One of the dangers of the field I am blogging in - a danger I have been warned about by the books of Dion Fortune and the controversial Lobsang Rampa when I was a teenager - is the risks of the "mentally unstable" / "mental instability".
This does not actually mean mental illness: it reflects a bias from not-so-long past times when character flaws were misattributed to "mental deficiency".
They're not: they're character flaws, and possibly moral deficiencies, rather than what we now know is mental illness or lack of mental wellbeing, but they can be more of a problem in this field than they should.
This is one of the reasons I appreciate the strictly BPM-energy focused CE-5 movement and the generally sober, scientific, and level headed approach of people like Whitley Strieber, Robert Hastings, & Donald Keyhoe, respect the generally good scientific-statistical work of people like Lynne McTaggert and the sound reporting of Miguel Mendonça and (generally) Mr Grant Cameron, and favour consciousness-based or methodical approaches that also respect other vital areas of human existence - such as human rights.
(None of this is about escaping to a higher state of being and leaving a mess behind - that is a coward's way out: we need to learn how to work together to make the world a better place.)
And that is why I am furious at those grossly irresponsible people who downplay the existence and reality of the pandemic, or who now are trying to claim there is some sort of UFO justification for the megalomaniacal actions of the utterly evil and corrupt Putin.
It is so tempting to write a pejorative about their sanity, but that lets them off the hook: they are abusing their influence to actively cause harm and promote evil - perhaps unknowingly, but, in any case, their actions mark them as evildoers, and they have gone way beyond any form of eccentricity to being morally culpable for aiding and abetting evil.
Putin is evil - a modern day hitler (I won't say he is lesser than hitler until we know whether or not Putin will cause a nuclear war).
There is NO justification for what he has done and is doing, which is killing people and destroying a (admittedly flawed) nation which is attempting to be democratic.
