Post No. 1,311 - post-reading thoughts . . .

One of the links in my previous post on reading was Learning to Trust Your Experiences.

Well, one of the lessons I have had recently on that is believing in the work I accomplish through my online candles. I cannot go into the details too much, but I am now convinced that when I post those candles, situations in the physical world are better when I do that - I've missed quite a few in the last fortnight, as a result of exhaustion, ill-health and the need to focus elsewhere in my life, and now I know just how effective they actually can be.

Encouraging, but also a little scary to think one person can have such influence - which is not the first time I have been unsettled by the reality of such influence, and that's probably a good thing. (Oh, for a life as an apple farmer . . . or a writer . . . or a sailor . . . or any of the others  I mis-perceive as being simpler and less stressful :) )

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
