Contrary to the limited understanding of Western psychology, meditation is for far more than promoting the ability to continue being an economic cog in servitude to the neoliberal version of capitalism (which is generally hidden under the euphemism “mental health”).
Those additional purposes include things like generating Metta / Maitrī (loving-kindness), Karuṇā (compassion), Muditā (appreciative joy), and Uppekha / Upekṣā (equanimity).
Actively generating and projecting BPM energy is a key part of the PWRs.
Now, I use a few tools to improve my ability to do that, such as breathing exercises (that work for me, but not for others), and also listening to upbeat music beforehand.
I have now stumbled on an adaptation that also seems to be working for me - which does not of course, mean it will necessarily work for others:
playing upbeat music WHILE meditating to generate and project BPM energy
Now, I have considerable practice at working in less than ideal situations, which is possibly why I can do this, but it raises at least the possibility that there may be ways for others to boost their ability to more strongly generate and project BPM energy, and that is something the world desperately needs now.
So ... perhaps food for thought?

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).Copyright © Kayleen White 2007-2024 NO AI
