On the 19th March, 2022, I celebrated this blog reaching a quarter of a million views, which came on top of a celebration on the 30th March, 2021 of reaching 200,000 views. Just a few months later, on the 16th August, 2022, I celebrated a surge which took me from 250,000 to 440,000 views.
I am now celebrating a surge which has taken this blog to half a million views in just over 16 years.
In that original post, I wrote:
Almost 14 years ago, in June, 2007, I started this blog. Six years later, in June, 2013, I reached 10,000 views; five years later, in September, 2018, I’d had another 90,000 views to reach 100,000 views; today, two and a half years later, I have now reached 200,000 views (long term average around 14,500 views/year, but 33,000 views in the last year).
This blog is still a minnow, as far as the Internet goes (I’m aiming for quality, not quantity 😊 ), but I am pleased.
I also gave some stats on my other blogs views, and the leader-board of nations I had received views from.
For this post, the updated numbers are:
- 500,329 views /16 years ~31,000 views/year, but 75,000 views in the last year (48,000/year over the last ten years);
- 500,329 views / just over 2,681 posts is ~ 190 views/post;
- top viewed posts:
- views per nation:
And now, I will see if I can reach a million views ... which, realistically, may take longer than my remaining life.
As it is, though, I am feeling vindicated for all the hard work.
For comparison, my other still active blogs:
- Political Musings of Kayleen - ~65,000 views since October, 2016 (9,600/year, 75/post);
- Gnwmythyr’s Glossary - ~41,000 since April, 2014 (4,400/year, 140/post);
- Musings of Kayleen - ~17,000 since July, 2007 (1,100/year, 70/post).
