I just watched something which nudged me to remind everyone that
- we are responsible for ourselves and our impact on people AND THE ENVIRONMENT, which, in this reality, includes our society and this planet;
- some of the suffering we see is a test of us, to see if we care enough to act - and to act not only on the immediately obvious situation, but also the systemic problems that often caused the suffering.
Examples of the second point include:
- undoing the harm caused by historical violent European colonisation;
- reversing the harm being done by petro-masculinity and everything else that is causing/exacerbating/maintaining (by fighting action to address it) the climate crisis; and
- anti-racism and anti-other forms of bigotry, and just stopping active harm is not enough to heal and reverse the harm done until now. Being born into a group that has done harm in the past is a test, just as being born into wealth or groups that are not disadvantaged is a test of what we will do with that social privilege - and the individual skills and abilities we have are also tests: what are we going to with our potential?
Those who look at mass harm and smugly talk about choices made before incarnation are:
- anti-human, including antiwisdom and anti-love;
- cruel - which is, perhaps, the OPPOSITE of kind.
And is an acceptance of those responsibilities for us to watch properly reported (not distorted by right wing hate or selfish perspectives) news to the extent that we can without being overwhelmed (better emotional competence will help with that), and then do what we can - even if we are "just" one snowflake in an avalanche, maybe one of the first, in what is - at that time - a tiny avalanche ...
Possible flaws
Where I can, I will try to highlight possible flaws / issues you should consider:
- there may be flawed logical arguments in the above: to find out more about such flaws and thinking generally, I recommend Brendan Myers’ free online course “Clear and Present Thinking”;
- I could be wrong - so keep your thinking caps on, and make up your own minds for yourself.

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
#PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM because #KindnessIsThePoint
