Post No. 1,201 - Not Gnwmythr's News

A few links to what may be interesting reading:
  • with a qualification that I am basing this on a talk by the author, not the result of reading it, a book on the "mind magicians" around the USA's 45th President. Now, some of this appears to be just "positive thinking", and most of it appears to be in the neo-nazi (aka "alt right" movement), but it is a mainstream(-ish) sort of book touching on psychic aspects of that Presidency.
One of the things this brings to mind is the issue of who wants to win most. There's probably a Sun-Tzu quote, but, frankly, I can't be bothered trying to find a fancy phrase for something that is so obvious.
The results - in the sense of "who wins" - of physical wars depends on a range of factors, including morale / determination: how much more so is the case for a war that is fought in the non-physical realms, including the realms of emotion and thought?
Persist in your BPM actions - don't give up, and adapt intelligently to the changes made by the nonBPM.
  • And on the nonBPM, another thoughtful article from John Beckett on the role of journalism in religious movements. I concur with this article - in part because of I support trans rights and the cisgendered reactionary people who are actively trying to kill (in my opinion) trans people are both wrong and on the wrong side of history, and in part because some specialised niches of journalism strike me as ineffective - something I particularly see with an email newsletter put out by an industry body in the field my day job is in.
  • another John Beckett article on finding your spiritual path later in life.
