point out that other people have been working on the use of coordinated, group meditation for beneficial effect, including the Lucis Trust's Triangles network (which has been running for many decades, since before World War Part Two, I think), the Correllian Tradition's 'Spiritual War for Peace' (begun in 2014), the Healing Minute started by the late, great Harry Edwards (held at 10Am and 10PM local time each day, and one can pay to be officially registered. This also has been running for decades); and a Druid ritual for peace, to be performed at each Full Moon (begun in 2014, I think).

Matters from this week include the following (opportunities are shown in green; good news is shown in purple; WARNING: some of these links may contain triggers around issues such as violence, sexual assault, discrimination, etc):

  • permanent issue: may all actual and potential BPLF Leaders be kept safe against any/all attempts to divert them away from effectively fulfilling their role of Service to Life by being effective BPLF Leader(s), including keeping them undetectable to the nonBPLF and keeping all their Significant Others inviolable against being used for indirect psychic attack (including also being kept undetectable to the nonBPLF), all as is for the Highest Spiritual Good;

The big news this week was the appalling terrorist attacks in France: I have some links on those later.

From the UN’s Daily Briefings:

  • two Ebola vaccines have passed the first phase of testing (of their safety), and will now be trialled further on healthy volunteers;
  • the UN has confirmed that over 300 civilians were killed in South Sudan last April, apparently by opposition forces, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said it has received reports of significant civilian displacement in Sudan's North Darfur and South Darfur states due to an escalation of operations by Government forces against armed opposition groups in and around Jebel Marra, and the UN Peacekeeping Mission in the country (UNMISS), which is protecting over 100,000 refugees, has reported sightings of suspected Antonov airplanes (which are operated by the South Sudanese air force), aerial bombardments and small arms fire;
  • more peacekeepers in Mali have been attacked; 
  • more violence in Nigeria has killed hundreds and led thousands to flee to Chad, also suffering from the effects of the instability in Sudan, and Niger;
  • the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, says that deepening insecurity and violence in Yemen are wreaking a terrible toll on civilians, and he appealed today for more international attention to be focused on the plight of Yemenis;
  • the Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Libya, Bernardino Leon, has held meetings with Libyan stakeholders to discuss ways to end the hostilities and convene the political dialogue;
  • staff of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has been working around the clock this week to help millions of refugees and internally displaced people endure a severe winter storm that has been sweeping across much of the Middle East;
  • the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has presented their latest Food Price Index for the year 2014, showing the third consecutive year of falling prices in all commodities, except for meat, which rose 8.1%;
  • the Secretary-General has spoken with H.E. Mr. Joseph Kabila, President of DRC to review the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and called for decisive action against the FDLR;. This conflict may have killed between one and five million people (45,000 per month), and 400,000 women are estimated to have been raped every year as a result of it. This is one of those situations where it seems to me that BPLF military action is justified;
  • the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos has visited Lebanon to determine how the international community can support the Government of Lebanon, whose social services have been affected by the Syria crisis (which has disrupted education for 670,000 children), in providing assistance to vulnerable Lebanese, Syrians and Palestinians;

  • The Institute for War and Peace Reporting has reported on training of Iraqi police on the importance of community outreach to improve security, and has published an article titled “Constituency of Decency Must Prevail” in response to the terrorist atrocities in France this week, which has some very apt points;

  • Human Rights Watch has commented that responses to the atrocities in France must also protect rights, advises that Laos remains silent on civil society leader missing for two years after disappearing at a police checkpoint, reports on the first killing of a journalist in the Philippines this year, and reported on the terrorist atrocity in the Yemen, on the same day as the terrorist attacks in France;

  • The “War on the Rocks” blog has an article about the shortcomings of the UK prohibition of terrorist materials (i.e., that it prevents “knowing one’s enemy”, and compares this to one of the shortcomings of McCarthyism being a lack of knowledge about south east Asia and China that led to the Vietnam debacle in the next decade);

When I look at this news, there are a few things which come to mind. Firstly, I’m not working directly on the physical, nor is this blog about that: however, there is a lot that can be done non-physically. In general, every ‘bad news’ is something that requires 
(i) clearing of all negative energy directly associated with the event (e.g., pain, fear, etc on the part of the direct victims) or indirectly (e.g., fear, overreactions, inappropriate reactions, or seeking to outdo others’ reactions in others reached via the media); 
(ii) healing of those harmed; 
(iii) that those responsible be found through BPLF means and brought to BPLF justice (if otherwise, as the means shape the end, the result will a society that is lessened and a strengthening of the so-called ‘law of the jungle’); and 
(iv) that BPLF inspiration be given to enable all to rise above this, and take BPLF actions that will ensure a BPLF prevention of a recurrence, in the sense that President John F Kennedy talked of “true and lasting peace”. 
Thus, every one of these ‘bad news’ stories is an opportunity – but so are many of the ‘good news’ stories, which often requires nonBPLF units to be cleared to prevent blocking of improvements, to help those who are busting their guts and becoming exhausted trying to make good things happen, and to provide some much needed BPLF inspiration and encouragement –
   every
   single
   good
   news
   story.

More specifically, the theme that comes to mind for my work this week is of immature people who either won’t accept others choosing to live how they wish (i.e. ideological struggles), or who are too impatient to work patiently and persistently to achieve their ends through BPLF means, or who are simply addicted to power, which is possibly due to immature responses to having been on the receiving end of other people abusing their power. Maturity and patience and a genuine commitment to a BPLF system of ethics are much needed. In my case, I will probably use green energies for growth, the rune Eihwaz for perspective, and the influence of Tyr and Cerridwen to promote ethics, in addition to clearing nonBPLF units opposing these, sending healing, etc. Where I have permission, I will aim to bring the base, second, and solar plexus chakras of those who need it into balance, and stimulate the heart, third eye, crown and higher chakras to help the insecure to become mature enough to no longer fear difference.

Human dignity is the inherently cumulative holistic combination of human rights, wellbeing and potential, and all actions or interaction which promote, realise or facilitate same. The converse also applies: whatever degrades, diminishes or robs humans of dignity, is inherently undignified.

The “purpose” of spiritual evolution is not the attainment of “spiritual perfection” - not in the sense of not having to evolve further, at any rate, since there is no such thing. We need to evolve in order to grow - but we can take rest breaks (hopefully well earned :) ) along the way. No, the “purpose” of evolution is, rather, to perfect our ability to learn, and thus grow.

Post No. 634 - For Tonight's Meditation: An Apology

Owing to the last couple of days having been a mini-heatwave (mini as the temperature was only around 40 deg. C, rather than over 45 deg. C, and it only went for a couple of days, rather than a week) and a combination of the stupidity of post-World War Part Two house builders in Australia (I am working on a post about geoexchange heating/cooling and sensible things like active solar design, rather than the furphy of passive solar design) and the perfidy of landlords (which I have mentioned before, but additionally, "little" things like windows not being able to opened, or no screens on those that do - and real estate agents declaring those functioning adequately, like the leaking tap that has, over 8 years, destroyed a cupboard), the house we rent has remained an oven past the arrival of the cool change, so I was unable to get to sleep until around 5 A.M. this morning, and am in no condition to properly do a psychic weather report.

I will, however, state that:
  • the connected "trough" of negativity from last week appears to have been broken up;
  • the areas I will be focusing on energetically are Central Asia, the South Atlantic Ocean, Central Africa and North America.

  • the UN Secretary-General has condemned in the strongest terms the shelling that hit a wedding party in Helmand province on 31 December, which reportedly killed 25 civilians and wounded 45 others, and urged the Government to carry out a full investigation of the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice;
  • the UN Stabilization Mission in Mali, MINUSMA, has expressed its concerns following violence in recent days in Zarho, in the Timbuktu region, and Bamba, in the Gao region;
  • 2nd January, 2015 marked the expiration of a six month grace period granted by the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) for the full and unconditional surrender and demobilization of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR). The Team of International Envoys noted that the FDLR has not met this deadline, has in fact used this period to continue to commit human rights abuses against innocent people in Eastern DRC, recruit combatants, and champion its illegitimate political agenda, and thus, by failing to fully comply with the decisions of the ICGLR, SADC, and the United Nations Security Council, the FDLR has left the region and the international community with no other option than to pursue the military action by the DRC Government and MONUSCO, including its Force Intervention Brigade (FIB), in line with Security Council resolutions 2098 (2013) and 2147 (2014);
  • fighting has resumed in a number of areas in South Sudan, and two key UN officials have been expelled from Sudan, which will adversely impact humanitarian efforts. As livestock owners have fled the ongoing conflict, millions of animals have been displaced, leading to fresh outbreaks of disease and rising tensions between pastoral groups and farmers, as well as within different pastoralist communities. Both herders and farmers face a rising threat of armed conflict. Farmers have cut the amount of land they are planting by as much as 40 percent in areas such as Renk County, and the prices of basic staple foods are as much as four times higher in the most conflict-affected areas. As animals have been moved, diseases like East Coast Fever, foot-and-mouth disease and trypanosomiasis have devastated cattle production and have threatened the food security and livelihoods of pastoral communities across the country. FAO is increasing its livestock interventions in the country, focusing on strengthening and decentralizing the cold chain system for livestock vaccines, expanding the community-based animal health network and vaccination programme, deploying its own staff to lead and support disease surveillance efforts, helping to re-establish local laboratories for livestock disease diagnosis, and implementing a new milk voucher scheme for nutritionally at risk families;
  • according to casualty figures released on 1st January by the UN Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI), 1,101 Iraqis (680 civilian) were killed and another 1,868  (1,360 civilian) were wounded in acts of terrorism and violence in December. In 2014, UNAMI recorded a total minimum number of 35,408 civilian casualties (12,282 killed and 23,126 injured), which is higher than that in 2008 and is the worst experienced by Iraq since the violence in 2006-2007;
  • in response to events in The Gambia, the United Nation has expressed principled condemnation of all attempts to seize power through unconstitutional means, and called for all parties to exercise restraint and to refrain from further violence and for the establishment of a transparent investigation into the events of 30th December, in compliance with due process and respect for the rule of law. The United Nations will continue to closely monitor the situation;
  • UNIFIL and the Lebanese Armed Forces are investigating obstruction and attempts to interfere with a UNIFIL patrol which led to a warning shot being fired (is this potentially the entry or influence of Da’ish?);. The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly paid tribute to Lebanon’s security forces, particularly the army, for all the efforts and sacrifices they have made to safeguard the country in the face of grave challenges this year;
  • in Libya, a terrorist attack that targeted a hotel in Tobruk where the House of Representatives was in session, and airstrikes were made against targets in the city of Misrata. The UN Mission to Libya has reminded those advocating military escalation that (a) they are actively creating obstacles to a consensual political solution to Libya’s crisis, and (b) that their actions are in violation of Security Council resolutions on Libya;
  • the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) has committed two attacks in the past week in the Central African Republic (CAR): on 22nd December, some 11 armed LRA “elements” moved into Moussa village in Mbomou prefecture, took several villagers hostage and injured others, and fled when MINUSCA troops in Rafai moved into the area, leaving behind all hostages, but the following day attacked Dabiapali village, 5 km from Moussa, and took six hostages (two of whom escaped three days later) and fled in the direction of Zemio. (This is the mob against whom the somewhat infamous - or dubious - film "Kony 2012" was made. On that film, see here, particularly the referenced links, for a more nuanced assessment);
  • the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has called for the Government of Bahrain to immediately release opposition leader Sheikh Salman, as well as all other persons convicted or detained for merely exercising their fundamental rights to freedom of expression and assembly, and, should Sheikh Salman be brought to trial, the Government of Bahrain should guarantee a fair trial;
  • 230,000 people have been displaced and 14 have been killed by flooding in north-eastern Malaysia. The Government of Malaysia is leading the humanitarian response to the flooding by providing food, water and shelter to people affected. Further heavy rain is expected in the coming days;
  • Tropical Storm Jangmi - locally known as Seniang - made landfall on the northeast coast of Mindanao on 29th December, passing through the eastern and central islands of the Visayas in the Philippines. Twenty-one people have been killed and 10 are reported missing, and 90,700 people have been affected with 78,000 in 343 evacuation centres. The Government of the Philippines is leading the response, including search and rescue efforts;
  • in Mali, the UN Mission has condemned a rocket attack against its camp in Tessalit;
  • the UN Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) welcomed the consultation meeting on the political process in the Central African Republic (CAR) that was held on 27th December by the transitional authorities in Bangui;

  • the “War on the Rocks” blog has an article which mentions astral battles between the US and Russia (despite the somewhat disparaging reference, potentially significant in view of the Correllians determination of the causes of current negativity in the world) and gives a good example of the dangers of ‘urban myths’ and other conspiracy theories;   some thoughts on crisis management, limited and total war and how these relate to what has been happening in eastern Ukraine – which boils down to the phrase “there cannot be a military solution” (see here), but also the need to address what are – effectively – urban myths spread by agitators and other propaganda and to beware the “ ‘discourse trap’, whereby consistency with the fiction means that it must be upheld even when the result is to push policies to counter-productive and absurd positions”;   the links between India, Pakistan and the Middle East;   a story about the Cuban missile crisis;   some comments about the shortcomings of the media;

As another thought, did this karmically contribute to the invasion of Belgium at the start of World War Part One? No, I don’t think so – group karma takes a long time – hundreds of years – to eventuate, it seems, part of which is getting those souls who were responsible and haven’t learned individually back together again to see if they can learn as a group.

The “purpose” of spiritual evolution is not the attainment of “spiritual perfection” - not in the sense of not having to evolve further, at any rate, since there is no such thing. We need to evolve in order to grow - but we can take rest breaks (hopefully well earned :) ) along the way. No, the “purpose” of evolution is, rather, to perfect our ability to learn, and thus grow.

Post No. 632 - Esbats for Year 2015 CE

I haven't updated my reminders for Esbats for the coming Gregorian system year (2015 CE), but as part of my preparations for doing so, I tabulate the Esbats, and I've decided to post those for my and others' convenience.

 Esbats

Notes:

  1. all dates and times are AEST – DST in summer;
  2. the astrological sign of the Full Moon will be the opposite of the then current sign the Sun is in;
  3. the Dark Moon will be the same sign as that which the Sun is in at that time;
  4. as my rituals are based on astrology, they should be performed within the time period that the Moon is in that sign – which does not apply for more generic Esbat rituals;
  5. the energy of New and Dark Moon are different: as the time between New Mon and the passage of the Moon into the next sign may be short, it may be necessary to use the New Moon ritual I have written for the next astrological sign;
  6. ignoring the astrological aspects, I’ve generally found a Full Moon Esbat can be performed satisfactorily within two, maybe three days of the precise Full Moon, and a New Moon ritual can be performed up to three days after the Dark Moon – and may be best performed when the New Moon is actually visible.

Human dignity is the inherently cumulative holistic combination of human rights, wellbeing and potential, and all actions or interaction which promote, realise or facilitate same. The converse also applies: whatever degrades, diminishes or robs humans of dignity, is inherently undignified.
