One of the things I was taught some years ago was a modified version of
this, considered by my teacher at the time to be an Egyptian version of the
LBRP. Now, as far as I know, the Ancient Egyptians did not use anything similar to this – for all I know they may have,
but I consider that if they had, some evidence of it would have been found by
now and proudly claimed by someone or another. So … my view is that this a
modern creation, an example of that Unverified Personal Gnosis (UPG) that some
people don’t like – and perhaps it is, or perhaps it is cultural appropriation
or blending that some people don’t like
(particularly purists). I consider that some of it comes from Israel
Regardie’s work – the structure and the thinking certainly seems Hermetic to
me, so I tend to view it as a translation of the LBRP into another language.
However, I do know
that I find this extraordinarily effective at raising magickal energy for me.
One thing I haven’t chased through, though, is what changes to make in
this for the Southern Hemisphere. The elements and the directions are not
correct for us …
So, for better or worse, here ‘tis.

but I do not find this necessary.

beam of bright light coming down from above, and passing through the vertical
axis of your body, followed by a great beam of bright light from the side (I generally use the right
side as the source)
