Post No. 2,352 - the ET/UFO/UAP field

PS - This post was first done in January, 2023; this postscript is being written in October, 2024. 

I now do not actively follow any of the people I did previously: concerns over racism in the form of minimising racism, changes of direction those people made that were of little to no interest/relevance to me, and changes of focus in my own life have all led to me focusing elsewhere in my life. 

I am starting to explore channels/people, and consider the UAP Podcast Files interesting - particularly for its inclusion of interviews and material from the non-English speaking parts of the world (including having a translator as part of the videos). Other channels have also done this, but not as much nor, in my opinion, as well. 

I’m still working through that channel’s back catalogue, but this interview was a good example of what I am referring to. I am also looking forward to this interview with Sixto Paz Wells - who, along with Jacques Vallée and Ardy Sixkiller Clarke - is an excellent example of the quality of Ufologists outside the English speaking/English-derived-culture world.

I am still doing my CE-5 type work, but more generally, without it being tied to formal phases of the moon. 

PPS - I have added a few news/internet links that are worth considering - or being aware of (I don’t necessarily agree with the articles/all of each article) - as a new end section of this post - and will add more if I consider them worthwhile. 

PPPS - As of November 2024 I have to additionally comment that the ET/UFO/UAP field attracts more than its fair share of people who are referred to with derisive epithets. A US hearing included testimony from a climate change denying transphobe for instance (which shows a MAJOR flaw of thinking & character that renders that person lacking in credibility), and others recently have tried to claim that they are not taking political sides by trying to be what they consider “neutral”, whereas that places them firmly on the side of the right wing anti-human rights bigots as their deliberate choice of what they perceive as inaction actively allows the perpetuation of white supremacism, misogyny, and other forms of hate. 

You CANNOT be part of a consciousness raising set of contacts without being progressive politically.

Let me begin this by pointing out that we live in an imperfect world: as I’ve read it described, if you’re alive, you’re imperfect. 

On top of that, normal human variation in perspectives means it is probably inevitable that, at times, you will come across a passionate, well argued, plausible view on a topic that is directly contradicted by another passionate, well argued, plausible view on that same topic. When that happens, you will have to accept personal responsibility and make a decision - even if that decision is “I need more data so will do more research” (which is often a good decision). 

On top of that, views, positions, and circumstances will change, and thus you may well need to re-evaluate your position from time to time. 

So ... I have great respect for Whitley Strieber - his  books on evidence, the afterlife, and the fundamental importance of consciousness are outstanding. On top of that, he has a website which can have very interesting material on it, including a generally weekly podcast. When I started listening to that podcast a few years ago, I found it quite good, except for the interviews with guests who have destroyed their credibility, in my view, by dangerous, irresponsible and, frankly, conspiracy fantasies about the very real COVID pandemic (or, as bad, if not worse, supporting the evil despot Putin) - none of which applies to Whitley Strieber. 

However, yesterday’s interview with people claiming that the greys are all forms of artificial intelligence (AI) who are “trying to capture our souls” was disappointing, inaccurate rubbish. 

For a start, I’ve been working in the area of spirit rescue for four decades,and I know that the soul capture theory Whitley’s guests posit is just not true. 

I also know that not all of the greys are forms of AI, and that view gets dangerously close to, or is, xenophobic based on discomfort with difference - which is something I have criticised the ET/UFO/UAP field for previously. 

As a direct counter to that, also yesterday I came across Paul & SyAnn  Hamden, who portray Zetas in a positive light, but not all greys. 

That sort of nuance is something that crops up with others I respect - even if with qualifications - in this field.
