Post No. 2,346 - Reading and other links [Note: Content Warning for news links - reader discretion is advised]

Im going to begin this with a reminder that the work of this blog is:

and

  • BPM  strengthening of BPM units - some nonphysical, some incarnated people . . . and one of, if not the, best ways that is done is strengthening people's connection with their own Higher Self (which is possibly not what they interpret as their conscience).

Also:

Black Lives Matter! Be Anti-Racist, Anti-Sexist, and Actively Inclusive in ALL Areas.
The Climate Crisis is real, urgent and
existential!

The Pandemic is Real, and Vaccinations save lives. Stay safe - wash your hands, wear a face mask in public if prudent to do so, and follow informed medical advice.

We also need to be more human being rather than human doing.

Having made those points, here are some links that you, Dear Reader, may find of interest or value (articles by others unless stated otherwise)

In preparation for tomorrows psychic weather report, I do a weekly summary of news links - every one of which is an opportunity to do the work of this blog, which I outlined at the start of this post. That can be accessed at:

One part of the post covers natural and other disasters, which are always an excellent opportunity to do the work of this blog, so I will copy that section here:

  • on NATURAL and OTHER DISASTERS (noting Article 1(3) of the UN Charter)
    • two helicopters collided in Australia (TG);   a crowd crush in my home city (TG);   another "bomb cyclone" in the USA (F24);      record (TG) flooding in the Kimberley region (TG) of WA (TND) - road trains will be allowed to transport in aid (TND), which is needed urgently (NIT), and “Kimberley locals team up to rescue 'living treasure' Ngurrara Canvas artwork” (NIT);   several drownings at beaches in Australia (which, for those in the northern hemisphere who need to be told this, is experiencing summer) (TG);   an appeal to the Security Council to extend a deal guaranteeing cross-border aid access to northwest Syria, that’s due to expire in eight days (UN);

Another part lists a few key points from the news, which are also an excellent opportunity to do the work of this blog, so I will also copy that section here:

  • an examination of the possibility of human extinction (YT);   staying safe in other animals worlds (TC);   number of populist world leaders at 20-year low” (TG), which is good as they cant govern (TG), and the massive threat they have created to governance in the USA is an example of their self (CNN) destructiveness (TG);   why repressive regimes jailing opponents often doesn't work (PVG);   an opinion that the cause of the USAs mental health crises is white patriarchy (which I consider applies to other nations as well, to varying extents) (M);   the problem of overconsumption (TC);   a social media site that has been changed to allow hate speech on the basis of its owners perceptions of (US) law limits may run foul of more restrictive French laws (LFB);   noise pollution (TG);   an opinion on why millennials are not becoming more conservative with age (I consider this only part of the story: there has also been effective advocacy for increased and more genuine caring - and this trend is not unique to the generation examined: officially I am supposed to be a boomer, but have NEVER felt comfortable with the values my generation is supposed to espouse - and I have become more radical as I age) (TG);   “please don’t rehab Pope Benedict. God’s Rottweiler pushed cruelty (M);   “we can’t let them continue to say “traditional values” instead of “hate”” (M);   several US states have passed anti-homeless laws (TG);   displaced Tigrayans fear return over what Ethiopia/Tigray may become (TG);   from a Matt Hodges on Mastodon: “"what are we going to do about job applicants using AIs to misrepresent their abilities?" is an interesting question. And, "What human-hostile processes are we about to invent to force people prove they are, in fact, people?" is an even more interesting question”;   “a simple thought experiment can tell if Black Lives really matter to you” (M);
I generally do the PWRs on Sunday in Australia, with an aim to get it online by 8pm on the Australian east coast - which, in the southern winter, is midday in Geneva, 11am in London, 6am in New York, and 3am on the US west coast.
