Post No. 2,758 – Urgent addition to PWR No. 0385 : A Shift in Required Focus in West Asia

Further to my post “Post No. 2,755 - An opportunity to do the work of this blog now for Gaza”   https://gnwmythr.blogspot.com/2024/04/post-no-2755-opportunity-to-do-work-of.html   , on the need for urgent work to moderate / prevent Iran’s response to Israel’s (unacknowledged) attack on the Iranian Embassy in Syria, there is an urgent need now for a shift in the focus of such work - but also an urgent need for that work. 

Iran has committed a direct attack against Israel from its own soil for the first time, but with limited military effect. 

It seems the only death so far is a Bedouin child - a young girl from a group that is generally ignored/overlooked and abused by many others in that region. Her death is a tragedy, and should not be forgotten or downplayed. 

However, if Israel overreacts, there could be many more such deaths throughout the region. 

The urgent focus now is for the key Israeli decision makers to remember that Israeli lives are also going to be at risk if they escalate matters - leaving the response to the world is a better option for the long term.
