Post No. 319 - Psychic attack

This was actually going to originally part of another post (in fact, it is still in the title of that post), but I had a few problems copying in a diagram and decided to omit it for the time being. Well, I've sorted the problem out, and am now going to put it up. Basically, this is an extract from my forthcoming regression-rescue book. But before I get to that, I want to emphasise a few points.

First off, dealing with sychic attack is not the sole preserve of the recipient of the attack: every single erson who becomes aware of it has a moral and karmic duty to do what they can to assist - and that does NOT mean give the recipient some flippant advice on how to deal with the issue. It means do what you can to cut off the attack (see here), and to bring the attacker back into a state of balance. It is exactly the same principle as eople in first world nations have a duty to try and do something useful for people in third world nations, or of helping someone who is drowning (see the link about "an inspiring story" in this post). Don't say "poor so-and-so" - take real, concrete, practical action. This is something I have to say both paganism and spiritualism seem to me to be weak on - helping someone who is under psychic attack. Shamanism is better, as are some New Age groups.

There is always something you can do - whether it just light a candle, make a prayer ("wish") or try some tonglen (see here and here). Always.

So, on to the extract from my book.

1.6.2 (c) Indirect psychic attack
i. Psychic attack may be sent against a person indirectly - by seeking to influence or affect other people about that person.
Some examples of this are:
- a person who is persuaded not to take up spiritual matters by a sceptical partner, where that scepticism is a result of the influence of some other entity;
- a person who ends up entertaining visitors when about to leave for a meeting they wanted to attend when the visitors were given the urge to visit by someone who wanted to person to miss that meeting for unsavoury reasons;
- a parent who has to take care of a suddenly demanding child rather than do something else, when the child’s behaviour is psychically triggered by someone else (this does NOT mean all such behaviour is automatically due to psychic attack; it also is difficult to deal with, owing to the child’s – by definition – limited maturity and strength);
and so on.
In each case the distracting or obstructing behaviour of another person may be caused by psychic attack, and can be checked using the Positive Energy Test. In this (and, indeed, any) form of attack, it may be important to ensure that the combined strength of minds visualising the white light is stronger than the combined strength of minds causing the attack. The minds visualising the white light include you, your DLF Guides, the DLF Guide(s) of the victim and - if you ask for their help, as you should - the DLF Guides of the person(s) manifesting and causing the attack, as well as any additional help you are karmically entitled to - and this is often the group of crucial help which tips the balance in your favour for those few seconds so you can know whether or not a problem exists. Those causing the attack include the person originating the attack, any earthbound discarnate entities who have joined in and the person(s) manifesting the attack (i.e., those people who are being distracting, etc. in response to the attacker’s influence). In the vast majority of cases, the combined strength of DLF mind far exceeds that of the attackers. However if the opposition is too strong, you may not get a reduction in the symptoms. So, if there is no change, but your intuition says something is wrong, ask your DLF guides to provide an opportunity where enough strength is available to get an accurate result. (This could lead to repeating the test in a higher energy environment, or meeting other people who can help with the test.)
Generally, people will have enough good karmic credit to get assistance from extra DLF guides, and so obtain an accurate, clear result for a few seconds. If it is a close thing though, you may not have enough good karma to repeat the test, and so may have to get other help if you wish to double check.
iii. Seemingly fortuitous events can also be due to psychic attack. When I was learning about these matters, I was told of one case where a brilliant rescue medium received the job offer of a lifetime - but had to move away and give up rescue to accept that offer.
I’ve also seen circumstances where someone has “found love”, and winds up giving up matters that were previously of considerable importance, such as spiritual growth. I have to question whether such relationships are, in fact, based on love … or negative psychic control
I should also point out that, in the event one gets into a loving relationship with eyes wide open, knowing that the prospective partner has either loads of negative karma, or lots of personal problems, many of the hassles, problems and obstructions may simply be due to having taken on the situation, not indirect psychic attack.
Of course some may be due to indirect psychic attack. How do you tell the difference? By using the “Positive Energy Test”.
iv. It is very important, when dealing with indirect psychic attack, not to make the mistake of getting angry with your attacker, or – worse – hating them. Apart from the fact that the people who is being manipulated or controlled into causing the attack being – in most cases – unaware that they are doing so, they may even think they are doing something of benefit to you. Now, the truth of the matter is that they aren’t, but it doesn’t help – in any face to face meetings - to behave as if they know they know they are doing evil (and all psychic attack is evil): they, usually, won’t have a clue why you are upset.
More importantly, however, if you do get angry or upset, you will feed the entity really responsible, possibly an uncooperative discarnate earthbound, EXACTLY the sort of energy they want and are using to control the person doing the attack on you. You will, by your reaction, validate – to them – that they are being effective.
So, in a very real, pragmatic sense, it is important not to hate your enemy.
Actualy, I think I'll chuck in the section on direct psychic attack for good measure

(a) Direct psychic attack
i. Psychic attack is the direction of negative energy (either the attacker’s or from other sources) against a particular person, group of people, thing, or even nothing in particular.
The negative energy could be:
- thoughts of accidents, scepticism, anger, hate, jealously, resentment, or even strong parental or other criticism.
That is NOT to say all “negative” thinking or criticism constitutes psychic attack: it doesn’t. It is when such negative thinking, or negative emotion, is directed outwards that it is psychic attack.
(And don’t confuse strong, valid criticism that you do not like with negative criticism!)
That qualification raises another immediate, important comment. Talking to "get things off one’s chest" does not constitute psychic attack - unless it is done in a bitter or savage way that, rather than allowing a clearing of the air and then leading to constructive acknowledgment of causes of problems, unjustly blames another person as the cause of one’s own problems. Many times talking things out reveals a lack of assertiveness, and a need therefore to take more constructive action (based on my experience). But sometimes the talking degenerates into a “hate session”: that is not good for anyone, and may constitute psychic attack. It is good practice to set up protection for any “get it off your chest” type talk: that way the negative energy being released will be cleared, rather than be allowed to float free and possibly unintentionally harm another.
As parts of ourselves are nonphysical, and, in fact, exist on the levels of these various emotions, it is possible for these negative energies to impact adversely on us.
ii. The results of psychic attack depend on the relative strength of the attack and the victim’s aura. If the attack is slightly stronger than the aura, the victim may experience relatively mild symptoms of psychic attack. If the attack is much stronger than the aura, the victim may experience strong symptoms of psychic attack. If the aura is stronger than the psychic attack, the victim may not notice anything at all.
The symptoms of psychic attack are changes in one’s state of being, including depression, crying, poor sleep, loss of health, loss of confidence, a proneness to accidents (possibly due to distraction), irritability or anger, poor decision making, loss of ability to do things, suicide, car not starting, computer bugs, heart attacks, missed opportunities, inability to take favourable opportunities - and the list goes on. These symptoms either start or, if already present, become worse with the onset of psychic attack.
To put it briefly, being under psychic attack ranges from merely unpleasant to potentially fatal.
iii. The first skill one needs to develop is the ability to detect when one is under psychic attack. This is done by using the “Positive Energy Test”.
LEARN THIS THOROUGHLY - IT IS A VITAL, BASIC SKILL
1. Ask for maximum DLF protection and guidance for the Highest Spiritual Good (HSG).
2. Imagine the area (or problem situation) being surrounded with positive energy.
3. Ask that maximum love and light for the HSG be sent to all "units" (i.e., people, energies, places, astral objects, thought forms, etc.) contributing either directly or indirectly to the attack. (A unit can contribute indirectly to attack by, for example, aggravating a weakness in the victim, or strengthening attacking units. So, a thought form that distracts the victim - or causes the victim to be distracted by someone else - with the result that the victim forgets to defend themself, or doesn’t do so properly, would be considered an indirectly contributing unit, or “supporting” unit. As another example, discarnate entities urging an incarnate to think negatively may be regarded as supporting, (i.e. indirectly attacking) units. Energy from a negative family member making an attacker irritable could be another indirectly contributing unit.)
4. Ask for the component of the problem that is due to psychic attack (or, if you want to be more specific: "psychic attack from ..." and name a particular suspect or source) be taken out by the DLF for a few seconds.
The proportion of the problem that goes (for those few seconds) is the proportion assumed to be due to psychic attack.
iv. One should also keep in mind that anyone who is not a saint, bodhisattva or very advanced soul, is capable of giving out psychic attack. If you are not prepared to admit the possibility of you attacking others, then pride may be a fault you need to overcome – as may doing psychic attack.
Now: a few brief comments on the causes and cures of psychic attack.
1.6.2 (b) Causes and cures of direct psychic attack
i. Most psychic attack is caused by the attacker not acknowledging the victim’s right to free will. The attacker may dislike the victim’s hair do, apparent social success, religious or political or other beliefs, independent behaviour or anything else. Most of the rest of psychic attack is caused by the attacker not caring what happens to others. For instance, the attacker may be in an irritable mood, and either take it out on others or just let their negative energy seep out and poison the psychic environment.
ii. If you are attacking someone, you should quickly (immediately) check your inner self (by reflecting on your emotional and mental state of being) to find out why you are attacking. Then - change yourself! That is easily said, but less easily done. There is a knack to being able to change ones beliefs or moods quickly, and when that is done one experiences a surge of positive energy (which had been locked out by the negativity). However, many people do not have the necessary spiritual philosophy or experience, or are simply too stubborn or self-righteous, to change quickly (or even to acknowledge their attack, in some cases). For those people, the only remedy - and it is a temporary one - is to surround themself and their victim with white light - using more of their strength than they are dedicating to attacking. That is not easy: in terms of the energy used, it is usually easier to stop attacking.
If you suspect that someone is suffering as a result of negative energy that you (whether consciously or subconsciously), are radiating, then try checking this with the Positive Energy Test on the person you may be affecting. This is done by visualising the positive energy about them, and then proceeding as before. If your negative energy is affecting the person, they will generally show an improvement with the application of this test. For example, they may become less flustered, less tired, less nauseated, etc. If that occurs, it is your responsibility to stop attacking that person. This is a major point in improving this planet: people taking full personal responsibility, and stopping any negativity that they are responsible for.
iii. Codes of behaviour have to be considered here. You may well have a valid disagreement with your victim, but psychic attack is no more a solution to the problem than physical forms of revenge - both simply make the situation worse, and prevent any meaningful discussion. (Personally, whenever I am having trouble stopping myself attacking another person, I consider the examples of dedication to spiritual values set by Mohandas K. Gandhi.)
Karmically, your psychic attack will be returned to you - but I consider it better to stop attacking by growing, rather than out of fear of karmic returns. Having said that, stopping attacking out of fear of karmic return is better than not stopping!
