anyone distressed by anything in this post, or for any other reason considering
seeking support, resources are available in Australia here, here, and here. In other nations, you will have to do an Internet search using terms such as “mental health support - <your nation>” (which, for instance, may lead to this, this, and this, in the USA, or this, this, and this, in France [biased towards English-language - my apologies]), or perhaps try https://www.befrienders.org/.
The purposes of this post are:
(1) to provide information, including news, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units); and
(3) to help engage and frame my emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a good state to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so.

News:
On the existential climate crisis and nuclear threats this week: “average person will be 40% poorer if world warms by 4C, new research shows”; an insurer has warned the climate crisis will destroy capitalism, a floating solar power project in Ghana.
In the global war against the radical right/f_s c_sm (including their networks) this week (and for links on what can be done - now, see Resistance Labs, “How to Think (and Act) Like a Dissident Movement” (The Bulwark), here [Indivisible] and Dem-Optimism and this [Robert Reich] and this [AOC] and this [Devon Price] aand this [PBS Voices] and this [on burnout] and this [efficacy of nonviolent protest] and this book and this book and this and these links ):
The attempts by the USA to breach other nation’s sovereignty by ramming it’s amathiac, counter-productive, contrary to evidence & decency, anti-DEI ideology down everyone else’s throat is being resisted - including in France (and should be utterly rejected out of hand) - although, in the USA, the ADL appears to have surrendered to anti-DEI pressure (and also the US navy - which will harm it and reduce its effectiveness); violent far rights groups in Sweden are reportedly recruiting boys as young as ten; Senator Bernie Sanders has compared a graphic from a campaign email of the current US president to Holocaust-Era antisemitic propaganda; the “Hands Off” protests have reached many other nations.

Pramila Jayapal talks with Rachel Maddow about teaching her constituents practical, hands-on lessons in non-violent protest, drawing on the principles of Martin Luther King Jr., in a series of “resistance labs”, as an increasing number of Americans feel they can no longer sit idly by while D_ Tr_ mp dismantles the United States government” and “The 8 step plan to win our country back” https://youtu.be/mRKRu1wqMQk which refers to and is based on “How to Think (and Act) Like a Dissident Movement” https://www.thebulwark.com/p/how-to-think-and-act-like-a-dissident-in-trumps-america “AOC, solidarity, and people power ... We now see that most institutions are weak in the face of authoritarianism. ... The Democratic party has more to learn from Alexei Navalny or the protesters in Serbia than it does from Chuck Schumer or strategists obsessing over message-testing crosstabs. This battle is half mass mobilisation and half asymmetric warfare.” which is being left unlocked The 8 steps are (this is cut down slightly): 1. Demonstrate popular power through large-scale rallies, 2. Use these events to organise the resistance into a mass movement that can be called into action, 3. Direct the mass movement into targeted political strikes, 4. Politicise everything - attack the authoritarians for every bad thing that happens (anywhere in the world), flood the zone, 5. Elevate the corruption/graft in a way that pits the billionaire insiders against the “forgotten man”, 6. When the moment is right, bring this movement to the Capital for a show of strength, 7. Use this demonstration as a slingshot to take back legislative power in the 2026 elections, 8. More importantly, use it to send a message to the institutional actors that people will have their back if they show courage. “Twenty Lessons, read by John Lithgow” https://snyder.substack.com/p/twenty-lessons-read-by-john-lithgow “Key selections from On Tyranny, for viewing and sharing”. Robert Reich has proposed ten rules for dealing with capitulation demands from the current US regime: look beyond the excuses to the real reasons & ignore other pretexts, be aware that the surrender/capitulation is the point - including for the effect it has on others & the regime’s goons so unite to fight this systemic intimidation, and the press must stop fanning the flames and educate the public on resistance and celebrate those people/organisations who do resist ... and has given “some reasons for modest optimism”
Also in the USA this week, we have:
- several historians are leaving the USA because of its increasingly fascist nature; the US economy has contracted almost 8% under the current regime; attacks by the current US regime on legal firms is chilling opposition by making finding lawyers more difficult ... but some legal firms are fighting back, and urging others to make a stand as well; pressure on media platforms is continuing; the USA’s Attorney-General and FBI Director have “signalled” that they will not open an investigation into whether Espionage Act and other crimes were committed by what if increasingly being referred to as “Signalgate” (the leaking of war plans in an unsecured messaging platform), which is assessed here as a failure ... and may not be the first such occurrence ... but an investigation has now been started; a key vote for judicial position in one US state has gone the way of pro-democracy liberals - despite massive spending on anti-trans hate and other ads (a record breaking speech by a US Democratic Senator is credited with being important in the result); cracks in the Republican behemoth;
- the current US president has confirmed he is seeking a third term - which has received bipartisan criticism;
- on deportations, see “Private groups work to identify and report student protesters for possible deportation” https://apnews.com/article/trump-foreign-students-campus-gaza-protests-deportation-9e2d4abc1c158454da1f68c01062c9ef; in an act being described as evil, the current US regime has admitted it deported someone it shouldn’t have ... but is refusing to get him back ... ; a kidney donor has been detained, putting a US citizen’s life at risk; a union organiser has been detained; a judge has held an ICE agent in contempt for interfering with legal proceedings; a Uni student has left the USA rather than risk being abducted off the street; an assessment of the deportations published by “Jewish Currents” - and a protest by Jewish students; an examination of the legal blocks against the deportations.
This week, remembering this call to bear witness, the Israel-Palestine war/ceasefire has seen:
- Israel admitting that the IDF had fired on ambulances and fire trucks: the UN says the IDF killed 15 Palestinian paramedics and rescue workers one by one - which is backed by autopsy reports showing execution style killings; H___s has agreed to an Egyptian-Qatari proposal for a ceasefire, while rejecting Israeli demands that it disarm (I doubt the proposed ceasefire will eventuate - it addresses urgent short term issues [the hostages] but not the long term power issues that both sides have moved from permanent peace negotiations to ceasefire talks) but Israel’s opinion is that H___s is starting to yield in negotiations (and Israel’s PM has claimed he still wants the hostages released), which will allow Israel to ultimately commit the USA’s planned ethnic cleansing - and Israel has ordered that Rafah be emptied and has stated it is planning on seizing large areas of land to divide the strip; the human cost for the families of Palestinian hostages/“captives” held by Israel - and for prisoners, who are not told if their families have been killed; Israel’s PM (two of who's aides have been arrested on suspicion of taking bribes) has ignored the ICC arrest warrant against him to travel to a fellow right wing authoritarian’s nation (Hungary - which will quit the ICC) “for talks”; an opinion commenting on what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank, including a call to bear witness;
- in Australia, as part of the current national election campaign the conservative opposition will keep the antisemitism envoy but likely not (there will be “a review”) the anti-Islamophobia envoy.
In other international news, including the illegal and unprovoked war against Ukraine:
- the USA has threatened to militarily invade Greenland; a powerful criticism of the current US regime’s recategorisation of Denmark’s value - despite Denmark’s powerful and costly assistance over decades in multiple areas to the USA; China is practising blockading Taiwan and “carried out "live-fire" drills targeting crucial ports and energy sites” - which may also be about global force projection; Iran has said it would get nuclear weapons if attacked; despite the need for aid - including international aid - for the victims of earthquake in Burma/Myanmar, the junta is continuing the civil war and blocking aid as the monsoon looms; Sudan is on the brink of famine from its civil/proxy war; Mexico is combining the more medical approach to drugs with a former enforcement model; the impeachment of South Korea’s former president has been upheld - which may lead to violence;
- as the frustrated USA finds how intractable Russia - which has called for a UN administration of Ukraine and rejected the proposed peace/ceasefire deal - can be, it threatens to use tariffs (would actually be sanctions, perhaps?) against Russia - but note this caution to ignore what the current US president says, and watch what he actually does, and note also this caution on the difference between peace deals - which are unlikely under the current circumstances - and ceasefires; Ukraine’s President Zelens’kyi has outmanoeuvred the current US regime (which tried to SNEAK in a MAJOR change to the minerals agreement) and Putin with the help of Canada, Europe, and Australia; the “Coalition of the Willing” has agreed one European leader should engage with Russia;
- the UK is surrendering to bullying in the form of US tariffs, while China, South Korea, and Japan have agreed to strengthen trade ties in response to US tariffs; a former Australian PM has said “‘Get off your knees and stand up for Australia’ when dealing with [the current US president]” - and Australia’s current PM had already told the current US regime “that Australia is ‘not negotiating’ on biosecurity, medicines and news”; and ...
- the US regime has now announced - complete with sanity questioning lies - its tariffs on the world (and against US residents - see here) (including an isolated Antarctic island of rocks and penguins) - see this report and this video (Meidas Touch Network), this (France 24), this (AP News), this rejection by Australia of the wrong terminology used by the US president (see also this, this, and this) and an acknowledgment of the need to break with the USA (maybe also AUKUS ... ), the opinion of Robert Reich on what democratic nations affected should do in response (create a free trade zone that excludes the USA, impose a 10% tariff on the USA, limit US banks’ access to their stock markets and similar measures, and delay negotiating until they can do so from a position of unity and thus strength), this assessment of the global impact, the UK’s position, Costa Rica, China has condemned the unilateral bullying and imposed retaliatory tariffs, Ukraine, sanctions (which govern economic relations between the US and Russia, making tariffs irrelevant) have been increased against Russia - except for reductions for the wife of a Putin ally, stunned reactions to how the tariffs were “calculated” (see also this, on both Trump regime’s mathematical incompetence), some workers are already being laid off, France is proposing a pause on US investment, the UK is considering responses/retaliation, massive market crashes - see here, here, and here;
In human rights news:
- the appalling n_ z_ “useless eaters” thinking has made a return under the current US regime; sexual violence is being used as a weapon of terror across Sudan; questions about whether a murdered woman’s previous complaints about her husband were taken seriously by French police;
- Aboriginal leaders and human rights experts have submitted a complaint against Australia’s “discriminatory and punitive youth justice policies” and resultant “serious violations of the human rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children” to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, calling for urgent action; Magabala Books has called for First Nations storytellers to be paid for their work and their rights upheld after the reported theft of thousands of books by Meta to train AI;
- “Montana Adult Trans Bathroom Ban Blocked In Court: "No Evidence" It Protects Women” https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/montana-adult-trans-bathroom-ban “The ruling is the first such ruling to block an adult transgender bathroom ban in the United States”; TDoV in the USA; gravely disturbing behaviour by Qld police and the Qld police union against a female victim of domestic violence has quite rightly been blocked by a court;
In societal and governance matters: I have always had some unease about Modern Monetary Theory (mainly around the failure to realise that the value of money is a social perception which, whilst not as measurable as money, is nevertheless very real), but this article on the impacts of debt creation arising from the fact that banks, not governments, actually print money, is quite illuminating; an examination of the impact the US regime is having on elections elsewhere; concerns about Chinese language lies in Australia’s current election campaign; “Austerity is as close to political madness as any policy gets”.
From a spiritual perspective: continued strength and determination to be and act as strongly BPM as we can is crucial - in particular, keeping times of future justice in mind.
On the resistance to fascism:
- everything in my candles that applies (may all resistance be non-violent and BPM properly informed of and responsive to legitimate grievances that led to this situation);
- From UK political economist, Emeritus Professor of Accounting at Sheffield University Management, co-founder of the tax justice movement, and creator of the concept of nation by nation reporting to tackle multinational corporation tax abuse Richard J Murphy: “[the current US president] has a master plan, and that is the destruction of the power of the federal government” https://youtu.be/E7HPHji262E “[the current US president] appears random, haphazard and out of control. But that’s not true. The Tech Bros who stand behind him have a plan – and that is to preserve their wealth by destroying the power of the governments that might oppose them.” Big Tech is terrified of the power to bust monopolies and the power to control data - with historical examples from the 19th and 20th centuries. This includes excellent discussion on politics and geopolitics and “To get growth, money must be redistributed from those who don’t need it to those who do” https://youtu.be/8Xu2x3AwOKM “Growth is totally dependent upon people having enough money to spend. Without the redistribution of wealth in the UK, that is not going to happen. Taxing Wealth Report: https://taxingwealth.uk/ ”
- “How Protestors Beat Trump in 2020” https://youtu.be/e1t5RLfY_CA “One of my spicy hot takes that I have defended for years now continues to be right: protest works whether you like it or not ... I pointed to historical data that shows us that the general public never likes any kind of protest no matter how peaceful. ... By 1964 three out of four Americans thought that Martin Luther King was too extreme and was hurting his own cause. And yet that cause was ultimately successful. ... in May of 2020 I saw a lot of people at the time claiming that protesters were actually hurting their cause because of “extreme” tactics like blocking traffic. And I wanted to make sure people knew that there is a wealth of historical data suggesting that that wasn't true.” This then extends to the current anti-fascist protests in the USA - with an excellent warning against burning EVs because of the dangers and the environmental damage, and an analysis that shows protests in recent years worked. “So if you're wondering if it makes any sense to go out and protest your fascist overlords, the answer is absolutely yeah. Do not listen to the doomers ... Show up, meet your fellow activists, and agitate for change”
- “Civil Rights and Historical Honesty” https://snyder.substack.com/p/civil-rights-and-historical-honesty “A historian's reaction to a recent executive order” As I commented previously, I would describe the current US president’s actions as attempting to apply thoughtcrime to history

- This was fascinating for me. I hadn’t come across the concept of freezer spells being used to do harm, but that is a flaw of naïveté on my part - I should have consciously realised what can be used to do good can be used to do harm for this, as well as other matters (and I have had some experience of seeing others do that - particularly in the corporate world), and, having now used this technique myself, it will be interesting to see if it removes some blocks: “Breaking Freezer Spell - Midday With Rev Don” https://www.youtube.com/live/8-QKCDZfQqw “Today Rev Don will be discussing how to break the famous “Freezer Spell.”” I am working my way through a few of the “back-catalogue” of this series, and may have more episodes to add over time ... “Werewolves - Midday With Rev Don” https://www.youtube.com/live/4xlllQPZtZI “Can witches throw fireballs? ... The answer ... of course is, yes. We do this all the time - raising energy and directing energy is one of the main things we do. ... You know, building a little ball of energy and throwing it is a simple matter, and any well-trained energy worker - uh, any well-trained witch ought to know how to do this.” The discussion on werewolves/shapeshifting is comprehensive - including that, even during the mediaeval witch hunts, some people understood that some cases were the result of mental illness I am including this, in part, because of the further commentary on an interaction in the previous episode (on werewolves): “Vampires - Midday With Rev Don” https://www.youtube.com/live/3xUNbpkS7xM “This week Rev Don looks at classic horror and the folklore and realities behind it. Today Rev Don will discuss vampires -what they are and what they are sometimes believed to be!” The discussion on the historical evolution of mythology was interesting to me
- “On the limits of YHWH’s sovereignty” https://youtu.be/q78aLGh8mvY Using Biblical texts, this interesting scholar explains that deities - including YWHW - originally had limits on their power to the limits of their land: if devotees were in other lands, had to worship that land’s Deity There is also [CW - extreme cruelty] “The one where YHWH loses to another god” https://youtu.be/DzV5Se8CMFU and an interesting examination of motivations/de-motivations/taking the easy, rather than the right, way, which can be applied to many paths: “Viewer... “Why Don’t Christians Do What Jesus Tells Us?”” https://youtu.be/yMTrQuxQpq0

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).#PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM
