Post No. 514 - For tonight's meditation

A few points to contemplate for tonight's meditation:

• a peace agreement has been signed in South Sudan, but there remains a long way to go; 
• elections have been held in the Central African Republic, but there remains a long way to go; 
• the opposing forces in Syria are sitting in the same room at the "Geneva II" conference, but not yet actually talking to each other; 
• at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the tensions in East Asia are becoming apparent; 
• the situation in the Middle East remains poor; 
• the situation in Egypt is deteriorating; 
• and there are many other situations and problems, large and small, to be dealt with in the world ...
