• Further to last week’s news item   “US not hiding aliens or UFO technology from the public, Pentagon says”   https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/mar/08/pentagon-ufo-report-hiding-aliens   It is possible to keep major secrets for quite some time - consider, for example, the secrecy around World War(part) Two plans for D-Day and the Manhattan Project, but to do so for 70 years is questionable - as examples of the challenges, consider  the  long  history  of whistleblowers, including military whistleblowers on UFO/UAP matters as noted in the previous dot point, and the discovery/exposure of Contragate, Watergate, and the Pentagon Papers,  so I am inclined to agree with this, while noting that (a) it is a separate matter to sightings, CE-5 contact, etc, (b) secrecy efforts increase for more significant matters, and (c) some whistleblowers to date on this topic have been compelling and seem credible/genuine - but claims of hidden advanced technology and the reliance on extraterrestrials as a source of technology seem to have too much of a self-deprecatory bias that humans could not come of with stealth technology, etc
