This is just a quick post about a thought for further exploration:
how is, or could, shadow work be affected by our connections to our parallels/other soul parts, and maybe even the collective unconscious?
If these connections - especially via the collective unconscious - are real impacts, it is further support for the views that no person is an island unto themself, and that we each bear collective responsibilities (probably along the lines of the “common but differentiated responsibilities” doctrine, which basically means we are responsible for what we can do - for doing OUR bit, not for the overall outcome, as that is a group effort, and those with greater power/opportunity have greater responsibility [and “our bit” might include encouraging/urging/pressuring them to do THEIR bit]) and MUST make the world a better place rather than working on us and us alone.
No Sentient Life left behind ...
(There’s another thought about when species evolve or pass out of existence and how life transitions at that point [e.g., at what point in human evolution from other primates was it reasonable to say animal rights had become human rights?], but I’ll leave that for now ... )
Possible flaws
Where I can, I will try to highlight possible flaws / issues you should consider:
- there may be flawed logical arguments in the above: to find out more about such flaws and thinking generally, I recommend Brendan Myers’ free online course “Clear and Present Thinking”;
- I could be wrong - so keep your thinking caps on, and make up your own minds for yourself.
