The purposes of this post are:
(1) to provide information, including news, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units); and
(3) to help engage and frame my emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a good state to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” and/or “On the resistance to the reign of Tr_ mp 2.Ø” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so.

News:
On the existential climate crisis this week: an activist protesting against the climate crisis cannot use expert climate change testimony in his defence ... (!!!); the cost-of-living impacts of the climate crisis will be experienced most fully by today’s young people; an expert’s opinion that “recent governments have ... created intergenerational inequality and environmental destruction”.
In the global war against the radical right/f_s c_sm this week (and for links on what can be done - now, see here [Indivisible] and Dem-Optimism and this [Robert Reich] and this [AOC] and this [Devon Price] and this [PBS Voices] and this [on burnout] and this [efficacy of nonviolent protest] and this book and this book and these links ):
- a warning that other despots have been greenlit and NATO has effectively been killed by Tr_ mp’s declaration of ideological war (with delivery being by Tr_ mp’s lackey - who has hooked up with local fascists), which Europe is beginning to respond to, amid calls to stand up for its values (as polarisation and political violence increase in Germany) - and a warning that the USA is threatening democracy globally.
- Ukraine, which is dealing with Russia’s illegal and unprovoked war, remains in effect the world’s frontline. Ukraine’s President has powerfully rejected Tr_ mp’s views, betrayal of Ukraine & Europe, and apparent adoption of role as Putin’s enforcer - although Russian state TV is happy on that one (Tr_ mp has been described as Putin’s puppet - but note that there has always been a ‘Putin wing’ in the GOP) and has warned of possible attacks on Poland or Lithuania (and the Baltic nations are now actively preparing for war) as Europe holds an emergency summit on Ukraine (Russia warns it will not accept NATO troops in Ukraine, which may be being considered [it has in the past] although France will offer security guarantees but not troops - and a joint nuclear shield was also possibly being reconsidered) - and Ukraine warns it will not accept the results of any negotiations that exclude it (with good reason - including that history warns such exclusions are never good); Hungary is threatening to derail unified EU sanctions;
- Taiwan is holding its breath ... ;
- it has been revealed that the polygraph-using ICE wants to hire contractors to, in effect, thought police (using AI) people’s view about ICE - and then possibly view those people as targets, a warning that Tr_ mp’s ‘greatest propaganda op in history’ is “straight out of the authoritarian playbook” but there has also been a call for decency in this time of monsters; how M_ sk is brow beating elected US representatives into subservient compliance; the self perversion of conservative media attempting to make Tr_ mp appear acceptable;

- Other resistance includes: a correction by astronauts on the ISS of Tr_ mp’s lies about NASA plans and timing of relief (NOT rescue) trips; protest resignations including this (DOJ official), this & this (FDA administrator), this (acting commissioner of social security administration); a reminder of the ongoing, often cyclical need to protest; Argentina’s President Javier Milie is facing impeachment demands after his billion dollar Tr_ mp-like crypto scam; a demand for New York’s mayor to resign after his corruption case was dismissed by Tr_ mp acolytes; a call for the US Democrats to stop doing nothing (I especially like the question as to why congress members didn’t call police to enforce their rights of access recently - see also this) ... and some US Democrats are starting to act - but see also this, on frustration inaction/misapplied efforts by at least one other Dem; hundreds of US federal prosecutors have publicly warned about Tr_ mp; successful court overturning of an attempt by M_ G_ ites to restrict voting rights; a Tr_ mp appeal to reinstate the EO against birthright citizenship has been rejected; federal workers are taking action; “Ten reasons for modest optimism”; white South Africans are mocking Tr_ mp; a criticism of M_ sk’s problems with transparency; growing anger of Republican voters against their elected members of the US congress; a US state governor has resisted a bullying attack by Tr_ mp; anger at social security lies by M_ sk; a legal opinion questions the legality of DOGE; two courts have rejected Tr_ mp’s binary sex rubbish.
Regarding Tr_ mp this week, we have:
- a forced admission of Tr_ mp’s business problems; in what appears to be an attempt to evade accountability, the Tr_ mp regime is now trying to claim (in court) that M_ sk is not the head of DOGE ... but Republicans are contradicting this; threats to the USA’s social security system; a “constant attack” on workers; the sacking of those workers who oversee the USA’s nuclear weapons ... followed by a belated attempt to re-hire them - and an invitation for those responsible for the debacle to resign ... and a subsequent “accidental” firing by an increasingly incompetent appearing regime of those workers who were managing bird flu ... and another belated attempt to rehire them ... ; sacking of more air safety workers - despite recent air crashes; anger of car racing fans as Tr_ mp posts about his trip to a race event and ignores flooding that killed 8 people; the cutbacks are closing rehab centres and thus putting addicts back on the streets; artists are distancing themselves from the Kennedy Centre after Tr_ mp’s takeover; the attack on vulnerable academics; the US AID cuts will increase child slavery in Afghanistan; disgusting crudity by Tr_ mp’s FBI Director nominee in a children’s book; doubts that the US Supreme Court would constrain Tr_ mp; an examination of the hypocrisy shown by M_ sk and Vance regarding free speech - and this, on the White House attacks on press freedom and possible press responses; transerasure from Stonewall; a likely lower (“tanked”) birth rate; an executive order based on a fringe legal “theory”; legal abuse of unaccompanied minors; a disguised attack on Medicaid and a pretence at meeting a campaign promise on IVF; more partisan prosecutions; a polite dissenter at a Council meeting was immediately arrested by hovering police after criticising M_ G_ and mentioning civil disobedience; US Republicans ARE CHOOSING TO NOT USE THEIR POWERS; more xenophobia and scapegoating by the USA’s 3IC; the US AID freeze has compounded long term donor neglect in Burma/Myanmar, an examination of which companies are obeying in advance by erasing DEI and which companies are NOT; an opinion that Haitian Americans have been betrayed; a threat to attack Universities over DEI;
- a warning from history about what happens (global economic disaster) when the USA tries high tariffs;
- “Worse Than Watergate: Thursday Night Massacre” https://youtu.be/Jehv5qXQAD8 by the LegalEagle channel and “Blatant Corruption At The DOJ” https://youtu.be/_FIPqrcVBvI “In an apparent (alleged) quid pro quo with the Justice Department, the corruption case against New York Mayor Eric Adams has been dismissed. The DOJ can still revive the charges at any time, giving Tr_ mp significant leverage over the Mayor of the largest city in the United States. Adams has already opened Riker’s Island for ICE use, and there’s no telling what more he’ll be (allegedly) coerced into doing under this clearly (allegedly) corrupt deal he's struck with the DOJ.” I also note that the Attorneys General couldn’t define immediate harm to justify a TRO, but the DOJ also appeared to be grossly incompetent
Concerns about Tr_ mp’s mental state this week includes: his inferred thinking of himself as an emperor - and deliberate, direct description of himself as king; a rant about magnets; his utterly absurd descriptions of Ukraine’s president and blatant lies about Russia’s illegal and unprovoked war against Ukraine; sadistic gloating about cruelty in deportations; concerns about M_ sk; bragging about the amount of gold he has; invented approval numbers.
This week the Israel-Palestine war/ceasefire has seen: the resumption of the polio vaccination campaign; the continuation of hostage-prisoner exchanges - and the release of bodies (but not by Israel - and the manner of release has been described as abhorrent ... and Israel is saying one was not of an expected Israeli hostage) as there are promising indications by both sides about the second phase of the ceasefire - BUT Israel’s Prime Minister commitment to US emperor Tr_ mp’s plan for ethnic cleaning of Gaza strongly suggests he is likely to reject H_s’ pledge to hand over control of territory to the Palestinian Authority; alleged Islamophobic attacks in my home city have led to an arrest.

In other international news: Tigray has demanded full implementation of the Ethiopia-Tigray peace deal; the Libyan dream has not yet been realised ... ; calls for long term investment to help Syria transition to democracy; as the USA sanctions a Rwandan government Minister and a militant, the ““Congolese Are Paying the Price” for Western Demand for Minerals & Support for Rwanda’s Paul Kagame”; concerns have been raised after commercial flights were diverted when three Chinese navy vessels conducted a live fire drill in international waters, in accordance with international law, and with brief prior notice in the Tasman Sea (gunboat diplomacy? General flexing of muscle or specific intimidation/bullying? Are we too dependent on China economically to question them on this?).
In human rights news: as a warning is made that calling for social cohesion is NOT an answer to Australia going backwards on race (the very real structural racism problems need to be acknowledged, discussed, and solved), in the course of trying to sideline transphobia as an issue, Australia’s neoliberal opposition leader Dutton has effectively admitted, by reference to two sexes and parent’s rights and refusal to mention gender, that he is transphobic; the USA is trying to withdraw from trans rights cases; an excellent response, setting out the broader context of transphobia being the toe in the door of misogynistic threats to other women, to a TERF/biological essentialist/gender crit; despite its denial, a Qld council is effectively making homelessness functionally illegal - and note this report on the right to housing; the groups left without adequate access from the NDIS reforms; christo-fascists violently attacked and stopped an LGBTQIA+ event in New Zealand; “The National Anti-Corruption Commission will investigate the six individuals referred to the body by the robodebt royal commission after an independent review into its initial refusal” (as it should, IMO - the initial refusal was always wrong); allegations that missing soldiers in the Central African republic were kidnapped by Russia’s informal military; the invisibility of male victims of CSA; a The Guardian exclusive reports Amnesty International states UK police use of predictive policing is racist and classist; the Benin Bronzes will be returned to Nigeria; two massive multinational corporations have shown their true (lack of rainbow - bigotted) colours ... ; increasing racism in Australian schools is indicative of the increasing racism in Australia - see also this - as a Senate enquiry is told a national truth and reconciliation commission is essential; grave concerns about police inaction in my home state that passively supported n__-n_ z_s and actively harmed trans people; appalling unprofessionalism (that threatened a patient’s life) by a TERF in an operating theatre and rabid transphobic hate by some media.
