Post No. 3,249 - The Legislation for Treaty will be introduced to my home state's Parliament today (actually on Wednesday 10th September, 2025)

The legislation for the Treaty between the First Peoples of this state and the settlers will be introduced to the Parliament of Victoria today. 

PS - this actually occurred on Wednesday 10^th September, 2025, and included the first & second readings, and the Statement of Compatibility, with further debate deferred to Tuesday 23^rd September, 2025 

It still has to go through the normal Parliamentary process, and the neoliberals are going to oppose (and seem to be showing their cluelessness with whinges about cost but no acknowledgement of the value stolen from us - documented by Yoorrook, as well as statements that the Closing the Gap process - which hasn't worked so far because of a lack of consultation with First Peoples - "should" work [yes, it should, but it won't until you start listening to us, so stop being amathiac/obtuse/worse]), and will get through the lower house (called the Legislative Assembly), and passage through the upper house (the Legislative  Council) is very close to assured. 

Then it has to be implemented.
