Post No. 723 - Pagan Critiques of the Pope's "Encyclical" on the Environment

There is a very good review of Pagan views on the Catholic Church's Pope Francis's "encyclical" on the environment in this Wild Hunt  article. It seems that, despite a few flaws, and the questionable credibility of the Catholic Church on this and other issues (I place most of the Catholic Church's hierarchy - and many of its adherents / followers - into the category of neochristian), there is considerable hope that it may lead to some significant changes.

I see that the Pagan Community Statement on the Environment has reached 6,472 signatures. That is a great effort, but it is a shame it wasn't able to get to the target of 10,000 by the target date. On a personal note, I'm extremely disappointed no-one I know appears to have signed it ...

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
