Post No. 3,254 - A poem: “The extremes ... ”

From my creativity blog at https://musingsofkayleen.blogspot.com/2025/09/the-extremes.html

The extreme
of hate and violence
is not best met
by an extreme
of whatever other
is deemed its balance
- that extreme too
must sway back
to a middling point
- a point not lesser,
a point where
the greater struggles
and glories
reign
- the place
of being the best one can,
doing the best one can
- with family, friends, and world
against struggles
normal and mundane,
and also beset by extremes
- unnatural, easier, louder, extremes ...

The pendulum analogy is upside down: going to extremes is easier than staying balanced, centred, good.

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
