While I am in Bris-Vegas for Dad, I'm doing more reading of Katharine Kerr's Deverry books, and "The Gold Falcon" has some excellent descriptions of the challenges and values of lucid dreaming (Joan Grant's "Winged Pharaoh" is another useful source on this).
