For the sake of my health, until I retire or change to an
easier day job , I have cut back these posts.
Information and Summary of News with Opinion / Advocacy / Analysis:
Notes:
(1) I am NOT a journalist, and make NO claims to objectivity or freedom from bias.
(2) Furthermore, I do not hold copyright to any of the articles I link to, nor do I claim authorship, except for those links to material I have written for this and my related blogs, and my commentary in these posts. (I try to make sure quotes are shown using quotation marks.)
The purpose of posting these news
links is
not only
to inform; it is also to
stimulate a connection to:
- nonBPM units that need to be cleared, and
- BPM units that need to be strengthened,
so that you can do the clearing / strengthening that is required.
That only
works if you don’t let yourself be overwhelmed by this, so take it
in small chunks if you need to, but remember to actively clear and heal! … including yourself.
As part of that, note
that there are key uncooperatives
to be cleared (rescued):
you should ONLY address those that are within your ability – if you get a
sense (e.g., through meditation) or are told by your BPM Guides/Higher
Self to back off, do so, and content yourself with clearing the smaller
nonBPM units within your capability – which will weaken those
uncooperatives. More importantly, there are many people doing this sort of
work, and others are quite likely to be able
to clear the uncooperatives concerned.
That is also one of the
many reasons it is OK to take a break or cut back this work if you need – in
fact, doing so will help you deal with the next point, which is …
… the energies we use and manifest in our daily lives contribute to the larger soup of energies that influence world events, so it pays to address those as well, to the extent that one can, or to at least stop oneself projecting them into the psychic soup.

The reminders /
explanations about Sunday’s meditation-clearing
are here; see also here, here, here, (here and also here and here are interesting), here,
here, here, and
this
post reminds us to be patient and persistent, like a “speeding oak”.
There are some notes at
the end of this post about other options for those who do not like this way of
working.
Finally, one of the biggest concerns I have about spirituality in the
world now is that the concept of agape type love has been perverted into both a
quest for emotional warm fuzzies, and an excuse to avoid doing the hard work of
improving oneself and
all that one does. On that, it may help to consider the simplification
that one cannot love perfectly until one has learned how to perfect. (And one of the concerns I have about
those resisting change is that they are so shallow / superficial /stupid that
they thing their actions have ONLY the meaning of their [limited] conscious
intention … ) See also here
and here.
The themes that come to mind for my work
this week, after I review all this news, are:
(a) based on my interpretation of information here and here with Uranus in Aries contributing to fresh and possibly radical starts (until March 2019), and Pluto in Capricorn contributing to a transformation of power and business (and careers) (until some date in the Year 2024), conditions are ripe for a change for the better in world politics;(b) there is an enormous need to clear nonBPM energy – the thought forms, unattached energy and scars of the collective unconscious created by millennia of violence, including spirit rescue, and healing the warped views, seemingly “inherent” biases, and other damage created. Also, remember:
(1) the counter to fear is genuine EQ and clear thinking, expressed through calm, de-escalating speech,
(2) where problems exist, advocating for BPM responses, and being as BPM as one can be, are constructive solutions,
(3) peace is powerful, but it is a process requiring patient, persistent and nuanced nurturing, and a blend of conventional spiritual work, clearing nonBPM units, and physical world activism;(c) dealing with the 45th “President” (i.e., CEO) of the USA requires:
1. eroding (i.e., slow, patient and persistent clearing of the little bits one can SAFELY cope with – remember, you are but one of many) the nonBPM influences feeding his arrogance and mind-set, and strengthening the that person’s BPM Guides and giving those BPM Guides whatever BPM help they need to present a BPM alternative to promote a change of heart,
2. lifting the nonBPM influences from the shoulders of that person’s marginal supporters, allowing them to “come to their senses”, which may result in them feeling bewilderment/shame, and simultaneously strengthening the BPM influences around them (e.g., their BPM Guides) to counter them backsliding,
3. physical world activism (especially education) – e.g., this. As well as doing what one can there, help those who are doing this work (e.g., sending them “positive vibes”) and look for nonBPM blockages that can be cleared (e.g., setting up a BPM vortex above meetings to draw away external nonBPM influences/energies/units, so that the audience can listen as they are, without any obsession/possession);(d) the major events this week are:
(i) as attraction to violence continues to be inadequately addressed and the search for humans rights abusers continues, the risks of mass atrocities in Democratic Republic of the Congo, Yemen and Nigeria;
(ii) ongoing violent conflicts and crises in Syria, Afghanistan, Mexico, Iraq, Burma, Somalia, South Sudan, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Libya, Sudan (Darfur and South Kordofan), Yemen, Egypt (Sinai), Kurdistan, the Philippines, Ethiopia, Mali, DR Congo, Burundi, Kashmir, Baluchistan (Pakistan and Iran), India (Maoist and other insurgencies), the Maghreb (Africa), Ukraine, and elsewhere;
(iii) refugee and humanitarian crises; - the political madness of regimes with authoritarian leaders – and all who put or keep them there; - and, specific to this week, limited media coverage, problems with bigotry, including the failure to heed or learn the lessons of the past; personal childishness in supposed leaders; mistakenly thinking that power at all costs is OK; mistaking nationalism for something noble; some gains for minorities, and some setbacks; limited understanding / acceptance of the fact that people all think differently; arrogance and lack of compassion / empathy; use of power and influence to obtain control; failure to use influence for BPM purposes when that is possible, largely owing to false equivalences; abuse of power;(e) may all people recognise the essential humanity of all other people, and allow themselves to feel empathy accordingly;(f) may people be willing and confident enough to learn through means other than direct contact;(g) may all people be aware of the further consequences of their deeds, and act only in BPM ways;(h) may people never place the desires and comfort and power of themselves and their acquaintances ahead of the wellbeing of the more deserving;(i) may people be confident enough to never be selfish;(j) may people be willing to be courageous in the face of fear;(k) may people discern what is BPM, and willingly listen;(l) may all BPM groups flourish and be safe;(m) may the worlds of non-humans never be forgotten or ignored;It is absolutely VITAL that this psychic / metaphysical / spiritual work be performed non-violently and as is for the Highest Spiritual Good – which is part of being BPM – on all levels and in all ways. Always remember (see here): Do you fight to change things, or to punish? See also here, here, here, here, here, and my comments about “authentic presence” in this post.
News and other matters
from this past week follows:
news items are presented in the following sections (there is overlap, and items may appear more than once):
- Permanent and Thematically Arranged News,- Location Based News,- (from a range of) Other Sites (if I have any this week);opportunities/good news (in my opinion) are shown in green;comments (by me) are shown in purple; andWARNING: some of these links may contain triggers around issues such as violence, sexual assault, discrimination, etc.
Permanent Issues and Thematically Arranged News:
- Permanent issue: may all actual and potential BPM Leaders be kept BPM safe, including keeping them undetectable to the nonBPM and keeping all their Significant Others inviolable against being used for indirect psychic attack, and may they have all the BPM resources (including an assured income, given the power that nonBPM forces have in the structures of the material world), opportunities and assistance (including so-called “good luck”) for them to be BPM effective at influencing the world’s direction, development and unfoldment, all as is for the Highest Spiritual Good;
- Permanent issue: may all humans recognise, irrespective of the appearance of difference, the essential shared humanness of other people, the inherent resilience, the dynamic power, the strength of BPM collaboration, and the opportunities of having a diverse, inclusive and welcoming population, and may all people choose fairness, when such decisions are before them;
- Permanent issue: may all actual and potential BPM Violence Interrupters (and Interrupters of hate / fear / anger) of be kept BPM safe, and may they have all the BPM opportunities and assistance (so-called “good luck”) for them to be BPM effective at containing and stopping – along the lines of the Cure Violence model - the spread of violence (and hate / fear / anger), all as is for the Highest Spiritual Good;
- Permanent issue: may all humans choose to live modestly – to forgo outdoing others, or trying to have more than they need - for the sake of an easier, more manageable life, if they cannot do it for the sake of the planet, may we all exercise our human characteristics of reason, self discipline and improvement to overcome the often evil flaw of seeking social status;
- Permanent issue: may all humans be in better communication with the better parts of their nature – especially those who need that more than other, better people;
- Matters warranting particular attention:
this week on reversing the deliberate, well-funded, long-term strategy (from about the 70s) to make self-interest seem normal and a commitment to fairness (such as former US President Franklin D Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms) an aberration (see also here, here, and here) : the entirety of this blog and all other spiritual work and physical activism I and many others do; the story of the women’s bank in India (I like the comment “never provide poor solutions to poor people”);
on other matters requiring particular attention:
- sadly, this week, I found nothing in the news on Afghanistan, the Rohingya, Ukraine, nor from South or Central America;
- as Germany’s Chancellor warns against anti-Semitism on the anniversary of Kristallnacht, a survivor of that terrible event (which an Indigenous Australian protested against) is terrified by the way society is going – see also here, and here;
- anti-Israel threats and tensions between Lebanon and Israel are growing;
- concerns over gerrymandering in the USA – see also here; Russian trolls were “at it again” before this week’s US elections - which resulted in Democrats taking control of the US House of Representatives while Republicans retain control of the US Senate, which could lead to challenges all round, but had some positive outcomes , including for women. Meanwhile, following the sacking of the USA’s Attorney-General (who had recused himself from the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US Presidential election, but has left a terrible legacy on asylum seekers) which possibly puts the Russian interference investigation at risk, after a fiery press conference with POTIS45 quickly reverting from an attempt to be gracious to boorishly attacking those Republicans who distanced themselves from him and a clash with a reporter marked by an intern trying to forcibly remove the journalist’s microphone, a journalist’s credentials have been suspended, which was followed by release of a clumsily tampered video to try to create an impression the journalist has pushed an intern. Having watched this incident, that anyone could think any of the behaviour of this “President” is believable, or anything other than schoolyard bluster and bullying (sadly, none of which would trigger the USA’s “25th Amendment”), is beyond any rational comprehension, in my opinion. His presence in that role is a now indictment of all - including those who elected a brothel-owning, evangelical Christian ahead of a female Democratic candidate and educator - who support him . . . but, on that, for “those who expected a tsunami of Americans to reject [POTUS45’s] hard-line immigration stance, his bulldog approach to world affairs and trade, his sometimes xenophobic, racist, sexist and contradictory rhetoric, his attacks on the press, his erratic tweeting, his belligerence, out of some sort of epiphany of conscience: it's time to wake up and realise that's not going to happen”;
- calls for the USA to stay in the treaty with Russia that their schoolyard bully “president” wants to scrap;
- against confirmation that “China’s lending is a problem for debt-vulnerable countries” and a summary of Chinese and international policies over the number of Chinas, China has an AI news presenter and is recruiting teenagers to design AI weapons . . . ;
- as one Senator’s attempt to end a defamation case fails (the case will go to court) and him paying costs, another even more power hungry, uncaring and hypocritical MP appropriates a woman’s pain for political gain, thus heartbreakingly forcing yet another woman trying to ignore or have sexual harassment dealt with quietly into the open (her alleged abuser will not have his threatened defamation case funded by his party) as another unwanted case continues;
- as US-North Korean nuclear talks falter, the financial risks of the USA’s nuclear modernisation programme;
- an examination of how to overcome Sunni-Shia divides;
- an examination of violence in the Central African Republic leads to a call to cut off funds (cash flow) to violent parties;
- against a background this week of an oppressive caseload in my home state’s court system (which is possibly symptomatic of others) and a violent disturbance in a notorious youth detention centre, some conservative sources are - surprisingly – arguing for getting people OUT of jails (because of the harm done, and recidivism); with accusations of racial bias from a University student “who spent four weeks in solitary confinement after being falsely accused of terror offences”, as allegations emerge that a corrupt police officer may have paid a serial rapist “more than $100,000 in public money” and interfered in investigations of the rapist’s crimes, in a blow to victims of sexual assault everywhere, a woman has made a false rape allegation. Meanwhile, as police in my home city show exemplary professionalism (especially consideration of idiotic spectators) in a violent extremist event, a police officer in another state “has refused to answer questions at a tribunal, in fear of incriminating himself, about how a woman's address was leaked to her allegedly violent ex-husband” and some police in Peru have been arrested for trafficking babies; “our drug laws are tearing apart our social fabric, as well as harming drug users and their families”;
this week’s atrocity alert at R2P lists Democratic Republic of the Congo, Yemen and Nigeria; - With regard to democracy (which can
be measured [as can goodness], requires protection of minorities and the vulnerable - and remember Gandhi’s question about whether
one is fighting to change things, or to punish, and
note this list of 198 methods of nonviolent action), freedom, governance (e.g., here, here, here and here, and see also here) and ethics:
Note: I have a section specifically for the 45th US “President” (i.e., CEO) below
analyses, research and commentary this week include:
- rules around voting in the various states of the USA (a lot of racist stuff there . . . I liked the comment “they may not have nefarious intent, but they will have nefarious effect”) – see also here, on the quirks and strangeness; a TEDx talk on whistleblowers; a re-examination of the ethical challenges facing those serving under POTUS45, including criticism of some choices; company boards are “still missing the point” on extremely high pay to executives; a critique of the UK’s robust, “managed confrontation” with Russia over the latter’s chemical attacks within the UK; a Freedom House report indicates that “governments around the world are tightening control over citizens’ data and using claims of “fake news” to suppress dissent, eroding trust in the internet as well as the foundations of democracy” (I may have already posted a link on this recently); an examination of attempts to mend damage to Australian-Indonesian relations caused by the recent “decision” to relocate Australia’s Israeli Embassy to (West?) Jerusalem;
- for other analyses see: here (why African dictators resigned en masse);
of concern internationally this week:
- Poland’s leaders are joining anti-Semitic protests; continuing opposition to the dissolution of Parliament in Sri Lanka;
and democracy/governance/political matters in my home nation this week:
on the Royal Commission into banks, and similar matters:
- a boost to banking regulation;
on other matters:
- the legal battle between a union and a former government Minister is continuing; the experiences and impacts of Chinese people in Australia; an examination of the thaw between Australia and China (which may be in response to the pressure of the US-China trade war); most women will retire with “enough savings” to live comfortably (if they can also get a reasonable pension), but NOT older women who are renting; both main parties support increased aid in the Pacific to counter growing Chinese influence; - With regard to the USA and their schoolyard
BULLYING, unpresidential
45th “President” (“POTUS45”) (see here on actions
for US residents [and the useful principles]) this week (the VP is at least as bad):
- “POTUS45” has been accused of “misappropriating” a trademark;
- a rebuttal of POTUS45’s claim he can use an Executive Order to end the USA’s “birthright citizenship”;
- two musicians have used social media “to respond to reports from people that their songs were being played at [POTUS45’s] rallies — and to confirm they have lodged formal complaints against his use of their music”; - With regard to violent
extremism (VE) (aka, terrorism)
(ALL people advocating hate or discrimination in response to
violent extremism are actively doing the work of violent extremists. This will be countered, in part, by “Cure
Violence”,
real and perceived disempowerment and acknowledging the variety in what
provides genuine, BPM fulfilment as a counter to fanaticism as a source of meaning, and good
old fashioned police work. I don’t
name groups to reduce their publicity):
- according to this Wikipedia page, there have been 5 attacks in Iraq, 9 attacks in Afghanistan, and 7 attacks in Syria (out of a total of 49); - With regard to refugees (noting the New York Declaration) and people
seeking asylum:
- another report on the children who have become suicidal as a result of being in Australia’s refuge gulags; Papua New Guinea is clearing refugees out of its capital city ahead of next week's APEC summit before their medical treatment was completed; - With regard to other human (and other) rights and
discrimination (incidentally,
I consider it vital to identify people who are bigots, as they clearly have
flaws of observation and thinking – shown by the fact that NOT all people choose to discriminate unless they have been
educated otherwise [and there’s this]):
- more Christians’ objecting to neochristian bigotry, hate and prejudice; an article on alleged corporate human rights abuses in West Papua, and the response;
- in addition to opportunities below on child abuse and human trafficking, general opportunities to take action on human rights here, here (for example), and, this week, here, here;
- other human rights matters have also occurred in: young adult publishing;
on HOMOPHOBIA/TRANSPHOBIA (including heteronormativity and cisgender-normativity) this week (and noting that trans kids are the same as cis kids of the trans kids’ true gender):
- an early example of racism in Australia may have been influenced by a desire to sell more books; a supported transition;
on white supremacist and other forms of RACISM / CULTURAL DISCRIMINATION and Indigenous matters generally this week:
- a judge in my home state has warned that “media coverage of African offenders [is] ‘skewed’ “ - see also here; traditional Australian indigenous “pop” songs have been transmitted for thousands of years; how an Aboriginal woman avoids dating a racist; an inclusive children’s book; a sacred site has been vandalised;
on TRAFFICKING, and CHILDREN’s and associated human rights this week:
- a US Girl Scout has been honoured for her efforts to counter human trafficking and child marriage; “major corporations who claim to be committed to tackling the threat of forced labour often tell "fairy tales" that belie workplace exploitation and shirk responsibility for cleaning up their supply chains”; the UK “has increased aid for victims of trafficking and modern slavery after deep cuts to their living allowances were challenged in court”;
- also on slavery / human trafficking this week: Qatar, China, music (good news), Indonesia / Japan, UK, Mauritania;
- opportunities to take action this week;
on SEXISM this week (keeping in mind the overblown influence given to testosterone, and the potential value to women of using anger):
- the ongoing effects of domestic violence; an eight year old girl has successfully got cereal companies to agree to include female action figures on its cereal boxes;
- on sexual harassment/misconduct/violence this week, see: here (murder in a jealous rage), here;
- other sexism matters have also occurred in: India (good news);
on ANIMALS’ rights this week:
- one horse was euthanized after my nation’s biggest horse race – killed, as some animal rights organisations have put it, for gambling . . . ;
on PRIVACY, AGED, DIFFERENTLY ABLED, AND OTHER forms of human (and other – e.g., ANIMAL) rights this week:
- a paraplegic is suing an airport for removing his independence after his self-propelled wheelchair was left on a flight, in the week that a child in a wheelchair was refused bus service; a report on the “abuse and neglect of vulnerable adults”; - With regard to war, violence
and hate generally:
- another mass murder using guns in the USA; a lecture on the prevention of armed conflict (I haven’t listened to this yet); the origin of the minute’s silence; - With regard to peace:
- for the centenary of the armistice that ended World War Part One, a call to remember “those who fought against conscription, and against the war, including a significant number of conscientious objectors”; a video on “how far we have to go to achieve peace, justice and strong institutions in the world by 2030”; - With regard to spirituality and/or psychism generally (including empathy, revolutionary
love, survival after death, and good religion), and the occasional nice story (and
to get people to constructively remedy: fear of being single / asexual / off-grid or a
rebel / innovator / non-conformist / true to yourself, belief in management fads and fashions, distracting
themself aka filling their time, and accept beneficent extraterrestrial UFOs):
- I have been watching and, in some cases, re-watching this series of documentaries; an appalling burning of a Grenfell Tower effigy shows how unevolved some people are; an examination of the violent neochristian invasion of what has now become the USA (which is likely to apply to most other former European colonies, including my nation – in fact, it still does, with peer pressure to clear land mindlessly, for instance; with profound apologies for using a social media link, an article asking why so many leaders are arrogant, despite the importance of humility; - With regard to natural and other catastrophes:
- Italy’s wild weather has now killed over 20 people; a “31 vehicle” traffic accident in China has killed more than a dozen people; thousands have evacuated ahead of massive bushfires in a US state; floods have killed at least 12 people in Jordan, and forced thousands of tourists to flee; - With regard to overcrowding and “modern” lifestyle issues (such as conflict minerals,
environmental harm and child labour in smart phones, FOMO [which can be overcome] and addiction or unthinking pro-technology bias, second thoughts,
social media making people miserable or envious, work and lifestyles causing depression, being duped by modern mantras and management fads,
“failing” at being well or failing to consider life options,
AI ethics, corporate misuse of mindfulness as
a distraction from working conditions, embedded emissions, plane pollution, bigger, flashier homes/cars– which means
actively abusing the environment and society’s cohesion and contributing to financialisation,
the need for agroforestry,
the accursed “new is always good” groupthink of the computer world, abuse of workers by insisting on busy-ness,
raising Prince Boofheads):
on climate change (our World War III?) and other environmental matters this week:
- decades of garbage dumped by litterers have been spewed out by an intermittent geyser; a critique of company failures on deforestation; African sheep are improving drought resilience in my nation; advice to perform a full environmental assessment on a controversial coal mine was ignored; the pharmaceuticals and other substances of concern being ingested by platypuses; claims of evidence that small businesses in China are responsible for the recent rise in banned gases depleting the ozone layer and contributing to climate change; the effect of neonicotinoids on bees; increasing water prices are affecting agriculture; “a new index, developed by the insurance industry but backed by the Bureau of Meteorology and the CSIRO, tracks [climate change risk factors” – and will affect insurance premiums; anger over alleged failures “to contain or prepare for [deliberately lit] bushfires that have raged through the region for weeks” may lead to legal action; a supermarket chain in Finland “repair electrical goods, upcycle some items with their own brand label, and they even have a digital personal shopper – a smart app which predicts the items you’ll want based on previous purchases”;
- other environmental matters have occurred in: India;
on technology and science matters this week:
- compensation may be offered after a protracted phone service outage (which also allowed a violent parolee to go on the run); another article on the pros and cons of making painful personal announcements on social media;
on economic and financial matters:
- the appalling adulteration of food in the late 19th century in the USA, and brave experiments needed to overcome business pressures and stop that; cat tourism; the problem of rip offs and damage caused by excessively high power voltages;
on health and medical this week:
- gender differences on anxiety; the impact of fighting for funding on patients; an examination of the balance between conscientious objection and equal access for patients to assisted dying; painkillers are being (mis)used to “ease emotional, rather than physical, pain” . . . ; a criticism of diet fads in the context of evolution; a sleep survey (if it doesn’t include insecure work and low wages, it will miss the biggest problems); a new intergenerational home, one part , one part for people of any ages, will challenge “care services built around age segregation and aims to better unite aged care residents with the community”; - With regard to press aka the
media, and freedom of expression (claims
of presenting “both sides” of a debate can be WRONG if the other side is RUBBISH –as is the case
on LGBTIQ issues. Also, media can be unprofessional, but funding is an issue … ):
- Turkey (which has shared the audio of the murder of a Saudi born journalist it is ironically investigating with the USA [reports claim his remains were dissolved and disposed down the sewer . . . I’m not convinced of that – bones also?]) jails more journalists than China;
- other media / freedom of expression matters have occurred in: USA, Hong Kong; - With regard to crime, judicial
matters and policing (noting that an
uncle of mine resigned when corruption was not comprehensively cleaned out of
the police force he served in, I also have high expectations of police [to
match their powers], and consider
all violence, abuse of power and failure to understand the impacts of their
actions [e.g., see here and here] by police – who are under incredible
pressure –is, nevertheless, undermining
and weakening all police and what they are trying to achieve):
- although this alleged murderer may have been possessed, he is still liable for making himself vulnerable to that (through drug use . . . this is also why people need to know about psychic protection – there is a spiritual perspective along the lines of ignorance not being an excuse); a huge drug bust in one Australian city;
- other crime, judicial and policing matters have occurred in: India.
Location based News:
- With regard to Africa, the Africa
Center for Strategic Studies (and other sources) has:
on Africa generally:
- an assessment of why so many dictators in Africa recently resigned suggests the Arab Spring was a major factor;
on specific African nations:
- Burundi has refused to register a key opposition party;
- about 80 children have been kidnapped from a school in Cameroon (and, I understand, subsequently released for the school’s Principal as hostage);
- a mass grave has been found in Ethiopia (probably of Da’esh victims];
- “two young men were fatally shot amid continuing political unrest following the disputed results [in Guinea’s] first municipal elections in 13 years”;
- a Libyan rebel leader has visited Russia;

- a bank robbery has led to “a furious political storm, revealing how deeply corruption is now entrenched in local government and beyond, and showing how hard it may be . . . to root out the graft and mismanagement that flourished under . . . Jacob Zuma”;
- “the IGAD Council of Ministers will hold a meeting on South Sudan this month as the peace deal falls further behind schedule”;
- a review of Tanzania’s President, once promising, now authoritarian;
- a political “stand-off” in Tunisia has eased; - With regard to mainland China (may her
growing middle class bring a love of peace and freedom), East and South East Asia and the Pacific (and noting
the risks of atrocities in North Korea and burma):
on increasingly totalitarian mainland China, and also Hong Kong, the DPRK (North Korea) and South Korea (which need to accept their partition – for now – and sign a peace treaty), Taiwan, and the free but invaded and occupied nation of Tibet:
- another article on totalitarian China’s use of “gait recognition”; China is trying to comply better with copyright laws; a concerning (and moronic to the extent of raising questions about the parents fitness to be parents) 15 page CV for a five year old . . . ; “workers at a Chinese home renovation company who failed to complete their tasks had to drink urine, eat cockroaches or get whipped by a belt”;
- “South Korea has apologised for the rape of women [17 cases, including against teenagers and a pregnant woman, were recently confirmed] by troops sent to crush an anti-government protest 38 years ago”, but some victims want more;
- an “Australian [artist’s] . . . Hong Kong show [has been] cancelled after 'threats' from China”;
elsewhere in Asia:
- as the recent medical scandal highlights the broader problem of sexism, a three decade peak in suicide rates of young people in Japan has caused concern;
- the wife of a despotic former Philippines has been convicted of corruption;
and in the Pacific:
- New Caledonia has voted against independence, but the vote was close and social divisions are apparent; - With regard to Europe and the European Union (EU) (which need
to step up, as the USA steps down):
- “France . . . and [the USA have] agreed . . . on the need for Europe to bear more of the burden for defence”; - With regard to South Asia (aka
the Indian
sub-continent), The Hindu and other sources
have:
on India:
- a toddler has been raped in a hospital . . . ; more smog in India’s capital; police violence;
on Pakistan:
- “the lawyer for a Christian woman acquitted [and “released” to protective custody] of blasphemy charges . . . has fled the country, fearing for his safety” - and her husband has appealed for asylum for his family in the USA; - With regard
to West Asia (aka “the Middle East”) and Northern
Africa, the Middle East Eye, the Times
of Israel, and other sources have:
- a “comprehensive overview of arms transfer- and SALW control-related assistance activities” in West Asia;
on Israel and Palestine:
- “Gaza's protests show the power of the people to make the world listen”; “Israel and Qatar have reportedly agreed to establish a sea crossing between Cyprus and the Gaza Strip as part of Egyptian-mediated talks”; Qatar is providing funds to Gaza;
- other violent incidents this week include: here;
on the conflict and the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis in Yemen:
- fighting has “escalated dramatically over the past week”; the USA has stopped refuelling Saudi-led coalition warplanes; a call by a Yemeni woman for “a sustainable ceasefire and solution that meets Yemenis' aspirations”; more information on the Yemeni famine, as the war’s death toll passes 100,000;
on Syria (where the Assad Dictatorship has lost all pretence of legitimacy, and partition is needed):
- 26 family members of violent extremists were killed by a US-led coalition air strike, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights;
elsewhere in the region:
- Iran will defy US sanctions;
- other Saudi abductions and assassinations;
- “Turkey's mastery of ‘soft power’ ”;
Other News:
- cloud waves;
- Diwali in Australia.
General Comments/Information
(Dear Reader, please remember, I expect you
to THINK when reading this blog, and I reserve the right to
occasionally sneak in something to test
that)
Many
others are very capably doing this type of work – for instance, the Lucis Trust's Triangles network (which has been running for many decades);
the Correllian Tradition's
'Spiritual War for Peace'
(see also here,
here,
and here), the Hope, Peace, Love and Prosperity Spell
(also from the Correllian Tradition, in around 2007 or 2008), the
Healing Minute started by the
late, great Harry
Edwards (running for decades);
the “CE 5 ET
contact” movement started by Dr Steven
M Greer, which is the one which
appears to me to most capitalise on the teachings of “The Nine”, the “Network of Light” meditations; the 1 Million Meditators
movement, and also see here, here and here –
even commercial organisations (for instance, see here), online groups (e.g. here
and here
– which I do not know the quality of)
and even an app.
Thus, if you don't like
what I am suggesting here, but want to be of service, there are many other
opportunities for you – including secular opportunities: e.g., see here,
here and here.
Again, activism in the physical world is also required - see here,
here
and here,
here, and,
of course, here.
(I specifically have a role for (absent) healers on Saturdays [see Psychic
Weather Report]. Anyone who wishes to be protector has a role every day :). At
all times, on all levels and in ways, BOTH must ALWAYS be BPM in the way they perform such roles.)
If I am ever late getting
