In what I consider a quest for distraction on the domestic front and an attempt to build his fantasies about his legacy, the addled US autocrat-in-charge has taken the USA into the Israel-Iran war.
The work of this blog is needed to:
- ensure commentary covers all aspects - especially the personal motivations of leaders (including Iranian, as a comment by their religious leader in early June may have triggered this whole amathiac mess), but also that the USA’s addled-autocrat-in-chief created this whole mess by suspending a flawed but functional agreement;
- encourage moderation by all sides and their allies - especially Russia, which needs to be mindful that it will be far worse off if the current Iranian regime collapses;
- minimise toxic jingoistic (especially toxic “gotta-be-“strong””) rubbish; and
- help contain the possibility of this spreading.
