The following thoughts have occurred in response to something I am reading (but will neither review nor name).

Love for those close to us emotionally does NOT preclude caring according to need - as will be understood by all who are spiritually and emotionally mature.
In practice, malice and hate arise in response to injury, even if such was not the cause of the contention that led to the harm.
