Post No. 1,810 - Personal Milestone

Almost 14 years ago, in June, 2007, I started this blog. Six years later, in June, 2013, I reached 10,000 views; five years later, in September, 2018, I'd had another 90,000 views to reach 100,000 views; today, two and a half years later, I have now reached 200,000 views (long term average around 14,500 views/year, but 33,000 views in the last year).

This blog is still a minnow, as far as the Internet goes (I'm aiming for quality, not quantity ๐Ÿ˜Š ), but I am pleased.

 The top six nations I've had views from are shown below, but I'd also like to acknowledge Portugal and Romania, who have been recent sources of hits. Those who are managing their privacy and/or safety & security are also a significant and respected proportion (around equal third).

To place this into some sort of context, my other blogs have:

  • Gnwmythr's Glossary, created to be a convenient reference point for myself and others - almost 32,000 views since April, 2014 (4,600/y)
  • my political blog - almost 12,000 views since 2016 (2,400/y)
  • my creativity outlet "Musings of Kayleen" - 12,000 views since 2007 (<900/y);
  • my candles blog, created after several online candles sites went off line - almost 9,000 views since 2016 (1,800/y);
  • my old "ideas" blog - 1,000 since 2008 (last post 2016, but may yet put a few more ideas there);
  • my old (inactive) online blog copy of my regression-rescue circle manual - almost 3,500 hits for posts in late 2010 (formally ended in 2016, but I still occasionally use it as a reference)
  • the (inactive) "Rangers of the Inner Plane", for rescue-regression work - 1,000 views, active 2010 - 2012;
  • my associated old (also inactive) Grove of Gyhldeptis blog, for an independent group to ethically oversee the Rangers - 1,000 views, active 2009-09 (formally ended in 2014);
  • an abortive (long inactive) political blog, active over 2007-08, and generous at having had 47 views (I very nearly didn't add it to this list ๐Ÿ˜ ).

Also, as I wrote, this blog is a minnow in the Internet world. For an idea of what else is out there (and I haven't bothered to check any of these, so keep your thinking cap on), see here, here, and here (I can't find any information on how many views they get, but suspect, based on number of followers, it would be substantially higher than mine).
