One of the tools for gaining the attention of an earthbound entity is manipulating the "world" they are focused on. The earthbound entity generally thinks they are perceiving physical reality as they used to know it: if it suddenly does something unexpected, or even impossible, they are startled, and that "startlement", to coin a word, is an opening for the rescuer - it is a little like tapping a person on the shoulder.
As an example, one of the rescues I was a part of during my training involved an entire battle that was being fought in the lower astral. Those taking part had died in an actual battle many years before, and were continuing it, complete with weapons and battle scenes. With the help of our BPLF [1] Guides, we changed their weapons to bunches of flowers.
Startlement much?
As they directed their attention around them, mentally asking each other and, inadvertently, us, "What happened?", we were able to get their attention enough to explain, and then get them to pass over - which also nicely tidied up a little problem situation that had been adversely impacting the physical world, by contributing to nonBPLF aggression.
Well, actually, it worked for most of them: some wanted to keep fighting, with their hands or even trying to hit their enemy with the bunches of flowers (I kid you not). For those, we went a little further and, again, with the our BPLF Guides, performed another change: this time of them, from a male body to a female.
That got their attention enough for them to stop fighting and be rescued.
Another example that comes to mind is a mass rescue I once did on a train. I became aware that there were a few earthbound entities around, and, again, with the help of my BPLF Guides, created the astral image of a train station, with a train at the adjoining platform. I mentally created an announcement that all were to change trains, and the earthbound entities, good commuters all, all obediently trooped over to the astral creation. Once there, the Guides were able to comment about why the train was so empty on a work day (a bit like the time I went to work on a public holiday in the 80s, after I came back to Melbourne, not realising that the day was a local public holiday), change their own appearance, etc, and gain the attention of the entities and thus effect * a rescue.
The whole effect is a little like converting a waking day into a dream.
