I have swapped the structural order of these posts, and am now starting with the reflections section before I get into the news sections.

anyone distressed by anything in this post, or for any other reason considering
seeking support, resources are available in Australia here, here, and here. In other nations, you will have to do an Internet search using terms such as “mental health support - <your nation>” (which, for instance, may lead to this, this, and this, in the USA, or this, this, and this, in France [biased towards English-language - my apologies]), or perhaps try https://www.befrienders.org/.
Remember: #PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM because #KindnessIsThePoint - and actively practice nonphysical health, strength and wellbeing
The purposes of this post’s news section include:
(1) to provide information, including news, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide); and
(3) to help engage and frame my emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a good state to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial comments by me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

News :
Noting the excellent daily aggregation of global news links at https://everythingbriefing.substack.com/
On the existential climate crisis and nuclear threats this week:
Yet another article asking “if” we’re heading towards “managed retreat” - but this time, in the context of river floods, rather than coastlines subject to sea rise (and the answer is, YES, as it has been for decades); another warning of the need to adapt to a future of extreme heat; a call for Australia’s former carbon tax to be reinstated - along with other measures;
- “Court finds no duty of care owed to Torres Strait Islanders over climate change” https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-07-15/torres-strait-island-climate-case-court-decision/105532802 The judge ruled GHG emissions targets are matters of government policy (and was strongly critical of weak targets that were set without considering the science), not courts, but the Uncles had proven their case (and acknowledged the future devastation and destruction) - which had merits, but negligence law does not cover government policy. The Minister for Climate Change acknowledged the islands’ vulnerabilities, and said “the government was “continuing to turn around a decade of denial and delay on climate””. An Aunty said “the decision was “a moral loss for the government, not for us”” This has led to a call for relevant laws to be enacted.
- “Protecting the environment has always made economic sense. Now we have proof” https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/jul/17/protecting-the-environment-has-always-made-economic-sense-now-we-have-proof “The failures of our environmental protection laws mean we are not only failing nature but also undermining productivity – at a huge cost”
In the global war against f_sc_sm (and “producerism”) (note the advice/examples/guidance on resistance here, here, here, here, here, here, here, this [on the efficacy of nonviolent protest], this book, this book, this, and these) this week:
in Australia, “what happened to the Liberal party of Menzies? They became obsessed with virtue signalling ... Robert Menzies knew the Australian people craved security and prosperity – not button-holing statements made by that one weird neighbour we all avoid”; excellent advice on how to be a campaigner seeking to change the world - “and a word of warning: patience, skills, and conviction matter more than quick fixes” - it is more of a triathlon than even a marathon, and “if you want to change the world and understand how it works, you've got to actually go and work in it”, so this person favours being an accountant, lawyer, or part of a management training scheme, rather than an academic; “5 Stories of Courage to Fight Fascism In a sea of despair, here are stories to lift you up and inspire you to hold the line against injustice” - I found the last item (“5. Massachusetts Proves What Happens When You Tax the Rich ... Conservatives cried foul and said the rich would flee. Instead, the state saw a 39% increase in the number of millionaires. ... when you tax the rich, you uplift everyone — including the rich”) particularly inspiring; “The Perils of Loosening Hate Speech Protections”;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA, noting this on “a slight change of activist focus”, include:
On the disastrous flash floods in the US state of Texas, revelations that FEMA allowed one of the destroyed camps to remove its buildings from the 1 in 100 year flood warning map to get lower insurance costs ... ; more revenge sackings by the USA’s highly coercive Autocrat-in-Chief [AIC]’s regime; the AIC is trying to claim a citizenship power he does NOT have; a vile act of genocidal racist hate by one of the AIC’s cultists; the US Director of National Intelligence has thrown the obligation to be non-partisan out the door by attending a far right event; the role of (authoritarian) parenting in creating fascists / AIC/M_ G_ cultists; ⅔ of the AIC’s regime “Lawyers REFUSE TO DEFEND Him and QUIT”;
- the major internal divisions in M_ G_ over the (alleged?) documentation of a child abuser continues - see “The Supreme Court, the Deep State, and J_ Epst_ _n”, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, re WSJ on a 2003 letter - and AIC threats and AIC request , here, the AIC’s former VP has joined the calls for the files to be released, here, a victim-survivor’s call for accountability;
- This week’s lies by the AIC include this;
a note re the AIC’s health, but published by a non-medical source;
younger Democrats are trying to rebrand the party and get rid of the Old Guard; a warning against complacency;
§ On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters, a judge has ordered the cessation of indiscriminate immigration arrests by MAOVUCs (masked, armed, often violent, and unidentified charlatans) in one US state (and I note warrants were presented at one raid, where unfortunately a worker died, which shows that problems continue [and “the Department of Homeland Security ... gets exposed for urging police to change their criteria for 'violent tactics' to include common activities during protests in threat bulletins that were uncovered after a public records request” and the USA’s Autocrat-in-Chief [AIC] has given MAOVUCs authorisation “to protect themselves using ‘whatever means’ necessary”], but recent orders and public pressure has had an effect); data contradicts the AIC’s claim that his regime is deporting “the worst of the worst”, with fewer than 30% having ANY criminal conviction - and “research has consistently found that immigrants are not driving violent crime in the U.S. and that they actually commit fewer crimes than native-born Americans”; with the backing of the AIC’s court, the US regime has authorised rapid rendition of deportees; people being held are increasingly people without any criminal records; the AIC’s regime has demanded rental information, sacked judges, blocked bail (“bond”) applications, and renditioned some deportees to eSwatini - where human rights abuses are of concern;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding Ukraine/Russia (et al) include:
concerns about the risk of Ukraine backsliding into authoritarianism; the moral rot being shown by a large press outlet in the USA; a consideration of the possibility of managing an unending war with Russia by what is being termed ‘strategic neutralisation’ as part of a “a revised theory of victory”; an analysis of the US AIC’s continuing inadequacies and shortcomings regarding Putin and Russia;
large scale munitions supplies to Russia from North Korea; an examination of what is known about oil tankers that go to Russia experiencing explosions suggests they are limper mines from a navy;
a call to consider what would happen in Ukraine falls; France has boosted its military spending; aid deliveries to Ukraine from the USA (some via Europe) have apparently resumed;
reconstruction funds are coming from the World Bank and the EU, with a call for Russia to pay compensation to Ukraine; Slovakia has blocked the 18th set of sanctions to Russia, as Slovakia wants to keep using Russian gas;
On other international affairs/political news matters this week:
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding West Asia include:
At least 20 Palestinians have been killed in a crowd crush incident caused by Israeli gunfire at a so-called “aid” facility;
the Israeli ruling coalition will have a marginal majority after far right members announced they would leave the coalition over laws ending military service exemptions for ultra-Orthodox people - see also this; “CPJ condemns latest escalation against free expression as Israel extends detention of journalist”;
another Holocaust survivor has spoken against Israel’s actions in Gaza; on the silencing of critics of Israel’s actions in Gaza; 12 nations have agreed on definite actions to take against Israel*s genocide in Gaza; a threat was made against the ICC Chief Prosecutor;
- “push to end antisemitism is welcome but envoy’s plan raises concerns, Australia’s race commissioner warns” https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/jul/17/push-to-end-antisemitism-is-welcome-but-envoy-plan-raises-concerns-australian-race-discrimination-commissioner-warns-ntwnfb
also in Australia, “an application by a pro-Israel group to refer editors, reporters and lawyers from [a media outlet] for contempt proceedings has been dismissed by the federal court”; meanwhile, UK police are using the recent banning of a group to actively suppress free speech;
“Iran says it would resume nuclear talks with US if guaranteed no further attacks”;
Syria has vowed to protect the Druze, but after an Israeli attack had to withdraw their forces and fighting resumed;
concerns that gang violence in Haiti could lead to regional destabilisation - but the UN has renewed its mission; “New Caledonia to be declared a state in ‘historic’ agreement – but will remain French” (so no independence, but a move towards autonomy); a peace agreement in the Central African Republic has started taking effect; CCP goons tried to censor Australian journalists accompanying the Australian PM on a state visit to China; Ethiopian militia are attacking agricultural villages in Sudan, exacerbating the food and humanitarian crises there; Ukraine has offered to help Ghana, experiencing problems from neighbouring nations, to secure its borders; Mexico has called for the USA to do more to arrest drug traffickers on its own turf and stop the flow of weapons south across the border; an assessment finds some key progress but other SDGs are “way off track”; Brazil has refused to take orders from foreigner Tr_ mp;
On human rights matters:
the impact of normalised Islamophobia in the USA; a call for Australia’s multiculturalism to be made more meaningful by inclusion with voice, as inclusion without voice is tokenism;
“concerns have been raised about the cultural inclusivity of an action plan released by the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre ... “The plan appears to have been developed in isolation without engagement from the many Aboriginal community organisations and service providers across the State””; the UN has called for “increased Indigenous participation in international organisations”; allegations of retaliation against an Indigenous elder for using the SA Voice;
vile misogyny shown by a firefighting union and tacitly acceded to by the state opposition; in a staggering act of misogyny, the acting head of Qld police has claimed domestic violence is not part of their business;
a far right extremist is trying to peddle their transphobic hate in my home state;
- “Caster Semenya’s ECHR win lauded as landmark case for athletes’ rights” https://www.jurist.org/news/2025/07/caster-semenyas-echr-win-lauded-as-landmark-case-for-athletes-rights/ “The Grand Chamber ... chided the Swiss Federal Supreme Court’s disregard for the seriousness of the personal rights at stake, namely the impact of the DSD Regulations on her bodily and psychological integrity and identity, right to self-determination and right to exercise her professional activity as “inconceivable.” ... [Judge Šimáčkov’s] remarks are particularly important as they underscore the evolving understanding in international human rights law that true equality requires acknowledging how overlapping forms of discrimination, such as race, gender, and geography, compound disadvantage within institutional frameworks. The dismissal of medical evidence adduced by experts in the first two trials as to the invasiveness and degrading nature of sex testing regulations is alarming, as it reinforces the archaic stereotype of there being only one metric for femininity and that individuals who do not conform to this standard are less of a woman. Other than not having a legitimate scientific basis, gender verification testing has also led to cases of misidentifying individuals with genetic variations as ineligible for competition, leading to a public smear campaign.”
human rights concerns about the use of AI in the (digital) welfare system in the UK - and “academics are reportedly hiding prompts in preprint papers for artificial intelligence tools, encouraging them to give positive reviews”;
On societal and governance matters:
a commentary that a few vicious malignants (my words) are ruining the Internet for everyone else - but, noting that unfollowing divisive political accounts on a notorious social media platform led to a 23% reduction in animosity after a month, and the half who declined to re-follow them reported less animosity after 11 months, “platforms could easily redesign their algorithms to stop promoting the most outrageous voices and prioritise more representative or nuanced content. Indeed, this is what most people want”; “‘neoliberalism lite’ is no solution to Australia’s cost-of-living and productivity crises. We must curb wealth concentration”; a call to make homelessness part of health care; a warning that Australia faces ‘increased risk of entrenched disadvantage’ (“people with disability, social attitudes towards LGBTQ+ people, and valuing multiculturalism and the contribution of migrants were central policy concerns”) from global uncertainties, including conflict and trade wars, with financial pressures which “will require increased focus on policies that demonstrate value for money and lead to improvements in employment, social inclusion and overall wellbeing”; research has found that the best way to ensure avoidable deaths of children do not occur in often under-staffed hospital emergency departments is to ask parents “Are you worried your child is getting worse?” - 95% of the 190,000 asked that question said no, showing they DON’T “cry wolf”, but “in 19% of cases, parents reported a problem several hours before any vital sign abnormality”; four misconceptions about demographic decline; the toxicity of Australian politics;
⇒ ✰✰✰ From a spiritual perspective: do NOT let your attitudes/actions/assumptions/worldview be limited to what you have physically encountered - welcome the rest of this broad Universe in; ✰✰✰

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).#PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM because #KindnessIsThePoint
