Post No. 3,471 - Some (hopefully) interesting reading / viewing / listening - Saturday, 13th June, 2026

I recently found the following interesting and/or useful, and am posting them here in case anyone else does as well.

The topic of disclosure has been prominent of late, largely because of Steven  Spielberg’s latest movie  Disclosure  Day, with articles including:

  • “Meredith Spearman and the Maze to Metanoia”   https://mikeclellandowls.substack.com/p/meredith-spearman-and-the-maze-to   “We are confronted with initiation   ...   In December of last year, five short months ago, a Substack appeared, and it made quite a splash. It’s titled Maze to Metanoia, and it’s authored by a shining new voice in this field—Meredith Spearman.”   This was an excellent interview and conversation
  • “Daimons & The Architecture of Contact (Pt III)”   https://mazetometanoia.substack.com/p/daimons-and-the-architecture-of-contact-7eb   “The Map   This is Part Three of a three-part series. What follows is legible on its own terms. The taxonomy is complete here, and the map is the map, but Parts One and Two built the foundation this essay stands on” (links to and précis of earlier parts provided in the article)
  • From Whitley Strieber’s “Unknown Country” news page:   ““If This Is My Final Duty of Public Service”: Grusch Joins New Disclosure Appeal - WHITLEY STRIEBER'S UNKNOWN COUNTRY”   https://unknowncountry.com/headline-news/if-this-is-my-final-duty-of-public-service-grusch-joins-new-disclosure-appeal/   This report includes a link (https://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/SearchNRetrieve/Interface/ViewImage.aspx?B=30030606&S=7&R=0) to an Australian UFO document which covers the period 1957 to 1971, with comments about   the disinterest of the RAAF (some assessments were utterly farcical),   the allocation of resources to other priorities,   and   (on download page 7):   “The CIA became alarmed at the overloading of military communications during the mass sightings of 1952 and considered the possibility that the USSR may take advantage of such a situation.” That, and the actions that followed from it (i.e., the “debunking” was to - apart from other reasons - keep military comms open) explains a fair bit to me (and I note the comments about some US actions/decisions being illogical - e.g., on download page 13: “The analysts could not find a way to reduce those odds sufficiently further to warrant additional testing, and irrationally considered the results to be “inconclusive”).   The data table (and discussion) on download page 12 showing that reports with better reliability also had a higher percentage classification as “unknown” is striking.   The comment on download page 8 that “It would appear wrong for Australia to remain ignorant of the true situation”, and the listed lack of resources, still applies here, IMO.   See also:

  • “The Gods Are Alive And Speaking”   https://www.patheos.com/blogs/johnbeckett/2026/06/the-gods-are-alive-and-speaking.html   “The loudest voices in our wider society scream that there is only one God and he stopped speaking two thousand years ago. And also, they and only they know exactly what this God wants. That’s another rant for another time.   The second loudest voices in our society scream that there are no Gods and that anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.   Meanwhile, those of us who have experienced one or more of the Many Gods know that they are alive and they are speaking. We need not – and should not – try to out-scream the others. ... We simply need to listen to our Gods, and to discern the best ways to embody their virtues and values in our lives.”
  • “Start Here”   https://substack.com/home/post/p-198328506   “This is a directory of all the posts I’ve written by category so they’re easy to browse. I will add everything I create to this page over time so it becomes a helpful reference.”   About ESP
  • “Astounding Flying Saucer Caught on Camera! | The Proof Is Out There (Season 4) | History - YouTube”   https://youtu.be/K-E-LfDgeEw   “In 1952, these historic UFO images were captured. See more in this scene from Season 4, Episode 18”
  • “Mediumship Spirits, and Drugs: More From The Ethical Psychic”   https://youtu.be/z_fiZs4CNe8   A good summary. The only thing I would add is that there are other reasons people can be earthbound - e.g., the young boy who found he was invisible and could do things like pull chairs out when people were about to sit down, or the woman who didn’t want to meet here murderer if she passed over.
  • “Consciousness & The Afterlife”   on the Our Paranormal Afterlife : Finding Proof of Life After Death podcast   https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/our-paranormal-afterlife-finding-proof-of-life-after-death/id1354455555?i=1000769457743   “This week I'm talking to Brendan Murphy about his book 'Reverse Engineering the Afterlife' Thousands of near-death experience accounts have been documented across five decades of clinical research. Esoteric traditions have described postmortem states for millennia. Depth psychology mapped archetypal transition imagery throughout the twentieth century. None of these bodies of work talk to each other. The result is a field fragmented by disciplinary silos, ideological commitments, and the assumption that symbolic content is equivalent to literal description. Materialists dismiss the data. Religionists literalise the imagery. New Age frameworks conflate symbol with destination. Reverse Engineering the Afterlife operates at the structural level, extracts the cross-tradition pattern, and builds a named explanatory model— the Consciousness Transition Model—that accounts for the data without requiring faith in any tradition's myth-language.”

On neurodivergence:

  • “What Face Blindness is Actually Like - YouTube”   https://youtu.be/Tcj-KIMp1VQ   “Another vlog about my personal experience with being face blind”   This is VERY well done
  • “Pain Reprocessing Therapy Has a Neurodivergent Problem — A Doctor Responds to Dr. Howard Schubiner”   https://youtu.be/XU2zurm2jrI   “Pain Reprocessing Therapy is changing lives — but it's failing a specific group of patients. As a physician who treats fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and hypermobile EDS, I need to talk about what Dr. Howard Schubiner’s new book gets right, and the critical gap it leaves for neurodivergent patients. In this video I respond directly to clips from Dr. Schubiner’s most recent interviews and show why the neuroplastic pain model — as well-researched as it is — was not built with autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent patients in mind. Using data from the 2026 BSMS study and Dr. Mark Lumley's research on alexithymia, I explain why standard Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and TMS protocols often produce small or no benefit for this population — and what a better framework looks like. Topics covered:    Why "most people with chronic pain" statistics systematically exclude neurodivergent patients   — The developmental architecture argument: why a neurodivergent nervous system isn't "trained into" pain the same way   — Alexithymia and why emotional processing therapies fail when the foundational skill is missing   — The Masking Tax: the hidden chronic stress load that standard PRT protocols never address   — What neurodivergent patients actually need from a pain treatment framework   This is not an attack on Dr. Schubiner or Pain Reprocessing Therapy. It is a call to expand the model.”

On society, governance, human rights, etc:

  • “Understanding socioeconomic diversity at work: Where to start”   https://drvictoriaverlezza.substack.com/p/understanding-socioeconomic-diversity   “Most conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion focus on race, gender, and sexuality, and rightfully so. But there’s another dimension of identity that quietly shapes workplace dynamics every single day, and it rarely gets the spotlight it deserves: socioeconomic status (SES).   This piece breaks down what socioeconomic diversity actually means, why it matters for your organization, and, most importantly, what you can do about it starting now”
  • “Research shows that individuals who challenge harmful group norms often face resistance, even when they are factually correct (Near & Miceli, 2016; Kennedy & Anderson, 2017).   Truth creates friction.   Not because it is false.   But because it interrupts what others have AGREED NOT TO SEE!   That is the cost of clarity.”   https://substack.com/@niyatikadakia/note/c-264319668
  • “Be thou not pilled”   https://www.joanwestenberg.com/be-thou-not-pilled/   “In 1841, Charles MacKay - a Scottish journalist - published a book about the way we lose our minds en masse.   ...   A few of the ideas Mackay catalogued were, genuinely stupid. But that wasn’t the point; the point was that people were quite easily captured anyway.   ...   We have a word for this now, thanks for the Wachowskis, and that word is pilled.”
  • “Trump is Weak. The Democrats are Weaker.”   https://barbarafwalter.substack.com/p/trump-is-weak-the-democrats-are-weaker   “Trump couldn't ask for a better opposition.”   This includes the results of research to show what the Democrats should be doing:   “1. Unite early.   2. Move fast to stop the backsliding.   3. Build a coalition bigger than your base.   4. Don’t just protest - peel people away.   5. Give people something to vote for, not just something to vote against.”   These lessons also apply here, in Australia

My article(s) on SubStack:

  • From https://substack.com/profile/322283803-kayleen-gnwmythr/note/c-271916760: “Recently I listened to a livestream on YouTube where the presenter and audience interacted over (vague claims of) cures for disabilities (Down’s syndrome and wearing glasses were discussed … ). As a chronically ill disabled person who also has a neurological difference:   (1) there are disabilities that a cure would result in an easier life for the disabled person;   (2) the motivation of many people seeking cures is, in MY experience, too often that the cure seeker wants life to be easier for them, not the disabled person - the cure seeker wants to avoid having to address their ableism and the ableist and in other ways discriminatory systems, structures, and behaviours of the world.   IMO, the bigotry and general fear of difference I described as point (2) is a form of emotional-psychological disability that requires an urgent cure - even if every other form of disability was somehow cured overnight.”

Possible flaws

Where I can, I will try to highlight possible flaws / issues you should consider:

  • there may be flawed logical arguments in the above: to find out more about such flaws and thinking generally, I recommend Brendan  Myers’ free online course “Clear and Present Thinking”
  • I could be wrong - so keep your thinking caps on, and make up your own minds for yourself.

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
