I saw a documentary (released in 2012, directed by Jacqui and
David Morris) last week on the life and work of photographer Don
McCullin: it was graphic, harrowing, and very effective in conveying his anti-war,
and anti-violence “message”. I can’t find an online link for it (I saw it via Netflix), but it left me
thinking about the profound irrationality and amathia of those involved in extreme violence, which
reminded me of this
article last week, and I found myself contemplating the problem of how to
address the problem of profound irrationality.
I’ve started an article (for
another website) on a few unconsidered aspects of discrimination (such as the fact that I claim to right to
judge those who judge or condemn or discriminate against me – whether
consciously or unconsciously [e.g., are they amathiac, malicious, misled sheep,
insecure, in denial, etc], and, inescapably, those people are revealing something
unsavoury about themselves – even if it is that they are not up to date with
knowledge/laws/etc … and I am going to reject the sugar coated euphemism of
“discrimination affects mental health”, which some bigots interpret as meaning
the problem is a weakness on the part of the victims of discrimination, with
the unvarnished truth – e.g., misgendering trans people, which is always a
vicious, malicious and highly personal form of violence, is so directly responsible for
suicides that it should be considered a form of attempted murder); the
article begins by mentioning that there are people who still, nearly five
centuries after the circumnavigation organised by Ferdinand Magellan, and just
over five decades after humans went into space, people who believe the earth is
flat, which will lead later into the fact that you cannot change the minds of
everyone, no matter how powerful or correct you are.
In fact, I recently read a quote along the lines of It's hard to win an
argument with a smart person but near impossible to win an argument with an
amathiac person (based on, I think, a quote
by William G. McAdoo, “It
is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in argument”; this often seems to be
credited to Mark Twain, but Twain said something slightly different), which is useful
reminder of this. Be that as it may, however, I’ve found education and talking
will enable changes to most bigots – and the gradually changing attitudes
towards LGBTQIASB+ people are evidence of that, but (and the persistence of racism, sexism and other forms of bigotry
illustrate this point) not everyone will be changed – which is why the
great Dr
Martin Luther King, Jr., said
“the law cannot change the heart but it
can restrain the heartless”.
This is important: it, combined with:
- having met people who do not need
the education in order to, for instance, treat trans people with respect and
basic manners; and
- cisgendered people with problems such as deep voices;
is why some trans people do not try to
“pass” (there are other reasons such as challenging
stereotypes, but also many try to pass in order to prevent themselves being
bashed or killed), but it also shows that it is important not to base your
advocacy or psychic work for the BPLF on an outcome of getting everyone to be better human beings.
Trying to do so will lead to imbalance in you, and thus health problems –
maybe even emotional or mental problems. Change those who can, and (BPM) “restrain the heartless”.
The next point to consider is how to bring those who are unbalanced, profoundly irrational, or amathiac back to a state of balance. In some cases, that won’t happen until their next life, which makes the matter the responsibility of that person's Higher Self, not someone else. Of those who
can be brought back, some must be BPM restrained first and foremost, others
will only respond to treatment from those who they are physically with, or from
people they respect – often meaning people who have been through the same
experience (that latter category can
include discarnates), but there are some we can help from a distance, by
clearing – as is for the Highest
Spiritual Good - nonBPM units, and – with acceptance of their right
to use their free will to reject it – by sending BPLF healing. I may try to
write a post about this sort of work at some stage …
Another point here is that exposure to extreme violence, or the threat
of extreme violence can and often does lead to major problems. According to the
Ken
Burns TV series “The War”, the US Army figured
soldiers would be utterly broken after 240 days of combat. I’ve posted other links
along this line, or about the changes that can happen (e.g., to here), but there are children in places like Syria who have known
nothing but war in their lives. The war in Yemen started in March this year:
five months ago … in another three months, will problems of the type I am discussing start to affect its
conduct and negotiations even more?

[3] I apologise for the formatting: it seems Blogger is
no longer as WYSIWYG as it used to be, and there are a lot of unwanted
changes to layout made upon publishing, so I often have to edit it immediately
after publishing to get the format as close to what I want as possible.

My "blogiography" (list of all posts and guide as to how to best use this
site) is here, and my glossary/index is here.
I started this blog to cover karmic regression-rescue
(see here and here), and it grew ... See here for my group mind project, here and here for my "Pagans for Peace" project (and join me
for a few minutes at some time between 8 and 11 PM on Sunday, wherever you are,
to meditate-clear for peace), and here
for my bindrune kit-bag. I also strongly recommend
learning how to flame, ground
and shield, do alternate
nostril breathing, work
with colour, and see also here and be
flexible.
- Neither eloquence nor inarticulateness inherently indicates correctness,
but, as words can kill, the right to freedom of speech comes with a DUTY to be
as well-informed, objective and balanced as you can be.
- Gnwmythr's Stropping Strap: Occam's Razor only works if the simplest solution is actually recognised
as being the simplest, rather than the one that best fits one's bigotries being
labelled 'simplest'.
- I mourn the desecration of the term 'Light Worker' by commercial
interests, and the warping of the word 'Light' away from 'Clear Light' by the
"(Fluffy) White Lighters".
- Presuming that everyone has, or wants, a smartphone is discriminatory, unspiritual, and downright amathiac.
- Obsessive love may be a cover up of guilt.
- Proxy
embarrassment is both a form of control,
and an internal barrier to truth, honesty and perspicacity.
- Our entire life experience, with all the many wondrous and varied
people, places and events in it, is too small a sample for statistical
reliability about Life.
- Notwithstanding the greatness of exploring the world and humanity, the
greatest exploration is of mind, spirit and Soul.
- May the world of commerce and business be recognised to be a servant,
not a master, of the lives of people.
- Life is not a struggle for status.
- Being accustomed to interacting via certain rules makes those rules
neither right nor universal.
- Like fire to the physical, emotions to the soul make a good servant, and
a bad master.
- The means shape the end.
- My favourite action movie of all time is "Gandhi", although I've recently come across "Invictus"
and might put that one in to that category.
However, I loathe the stereotypical action movie - and, for similar reasons, I
loathe many dramas, which are often emotionally violent, more so in some cases than many war films.
- All of the above - and this blog - could be wrong, or subject to
context, perspective, or state of spiritual evolution ... and blogging has been
described as graffiti with punctuation :)
Human dignity is
the inherently cumulative holistic
combination of human rights, wellbeing and potential, and all actions or
interaction which promote, realise or facilitate same. The converse also
applies: whatever degrades, diminishes or robs humans of dignity, is inherently
undignified.

The “purpose” of spiritual evolution is not
the attainment of “spiritual perfection” - not in the sense of not having to
evolve further, at any rate, since there is no such thing. We need to evolve in
order to grow - but we can take rest breaks (hopefully well earned :) ) along the way. No, the “purpose” of evolution is,
rather, to perfect our ability to learn, and thus grow.

Martin Luther King, Jr.
Females, get over 'cute'. Get competent.
Get trained. Get capable. Get over 'cute'. And those of you who are called
Patty and Debby and Suzy, get over that. Because we use those names to
infantalise females – we keep females in their 'little girl' state by the names
we use for them. Get over it. If you want to be taken seriously, get serious.

There are risks and costs to a program of
action. But they are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable
inaction.

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk
& accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor
comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
