anyone distressed by anything in this post, or for any other reason considering
seeking support, resources are available in Australia here, here, and here. In other nations, you will have to do an Internet search using terms such as “mental health support - <your nation>” (which, for instance, may lead to this, this, and this, in the USA, or this, this, and this, in France [biased towards English-language - my apologies]), or perhaps try https://www.befrienders.org/.
The purposes of this post’s news section include:
(1) to provide information, including news, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide); and
(3) to help engage and frame my emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a good state to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial comments by me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

News :
On the existential climate crisis and nuclear threats this week:
a call for urgent action to limit climate change impacts on human rights; concerns about Australia’s use of consensus including environmentally destructive businesses in making environmental decisions;
⇒ the cost of back-to-back disasters in Australia is projected to increase from the current $2.2 billion in the first half of 2025 to $8.7 billion annually by 2050;
In the global war against f_sc_sm (and “producerism”) this week:
A group of Nobel laureates, scientists, writers and artists has warned that the threat of fascism is back (I think they're too late: fascism is back now), and hundreds of political scientists consider the USA is becoming an authoritarian state; the UN Secretary-General has warned that “‘hate speech is poison in the well of society’ ... a warning sign and a driver of violence”;
the problem of “negativity bias”; how to spot projection propaganda; an excellent article “for anyone who’s felt disconnected, uncertain, or like their “inclusive self” has been harder to reach lately” - including why psychological safety is a prerequisite for empathy (I don’t consider it essential, but it is very important and definitely helpful), emotional energy, the value of quiet seasons, low empathy, and mistakes; a call to speak now, or be forever complicit;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA include:
- ⇒ “WHOA! Extremism Expert BLOWS THE LID Off M_ G_ SLEEPER CELLS” https://youtu.be/MFROJj_agiY “Ken Harbaugh speaks with extremism expert and Army veteran Kris Goldsmith about the recent politically motivated assassinations in Minnesota. Kris explains how this act of violence fits into a dangerous trend of rising extremism in America—and what it signals about the growing threat of political violence in the months ahead.” He expected political assassinations to start around now, and the discussion includes Christian nationalism/religious fervour - see also this
⇒ The successful “No Kings Day” (see here for an excellent mapping of those events) was also accompanied by a deliberately underwhelming military parade for the current US autocrat (who is showing how unbalanced he is) which was marked by protests by the military personnel forced to participate, both showing the deep unpopularity of the current US "president";
⇒ a discussion on what is needed as follow up to “No Kings Day”;
an assessment of the long overdue comments by former President Obama on freedom in the USA (that “idealised values are being eroded. They should not be”), and a call for Clinton, Bush, and Biden to do the same; more authoritarian conduct; the amathiac, cowardly, and unethical organisations that attempted to appease the current US "president" are experiencing yet more adverse consequences; an opinion by an experienced lawyer against deploying the US military against US civilians; why some self driving taxis were burned during protests; “Reporters Without Borders (RSF) called on the California Attorney General ... to put an end to and investigate police violence against journalists covering the recent Los Angeles protests against [the current US president]’s mass deportation raids”; a judge has ruled some NIH cuts illegal - and raise questions about racist discrimination; Senate support for a crypto currency fails to address the corruption aspects; as the US economy crumbles, the next group experiencing buyer’s regret is business - but some other Republican party members are unhappy with their party's budgetary bill; suppression of the press; the group which is trying to reverse the oligarchic US supreme court decision that gave rich people excessive political power;
⇒ in what appears to be the sort of politically motivated event that has been warned would come from the appalling speech of the far right (who further showed their contemptibility by spruiking conspiracy fantasies after these events), a “religious” and conservative (homophobic) man has been tracked, arrested and charged for allegedly murdering a state lawmaker and her husband and wounding another lawmaker and his wife;
“local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who cover their faces while conducting official business could face a misdemeanour charge in California under a new proposal ... the bill would require all law enforcement officials to s... be identifiable by their uniform ... would not apply to the National Guard or other troops and it would exempt SWAT teams and officers responding to natural disasters”;
This comedian also makes several excellent points;
- “The Most Dangerous Corporation in America” https://robertreich.substack.com/p/palantir-the-worst-of-the-corporate “... a corporation called Palantir Technologies and a man named Peter Thiel” by Robert Reich
- “Pot, Meet Kettle: Exposing U.S. Propaganda” https://usamomingermany.substack.com/p/pot-meet-kettle-exposing-us-propaganda This covers “projection propaganda”, “Accusation in a Mirror” (“the playground trick that starts wars”), and “the primacy effect”, and what to do about this
§ On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters, after the current US “president” conceded that deportations and renditions are harming some specific types of US businesses, ICE will reportedly move raids away from those businesses (those raids on businesses have been reinstated), but will focus on democrat run cities and other politicised actions; ICE is already $1 billion over budget; more organisations are choosing to stand on the right side of history by refusing access by ICE; a commentary on the latest rubbish from ICE;
- “Bad actors mimic masked ICE agents; Community outraged over snatchings by unidentified agents” https://youtu.be/FmpOZsjbCks
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding Ukraine/Russia (et al) include:
Russia has come up with another ludicrous obstacle to peace in Ukraine - and is showing hypocrisy over drone attacks on nuclear power facilities; another call for Europe to prepare for the USA’s imminent reduction in military aid to Ukraine - and “a US government working group that formulated strategies for pressuring Russia into peace talks and ending the war in Ukraine has been disbanded by the White House, Reuters reported”; the latest exchange with Russia includes the return of the bodies of around 1,200 civilians and soldiers; the G7 summit resulted in more support for Ukraine, but also shows the limits of diplomacy; Ukraine is not waiting for more delayed and/or uncertain aid, and has designed and is manufacturing its own ballistic missile; Russia included some of its own dead soldiers in the bodies repatriated to Ukraine - showing lack of care, according to the article, but possibly also to avoid having to pay the benefits?; Russia’s Economy Minister has warned it is on the verge of recession ... but the Israel-Iran war could give Russia (which is showing double standards) the economic boost to prolong its war against Ukraine (unless Iran collapses);
Russia may provoke a crisis in Moldova’s Russian-occupied Transnistria region to destabilise Moldova ahead of parliamentary elections scheduled for September;
Finland’s parliament has voted “to withdraw from the Ottawa Convention banning anti-personnel landmines, citing growing security concerns from Russia’s aggressive posture”;
On other international affairs/political news matters this week:
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding West Asia include:
⇒ Palestinians are still being killed by Israel (including by tanks), but restoration of internet raises the possibility of restoration of humanitarian aid ... maybe but the humanitarian crisis continues to worsen;
⇒ “THE BBC's coverage of Israel's brutal assault on Gaza shows "a pattern of bias, double standards and silencing of Palestinian voices", a new report has found”;
the Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory has told the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) that Israeli actions in Palestinian territories constitute war crimes;
⇒ On the war between Israel and Iran:
see this assessment, which includes the context - and also note Iran’s appalling human rights record; “But I also hate the use of force by one alliance of nations with fascist inclination against another of totalitarian inclination. Nothing good can come from that, and this is what is happening in the Israeli-Iranian conflict” - and civilians will pay the price; a warning Israel could have made the threat from Iran worse; a military assessment that this could be a long conflict - or possibly a wider one ... Israel is warning of a long war; this could also give Russia (which is showing double standards) the economic boost to prolong its war against Ukraine (unless Iran collapses); an examination of the battle of narratives - and Netanyahu has been warning against a possibly nuclear armed Iran since the 1990s (and global support for his war in Gaza had been declining ... and this provides additional distractions); a speculation that Israel could possibly want an externally imposed regime regime in Iran (and regime collapse would be a major blow to Russia) - see also this assessment of the opposition in Iran - who doubt this will lead to a better regime; an assessment that Israel has not destroyed Iran’s nuclear capabilities (although there is a limited risk of nuclear radiation leaks) - or ambitions ... but US weaponry could possibly have a more substantial impact, and Israel is seeking US involvement; an Israel-linked group has stolen $90 million of Iranian cryptocurrency; an assessment that Iran’s missile capacity is possibly limited - see also this; an assessment of Iran’s allies - who are currently staying out of this; an assessment of a statement from Iran’s religious leader in early June which could have been what set this all in motion;
- according to an international relations expert speaking to The National “the G7 bloc supporting Israel’s “right to defend itself” amid genocide in Gaza and now unlawful aggression against Iran signals a dangerous expansion of military conduct first tested in Palestine which “threatens humanity”” - see also this;
staggering arrogance and trivialisation by Israel’s Prime Minister;
in shades of Gaza, Israel has started ordering civilians to leave their homes ahead of attacking alleged military targets ... and Iran has done likewise for Haifa and Tel Aviv (I note that Iran does not appear to have the capacity to direct its weaponry as accurately as Israel, so this is at least partly due to their inadequacy); Iran has hit an Israeli hospital (WHICH IS WRONG - but Israel’s complaints about that are hypocritical) and Israel has hit a heavy water reactor and threatened a “decapitation strike” retaliation for the strike on the hospital;
some people are fleeing Iran into Pakistan - thousands have fled Tehran; civilian air traffic across the region has stopped (which is prudent);
§ On the USA and this war, an opinion that the currently disinterested US "president" is the only person who could stop the conflict - and apparently he has vetoed assassinating the religious leader of Iran; an opinion Israel intended its attacks to destroy the nuclear talks between the USA and Iran - and possibly drag the USA directly into this conflict (Israel even asked the US to take part); Iran has warned the USA against getting involved, and the current US “president” has ignored his chosen intelligence chief’s assessment (that Iran is not producing nuclear weapons), his voters and his key supporters, and the US Congress to POSSIBLY already have the USA involved in the war - but he is openly dithering/prevaricating/playing games ... but the USA is moving more military assets into the region; the current US “president” has set a two week deadline for a decision on US involvement, with a The Guardian exclusive reporting that doubts over the effectiveness of the USA’s (non-nuclear) ‘bunker buster’ bomb being a key factor;
- reports of ongoing violence here, here, and maps/assessments here, here, and this comparison of the two nations militaries;
Rohingya in Burma are being starved to death under genocidal policies; the dangers of an insurgency by armed groups in the Rohingya camps of southern Bangladesh against the Arakan Army (the ethnic Rakhine group that has taken over much of the refugees’ home state) - fighting is more likely to hurt than help the Rohingya cause (I note that a Rohingya insurgency was the excuse used to trigger the genocide against the Rohingya, and that similar violence has led to the destruction of Gaza);
⇒ “The crisis in Sudan has become ‘a grave human rights and protection emergency’, the United Nations mission says” ... and 86,000 refugees have fled from South Sudan to Sudan ...
the outgoing US Africa Command (AFRICOM) Commander has said African nations are “not asking us to pull them up. They’re already there. They want us to respect their sovereignty. Treat them as equal partners” in the fight against “the most volatile security environments in decades”, and he “credited Africa’s younger generation as essential actors in the continent’s fight against violent extremism—as builders of peace”; Mali's increasingly stronger junta has followed their seizure of a western-owned gold mining company by turning to Russia for more gold mining investment; as Rwanda arrests an opposition leader and its supported rebel groups in the eastern DRC forcibly deport civilians, Rwanda and DRC initial a preliminary peace treaty, with a formal signing later this month;
the EU has tightened political party funding rules to counter foreign interference;
On human rights matters:
Racism in one state nearly cost a pregnant Aboriginal woman her life as another shows a problem with the complete, utter and absolute failure to control in any way whatsoever at least one violently racist police officer who was involved in a death at police hands that is the subject of a demand for an independent investigation - and “all seven Commissioners of the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) have joined forces to call for sweeping reforms in response to the continuing crisis of Indigenous deaths in custody”; “Walk for Truth welcomed to Parliament” https://youtube.com/shorts/ptU4C1a27Ek See also “First The Talk. Now the WALK” https://yoorrookjusticecommission.org.au/first-the-talk-now-the-walk/ and “Walk for truth: hundreds of people join 486km trek from Portland to Melbourne for reconciliation” https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/jun/18/walk-for-truth-hundreds-of-people-join-486km-trek-from-portland-to-melbourne-for-reconciliation “Yoorrook Justice commissioner walked from the site of first settlement in Victoria to state parliament to promote truth-telling about Australian history”; “for the first time in its 116-year history, the NAACP has declined to invite a sitting U.S. president to its national convention — a stark rebuke of [the current US regime]’s policies, which the group says run counter to its core mission of advancing civil rights”; the Benin Bronzes have been returned to Nigeria;
in a blow to the transphobic hate in the UK, a senior EU legal official has strongly confirmed trans rights; a call to end shadow banning of queer artists on social media; “$285M raised to protect LGBTQIA+ rights in America”; “dozens of MEPs to attend Budapest Pride in defiance of Viktor Orbán”; a supposedly workers rights organisation in the USA has betrayed everything it is supposed to be by abandoning trans workers - and supposed health care organisations are complying in advance to deny trans people life saving health care; a transphobic media organisation has gone on a splurge of hate; after a notorious transphobe attempted to bully a genuinely feminist newspaper (because it was sympathetic towards transpeople) has been rejected by the newspaper - “her attempts to control our language are not welcome and should be called out by those who claim to value free speech. At The National we deal in truth, and will not be cowed by a billionaire trying to control media output to fit her own worldview”;
- a noted historian’s view, after discussing the protection of slavery in the 1830s (and later attempts to create a strictly christo-fascist nation) that led to the dangerous notion of states rights, on the US supreme court’s decision to remove the rights of trans children and youth, “either all of us have rights, or none of us have rights” - this decision is thus not just an attack on young trans people, it is an attack on everyone;
⇒ “Afghan women face near total social, economic and political exclusion” - see also “gender apartheid: oppression of women should be made a crime against humanity – feminist academic explains why”;
the scars of sexual violence in war far outlast the fighting;
On societal and governance matters:
The problem of the massive economic disruption and economic inequality created by tax havens; “building our way out of social housing unaffordability may no longer be possible ... Australia is still spending nowhere near enough to decisively reverse decades of neglect. Winding down tax breaks might be the answer”; an examination of real world decision making - beginning with rejecting the “stupid assumption” that “the whole of economic theory is based upon”; Australia’s Treasurer has said “Labor has a responsibility to move beyond its election mandate and consider tax reform” but the “media’s ‘rule-in rule-out game’ ... has ‘cancerous effect’ on policy debates”; a call for the UK to go back to nationalised water (as someone who used to work in that industry, the described conduct is appalling);
⇒ ✰✰✰ From a spiritual perspective: self care is vital to allow coping successfully with attempted overwhelming; the response should be calm, precise, and measured BPM. ✰✰✰

- “Are There Spirits In AI? Ask A Witch” https://www.patheos.com/blogs/johnbeckett/2025/06/are-there-spirits-in-ai-ask-a-witch.html “... Science fiction author Philip K. Dick said “reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.” Gods, spirits, and magic tend to be persistent like that – even when mainstream experts refuse to acknowledge them.” The article also discusses ethical aspects: “There’s no question that many of the troublesome conversations with AI are simply the result of AI being created by humans and trained on human conversations.” But, much as when Ouija boards were invented, some of the interactions may be spirits using the newest available tool. The last three sentences of the article are superlative, and essential

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our MÓ•gan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).#PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM because #KindnessIsThePoint
