In June a whistleblower made major allegations about US government denials and cover ups regarding UAPs/UFOs/ETs, which I wrote about here.
Those allegations have now proceeded to the next stage, which is official testimony to the US Congress - reported today here, and no doubt many other places as well * .
That progression is significant, but what is still required next is an open, transparent and objective investigation.
It is important to remember that spectacular attention-grabbing allegations that are in line with your personal beliefs are still allegations, and what is required is further proof - and corroborating testimony would constitute supporting evidence, but this case is still evidence from one person.
My personal opinion is that such evidence does exist, but it will require considerable courage and integrity at all levels for it to be brought to light. This act which has been introduced to the US Congress would help with that, if it is passed.
* See, for instance, here, here, here, and here.
PS - responses since this seem to fall into one of several groups:
(1) “this is confirmation of what we already knew”,
(2) “more evidence is needed”, or
(3) “this is wild and outlandish”.
I consider those in the third group are subject to the criticism Stuart Holroyd made [see here, on the book concerned] of died-in-the-wool sceptics who continued to disbelieve in the existence of psychic abilities long past the existence of reasonable evidence (and Dean I Radin has also, more recently and in more detail, discussed this in “The
Conscious Universe: The Scientific Truth of Psychic Phenomena” [Harper
One (2010), first pub. Harper Collins (2009), ISBN 978 0062029096, Amazon]).
Those in the first group include people who have personally compelling evidence to the point of proof (e.g., direct contact experience), and some who just “want to believe”.
I'm in the first and second groups.
It is the mainstream media outlets I have recently come across who are putting themselves into the third group who are particularly disappointing.
Possible flaws
Where I can, I will try to highlight possible flaws / issues you should consider:
- there may be flawed logical arguments in the above: to find out more about such flaws and thinking generally, I recommend Brendan Myers’ free online course “Clear and Present Thinking”;
- I could be wrong - so keep your thinking caps on, and make up your own minds for yourself.
