While I have not looked at the news which came in overnight, from the news so far this week, there is still work to do in West Asia if the ceasefire is to (a) hold, and then (b) expand to peace (of any form).

The ceasefire is holding with actions occurring - often to joy, with Israel's PM "trapped" between the USA's AIC (who wants this to lead to regional peace, albeit in a somewhat naïve and clueless way) and his government's far right, but there are issues to address, including: the absence of democracy ("colonisation, 2025 style"), nothing about who will pay to rebuild Gaza, continuing threats to existence - protests are continuing together with calls for boycotts to lead to action and tech companies to withdraw support for Israel, silencing of pro-Palestinian movements (including misreporting anti-Palestinian actions as antisemitism!!!), the need for free journalistic access to Gaza, and “H___s deploys armed fighters and police across parts of Gaza Group targets ‘collaborators and traitors’ in move that raises concerns for disarmament considered crucial to ceasefire deal”.
Hope, valid thought it may be, is not cause to cease working.
