Post No. 3,250 - Reflections on the past week, and some interesting reading/viewing [Content Warning - oppression/bigotry/hate/violence/abuse/war. Reader discretion is advised]

Matters for reflection :

From my SubStack channel:    “Taking action in an imperfect world”   https://musingsofgnwmythr.substack.com/p/taking-action-in-an-imperfect-world   “The illogicality of wanting things to be "right" before acting against things being wrong ... ”

 Some llinks that might be of interest or value:

  • An excellent example of animal communication abilities - and, IMO, sentience:   “Todd Will Casually Tell Me About Things”   https://youtu.be/s6nPYZdGiLY
  • also from YouTube:

For the news sections

Note: CONTENT WARNING - some of this content isoabout upsetting, disturbing or triggering events & attitudes. Seek competent help - including professional - if you need it. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander readers are advised that linked articles may contains names and/or images of deceased people. READER CAUTION IS RECOMMENDED! For anyone distressed by anything in this post, or for any other reason considering seeking support, resources are available in Australia here, here, and here. In other nations, you will have to do an Internet search using terms such as mental health support - <your nation>(which, for instance, may lead to this, this, and this, in the USA, or this, this, and this, in France [biased towards English-language - my apologies]), or perhaps try https://www.befrienders.org/

Remember:   #PsychicABetterWorld   and   ononphysical health, strength and wellbeing

The purposes of this post’s newsosection include:

(1) to provide information, includingonews, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;

(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical  units,   BPM  healing,   and   BPM  strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide);   and

(3) to help engage and frameomy emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM  Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.

Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a goodostate to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the News sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.

Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial commentsoby me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

 News :

Noting the excellent daily aggregation of globalonews links at   https://everythingbriefing.substack.com/

On the existential climate crisis & nuclear threats and environmental issues  this week:

A human rights group has stated that (in its opinion) a major fossils company “bears responsibility for cleaning up and remedying historic oil pollution in the Niger Delta, Nigeria, despite the company’s divestment of its Nigerian subsidiary”;      the existential threat of weaponised disinformation;      reduced trade winds and broader climate shifts have caused Panama’s seasonal upwelling in the Gulf to fail for the first time in at least 40 years, which could harm local fisheries and coral reefs;      the vital necessity of peace to managing climate change;      Australia will allow a major climate damaging gas project to be extended;      Europe will allow nuclear and gas energy to be called "sustainable" investments!!!;

In the global war against f_sc_sm (and “producerism and sociocide)  - whichoisofought wherever we are (note the advice/examples/guidance on resistance here, here, here, here, here, here, here, this [on the efficacy of nonviolent protest], this book, this book, this, and thesethis week:

“US tech companies enabled the surveillance and detention of hundreds of thousands in China”;      China and Russia increasingly working ‘in tandem’ to undermine faith in governance, top Finnish official claims   Finland’s secretary for foreign affairs and defence, Pasi Rajala, says China wants to learn from the battlefield experience in the Ukraine war”;

“A study by the research group FiscalData last week found that Brazil's 0.1% richest people (about 160,000 individuals) increased their earnings fivefold faster than average Brazilians between 2017 and 2023”;      mainstream media is continuing to give conservatives a divisive voice;     extreme cruelty in the UK;

“the division exposed by the March for Australia was a test for our politicians. They failed it – and put the nation last” This article refers to the warnings for months by Australia’s intelligence agencies - including pleading to avoid inflammatory rhetoric;

Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA and theiroAutocrat-in-Chiefo(AIC), noting this on “a slight change of activist focus”, include:

Staggering amathia and ignorance shown by a survey which reveals “Most U.S. adults think personal choices are a major driver of poverty and homelessness”;

one of the white supremacist enablers of the AIC has been killed - and, while that stopped the harm he was doing, he was still a human being and deserved life (although his victims also deserved protection from his hate-fuelled harm), but see also this on attitudes, and this on historical context. A ill-advised stunt just beforehand has made this particularly risky for Pagans. This event is being described as "a moment of great peril", an indicator of a (continuing)  vicious  spiral, a missed opportunity (inevitably so, given the AIC's many flaws), and cause for concern about decades of repercussions. The murder has also seen the problem of a graphic video.   ...   The alleged murderer is now in custody - despite, rather than because of, the FBI. As was always more likely than the hate fuelled allegations by the AIC and his cultists, the ALLEGED murderer is a white cishet male. The weaponisation of that murder to attack the left is, however, continuing

the AIC has leapt back to the early 1900s and, in a psychologically revealing and extremely aggressive act (as is also the threat he made against another Democrat controlled city), renamed the Department of Defence as the Department of War - see also this and this;      the AIC is trying to bully the EU into not holding a US tech company to account;      criticism of the AIC’s #2;      an analysis of the AIC’s use of executive orders - including to enable power grabs;      yet more cluelessness raises more questions about the AIC’s fitness;      concerns about a possibly imminent attack by the AIC’s goon squads on another US city;      the US$83 million defamation judgement against the AIC has been upheld YET AGAIN;      “Far-right influencers steer [the current US regime], rather than the other way around   It’s a problem that the White House is filled with amateurs. It’s also a problem that they’re taking direction from other amateurs with media megaphones”;      a warning by a noted US historian to take action now in the US to preserve voting systems - waiting till the next elections will be too late;      racial profiling has effectively been legalised;      TACO is redirecting his goons from Chicago to Memphis "after facing resistance";

  • Evidence of the AIC’s unsuitability (including mentally) this week include:  this
  • Actsooforesistance this week include:  thisthisthis;

§   On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters,  South Korea has been stunned by the arrest (with a subsequently negotiated release) of 300 of its citizens by ICE (this will harm relations with South Korea, but as that nation relies on the USA for its defence, some sort of relationship will continue);      Ghana will accept people renditioned from the USA;

Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoUkraine/Russia (et al) include:

Signs the “coalition of the willing” may be unravelling;      protests in Ukraine against harsh penalties on soldiers - “service is not slavery”;      Ukraine is manufacturing almost 60% of its weapons domestically;      Germany will provide anti-drone air defence systems and the UK will fund thousands of long range attack drones;      Ukraine has received US$1.2 billion of financial aid from Europe;

Russia is fortifying its border with Finland;      as a result of its weakness and desperation Russia is being used by China - and, in an extremely strange statement for any US leader who is not a Russian pet, the AIC has acknowledged “losing” Russia to China - which is exporting much less to Russia;      “two explosions in the far-eastern [more than 6,000 kilometres from Ukraine] Russian city of Khabarovsk have killed and wounded members of a military unit accused of carrying out war crimes during the Battle of Kyiv in 2022, a source in Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) has told the Kyiv Independent”;      Nicaragua - where the deaths of jailed opposition figures suggest a power transfer from the dictator to his wife - is considering signing trade agreements with Russian occupied parts of Ukraine;      despite years of sanctions, Russian weapons still have western components;      Russia and Belarus have started joint military exercises;

Poland has shot  down  Russian  drones in its airspace (which appeared to be targetting an airport used to distribute aid to Ukraine)closed its border with Belarusand activated article 4 NATO consultations as Lithuania starts sounding air raid sirens when Russian UAPs intrude into its air space - and Slovakia has been warned not to pretend the event didn't happen. However, these two  analysts point out that, while the intrusion was clearly deliberate, because Russia is losing the war against Ukraine AND IT THUS DOES NOT HAVE THE SPARE MILITARY CAPACITY TO START A NEW WAR, the drone attack was more likely aimed at getting Europe to stop sending munitions and weapons to Ukraine - where they would be of immediate impact and contribute best to Europe's very necessary unified defence - and Ukraine has called for sanctions as the strongest & best reaction to this. Europe is now seeking Ukrainian drones, and Polish and Ukrainian specialists will practice using drones and anti-drone technology on Polish territory;
Polish-Ukrainian tensions are continuing;      a Belarusian spy network across Europe has been broken up;       Germany says Ukraine is only the beginning of Russia's imperial ambitions;   Russia's focus on Ukraine has allowed the South Caucasus to become free of its influence;      Hungary will take more energy (gas) from the west, but will still continue to take Russian gas supplies;

On other international affairs/political news matters this week:

Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoWest Asiaoinclude:

Claims a major US tech company has a $45 million deal with Israel to cover up the famine in Gaza;      “Israel’s top court says government is not giving Palestinian prisoners enough food   Justices rule state is legally obliged to ensure ‘basic level of existence’ and orders authorities to improve nutrition”;      thousands rally in Israel to call for end to conflict in Gaza and release of hostages”;      a growing number of soldiers "and their mothers" are refusing to return to Gaza (this has, contrary to the article's assertion, been happening for some time - including before 2023);

Israel has attacked  Qatar to kill several H___s members, devastating negotiations, triggering global condemnation, and raising doubts over the USA's ability to protect its allies and rare disquiet by the US regime over Israeli actions. According to Qatar, regional response "is underway", and the attack killed any hope for the remaining hostages;      Israel is making vague threats if Palestine is recognised;       H___s gunmen have killed six civilians and wounded others at a bus stop in Israel;      a H____i drone strike against Israel;      as the IDF continues to kill Palestinians, around one million are refusing to leave Gaza City as they do not believe their ordered destination is safe;      a mass arrest of 1,500 Palestinians - including children - in the occupied West Bank;

An Israeli weapons company has closed a facility in the UK;       Scottish Police have changed their response to protests over a controversial banning of a pro-Palestine group (and they have been so inept as to arrest someone wearing a tee shirt referring to plasticine!) while English police have continued to be heavy fisted and, in effect, pro-genocide;      a second night drone attack against an international aid flotilla;     the European Commission has partially suspended the trade agreement with Israel;
Islamophobia in Australia has been described as a terrifying reality and urgent action called for;      Islamophobia in Queensland has been condemned by the neoliberal government;      Islamophobic acts against mosques in France;

Tensions are escalating between the USA and Venezuela;       more suppression of dissent in Serbia;      the Pacific Islands Forum is underway - without Taiwan, China, or the USA;      in an extremely disturbing development, “the leader of a notorious outlaw motorcycle gang is part of a secret deal with the Nauru government to provide private guards for the South Pacific island, which was recently promised a further $40 million from the Albanese government for security and policing”;      protests by both sides ahead of the announcement of the verdict in the trial of a former president of Brazil;      growing suppression of the opposition in Uganda ahead of the coming elections;      Sudan is being described as “a war of atrocities”;      "militants" are blockading fuel imports to Mali;      recommendations to stop Chad being affected by the violence in Sudan;      a former president of Brazil has been sentenced to 27 years jail for organising an attempted coup;      concerns that Liberia is at risk from regional instability;

The USA is effectively considering boosting drug cartels by cutting anti-drug funds to Colombia;       growing legal and other concerns over the alleged drug smugglers killed by the USA

§   On the USA’s AIC’s tariff war,   the AIC is destroying relationships that are necessary to countering China's growing influence (and reducing US sales in China);

On human rightsomatters:

“The Dangerous Precedent of Extraterritorial Killings”;

An arrested transphobe in the UK has doubled down on their hate and called again for more transphobic violence;      the creator of the Trans Pride flag is leaving the USA for safer conditions;      the US regime's attempt to access trans records has been blocked;      Ukraine has recognised a same sex couple;      Tasmania’s Lower House has unanimously passed new hate crime legislation;

“How the Taliban’s Repression of Women Deepens Afghanistan’s Earthquake Tragedy”;

Argentina’s Senate has reversed a presidential veto of measures to support disabled people;

an AI company will pay $1.5 billion to settle a case alleging it used pirated copies of authors works to train its AI;

On societal and governanceomatters:

Nepal has shut down 26 social media platforms for not registering, but after at least 19 deaths in protests against them, the bans have been lifted and the PM has resigned - see also this;      job losses from AI in banking;      an, IMO, inept attempt at “managing” a real and major crisis by punishing those who fail, rather than finding a way to ensure success (e.g., mandating minimum training, staff ratios, addressing funding problems, etc);      now France is going to try a social media ban for young people;

An expert argues that the robodebt class action settlement "represents "accountability avoided", leaving questions of misfeasance unanswered";

From a spiritual perspective:   hold to the truth and hold others to facts

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
