Post No. 2,728 - Working with chakras (and other psychic skills): an analogy

Something I come across fairly often is people being concerned about, for example, working with chakras on the grounds that they think it is ... almost like learning to drive a car - a skill built around something completely separate to their being.

However, that is not true: chakras are a part of our being - they do energetic work as part of our existence much as our liver automatically does work that we are not aware of.

Another, more pertinent example is our breathing: that is also largely autonomous (automatic) ... but we can learn to work with it - for things like exercise, aiding meditation, directing psychic work, managing pain, etc.

Chakras are no different: their function is largely automatic, and all “learning to work with chakras” means is learning to do some things on top of what they automatically do.

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
