The comment on download page 8 that “It would appear wrong for Australia to remain ignorant of the true situation”, and the listed lack of resources, still applies here, IMO. See also:

As a chronically ill disabled person who also has a neurological difference: (1) there are disabilities that a cure would result in an easier life for the disabled person; (2) the motivation of many people seeking cures is, in MY experience, too often that the cure seeker wants life to be easier for them, not the disabled person - the cure seeker wants to avoid having to address their ableism and the ableist and in other ways discriminatory systems, structures, and behaviours of the world. IMO, the bigotry and general fear of difference I described as point (2) is a form of emotional-psychological disability that requires an urgent cure - even if every other form of disability was somehow cured overnight.”
