The purposes of this post include:
(1) to provide information, includingonews, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide); and
(3) to help engage and frameomy emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of this post will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a goodostate to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within this post, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial commentsoby me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

On the existential climate crisis & nuclear threats and environmental issues this week:
Details of the impacts of various heat rise scenarios on Australia; a call for the financial costs of climate impacting decisions to be included on company balance sheets; protecting trees shields humans from disease; the USA wants to hide GHG emissions; the ozone layer is continuing to heal; climate change “caused more than two thirds of heat deaths in European cities” this year and “1,009 deaths in Australia from 2016 to 2019”; evidentiary testimony to Parliament that Australia isn't trying to get off fossil fuels - and, since it is not possible to get insurance against likely events, getting household mortgages will become impossible in vast areas of climate crisis affected Australia; powerful critiques of the inadequacy of Australia's emissions reduction targets; disappearances and killings of environmental defenders;
In the global war against f_sc_sm (and “producerism” and sociocide) - whichoisofought wherever we are (note the advice/examples/guidance on resistance here, here, here, here, here, here, here, this [on the efficacy of nonviolent protest], this book, this book, this, and these) this week:
Mamdani is giving others confidence; an opinion (well worth taking to heart, IMO) that the current troubles could lead to a better world; a reminder of "the genius of Bayard Rustin ... who mentored Martin Luther King Jr. [and] still has much to teach movements about harnessing the power of ‘people in motion’"; Argentina has changed course and will boost social spending after years of damaging austerity; “Free Speech and Me Speech A helpful distinction”; some thoughts by a commentator “On the Projection of Violent Rhetoric”;
Reminders from the past (including via Noam Chomsky) that political violence is self destructive (that the Vietnamese asked the Weathermen to stop is something I had not known); an assessment of the threat of violence from the CTLRW (critical thinking lacking right wing), and a warning against the "dangerous thinking" which is "leading us to war, fear and austerity"; a UN expert has warned of the threat that global inequality poses to human rights; "hyper-connected" CTLRW groups are leading "not particularly exceptional" rallies in Australia (but see this and this, from the UK ) against scapegoated groups over grievances and perceptions around "entitlements or privileges or access to resources that are being taken away" - which has happened before (e.g., during COVID-19), but normalised "exclusionary politics" is also a contributor - and has been warned against, along with the dangers of the Internet, by intelligence agencies; concerns about right wing bias at a major UK media outlet; fears in the UK that the USA's AIC might trigger a civil war there; an examination of the impacts of technological change; stochastic terrorism by thugs in the UK; the UK’s power elite - which has long had a growing divide to the rest of population - has “drawn up the drawbridge” with an isolationist state visit ... and capitulated to the USA’s AIC ... ; concerns that Australian police have NOT monitored n__-n_ z_s at protests - and have even taken actions biased in favour of the n__-n_ z_s; being smart won't keep you out of cults (such as M_ G_): critical thinking will;
- “What Ch_ rl __ K_ rk’s Death Revealed About the World”;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA and theiroAutocrat-in-Chiefo(AIC), noting this on “a slight change of activist focus”, include:
Following the (unacceptable) assassination last week of a right wing person, security concerns for politicians in public, concerns about the USA generally, false and misleading online claims and very questionable (transphobic) claims by a critical thinking lacking right wing (CTLRW) governor (for comparison, see this), sacking of critics (but not CTL right wingers who make violent and/or extreme calls), commentary about why the person was unlikely to be a martyr and an opinion that the "hit back harder" language was unlikely to happen; an attempted fire bombing of a news vehicle failed and the alleged perpetrators have been arrested; appalling hypocrisy being laid bare; false claims that transgender symbols were found at the shooting; the victim'so(doxxing) "machine ofopolitical t_ror_r" allegedlyocontinues; the roommate - who may or may not be trans (between denialism and bigotry, I am not confident in what I am seeing) - is cooperating with law enforcement; the same photo of the alleged killer has been doctored by both sides; more suppression of dissent; alarmingly, another media personality has been silenced - see also this on suppression of the press, and this call to respond; the US House of Representatives refused to censure one of its members; TACO is making this threat; foreign disinformation and meddling;
- allegedly pro-free speech CTLRW conservatives - including the AIC - are threatening and trying to silence critical speech (some workers have been sacked) - see also this, and, on the AIC’s #2's call for a mass doxxing campaign (which included utterly wrong “statistics”), see this update;
- the suspect has been charged, and there is a hate-of-the-AIC's_hate motive, as well as trans involvement, which may, IMO, be deadly for trans people ... ;
"a New York state judge [has] dismissed terrorism charges against [the] alleged shooter of United Healthcare CEO"; more transphobic hate from CTLRW politicians in the USA; more fake books being delivered by Amazon in lieu of the books actually ordered;
- Evidence of the AIC’s unsuitability (including mentally) this week include: this;
- Acts ofobullyingoand/ororevengeothis week include: this;
§ On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters, West Africans being renditioned to Ghana were held in straitjackets for 16 hours by US thugs; crime victims are also being targetted; South Korea is investigating the treatment of its citizens following their arrest and prolonged detention - which has led to their refusal to go back, despite the AIC's hapless attempt to "make things better" - in the USA last week; ICE has killed an immigrant father after a traffic stop and lied about what happened (security cameras have shown the truth), and made a revenge detention of a day labourer who is suing Chicago Police - see also this; abuses in ICE detention; an injunction has been issued against ICE for injuring journalists and/or protestors;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoUkraine/Russia (et al) include:
NATO will launch "Eastern Sentry", including three Czech helicopters, in response to Russia's drone incursion into Poland (Poland will not sever diplomatic ties with Russia, though, at this time - but Lithuania is ready to close it's border with Belarus) and is considering closing airspace over western Ukraine. Europe appears to be showing more nuance and understanding in its response, as outlined here and here, and, to a certain extent, here. The EU is considering a bond swap plan to allow effective access to frozen Russian assets without seizing the funds; the presence of the USA's envoy is a shield against Russian air attacks; in response to US pressure, Europe will phase out Russian oil more quickly (which is LONG overdue, IMO); the EU has renewed sanctions against Russia, despite Hungary and Slovakian opposition, the UK has renewed sanctions and pledged aid, Estonia has also pledged aid, and the USA has approved US arms aid funded by Europe; the EU will get around Hungary's opposition to NATO membership for Ukraine and Moldova by a "unique approach" to allow those two nations to continue the work they must do before membership; Ukraine has created a military ombudsperson role; Poland will learn from Ukraine about air defence;
Russian propaganda claims NATO is, in effect, at war with Russia; “Putin's clash with Russia's top banker shows increasing disconnect over war economy, experts say”; an examination of Russia's use of salami slicing tactics; another Russian abuse; “Russia and Việt Nam have developed a back-door method of concealing arms deal payments to avoid American and other Western sanctions”; expanded censorship;
Russian meddling in Moldova's coming elections; Belarus has released eight Belarusian journalists as part of a group of 52 political prisoners freed in response to eased US sanctions on Belarus’ state airline; Poland has been inspecting its bomb shelters;
On other international affairs/political news matters this week:
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoWest Asiaoinclude:
After one of its generals confirmed over 200,000 Palestinians killed or injured, Israel has started its attack on Gaza City ... leaving residents the option of ‘running from death to death’ - unless they're disabled ... ; “contrary to Israeli claims, none of the Palestinians interviewed by the Guardian in recent weeks have said they came under pressure from H___s to stay in the city. Many residents said they had been unable or reluctant to leave for multiple other reasons. Some are physically unable to move, weakened by many months of near starvation, and some cannot afford the costs of transport or the price of a rudimentary plastic sheeting tent at their destination” - and many have no access to phones after Israel destroyed the networks; Israel's attack last week on Yemen also killed 31 journalists;
I understand that aid agencies are starting to focus on preparing for around two million refugees in the Sinai ... if that happens, the failures will include the world for two millennia of antisemitism that led to the Holocaust of the n_ z_s and the essential requirement of a safe nation for Jewish people, the UN for not either adopting a single nation option or ENFORCING the two state solution in the 1940s, Transjordan (as it was then) and Egypt and the UK for being greedy about their desires and thus preventing the two state solution when it would have been possibly easiest to acheive, the world for forcing Israel on the Arab world and the Arab world for failing to be generous and allow a portion of land for safety of a relatively small group of people, both sides for their escalating wars and actions since then - and the western media for incompetence and bias, the USA for its incompetence over decades - with one bright moment of hope that was destroyed by an assassin and haters, and the emotional incompetence of key world leaders over the last three decades and the amathia of voters who stupidly chose tyrants (who were too often backed by self centred powerful nations and interests) ... So what is going to win now: decency, hate, personal/societal incompetence, or some combination of that trio? Because no-one will ever be able to recover from what they have knowingly done, aided, or allowed ...
The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel (UN website, Wikipedia) has, in a significant but legally nonbinding decision, concluded that "the Israeli authorities and Israeli security forces have committed and are continuing to commit the following actus reus of genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip", but also in the West bank, and prior to 7 October 2023 - see the OHCHR, ABC, Forbes, BBC, CNN, The Guardian, AP News, Ha'aretz (which basically uses the AP News report), and The Jerusalem Post; the UN General Assembly has voted to support the “New York Declaration” (first proposed in July) including an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages, and the establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state, despite US and Israel opposition; a victim of the t_rr_r_sm of October 7 who hid in a safe room for 35 hours as her son and 64 of her community were murdered and 19 kidnapped to Gaza (with two still there), a woman who is “a refugee in my own country” who says she had “for seven decades watched as Israel “tried war too many times – and it hasn't worked””, is also “part of the small but growing push within Israel for the recognition of a Palestinian state”; a critique of recent Jewish aid delivery via pro-Israel groups states: “the Israeli group’s work will remain mostly window dressing without a more political approach: “[the group] is constantly trying to separate issues of humanitarianism from what caused them in the first place. But if you’re not actually going after the root causes, then the humanitarian issue itself will never actually be alleviated,” they said. “People are not starving due to lack of resources. They’re being starved intentionally””;
Qatar “has urged the world to reject "double standards" and hold Israel to account after a strike on Doha last week”; “Saudi Arabia signs a mutual defence pact with nuclear-armed Pakistan after Israel’s attack on Qatar”; accusations of a cover-up in the UK - which is refusing to release documents relating to widely criticised charges against protestors; universities around the world are cutting ties with Israel; a The Guardian exclusive reports that a hospital cancelled a panel to discuss the effects of war on children in response to allegations of risks to Jewish staff and patients - note “a US military veteran [including volunteering in Ukraine] and general surgeon currently volunteering in Gaza ... says she sees up to 400 patients a day, about 40% of whom are under the age of 20. This week she reports seeing six children killed with gunshot wounds to the head”: “what I’m seeing here is evidence of a systematic destruction, as I said, of the civil infrastructure, the extermination of a people and a way of life. I don’t know what else you call it”;
Pro-Palestinian protestors have violently disrupted a sporting event in Spain; some nations will boycott Eurovision if Israel is included, others won't; a call for the EUotoouseotheoblockingostatute to protectothoseoexposingoIsrael'sogenocide; a human rights organisation has identified corporations it alleges are profiting from Israel's genocide in Gaza;
"one in every four people in Afghanistan is facing severe food insecurity, and more than 4.7 million women and children require urgent treatment for malnutrition"; to ongoing concerns, another Venezuelan boat allegedly carrying drugs has - in likely violation of human rights - been destroyed by the US in international waters, and another raided as the AIC tries to "justify" the actions; more China-Philippines tension in disputed waters; the diversion of US$2.2 billion of public funds by South Sudan's leaders has left the populace without adequate food access in an escalating crisis; Australia's arrogant attempt to have imperialistic veto rights over Vanuatu's foreign affairs and equally imperialistic failure to obtain a defence agreement with PNG (and appalling downplaying of diplomacy) shows “a failure of mindset; a failure of policy; and, critically, a failure to appreciate the cultural, political and social dynamics of the Pacific [founded in] two factors: dependence on America and fear of China”; 42 million people in Africa face hunger; an analysis of the situation in South Sudan;
On human rightsomatters:
A vile racist hit-run killer will not serve any prison time in the allegedly tough-on-crime NT;
Scientific and human decency doubts about the resurrected after it was deemed intrusive and ineffective (including by the scientist who developed it) "genetic test" for female athletes; Australia's neolibs have committed to transphobic hate; a well-written call for Sydney's Mardi Gras to be publicly funded and free of police;
Sexism by an airline against a mother expressing milk; some improvements for women in Iran;
in a major surprise, someone of decency is left in the AIC's Do"J" and will take action over alleged disability discrimination;
an Australian corporation breached privacy rights; workplace surveillance has extended into homes;
On societal and governanceomatters:
Concerns that plans to use AI for housing planning approval in Australia will become another Robodebt ... ; a corporation has been described as "unAustralian" - by neoliberal Premier - for blaming job losses on "fair go" royalties; the well intentioned and important attempt to develop a wellbeing measurement tool has been ineffective; single parent households are three times more likely to be in poverty; more inaccuracies (including racist bias) with age verification tools being proposed for the social media ban on young people in Australia; a debunking of myths around government spending; an example of the personal harm caused by data breaches;

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our MÓ•gan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
