The statement is eloquent, succinct, and effective. It calls out not only racists, but also those who seek to politicise these terrible events, and irresponsible press/media reporting.
I urge you to read it, and to consider acting on it - whether by activism, the work of this blog, or a combination of those - and perhaps also of other non-violent options.
The statement is tailored for the Australian situation, but the principles are likely relevant elsewhere as well.
