The Lemkin Institute has posted an updated and re-released Red Flag Alert for the United States on the Anti-Trans Agenda of the Trump Administration.

However, my main reason for this post is to actually include the following quote from the transmittal email, which I consider an outstanding example of how to be an ally:
“We have updated and re-released this statement because the original RFA, which was released on 13 February, was read by some to be suggesting that the Lemkin Institute believes that trans women are really men. This had to do with a poorly written paragraph in which we wished to point out that that anti-trans feminists (and the anti-trans movement more generally), in addition to fixating on the supposed threat posed by trans women, are also profoundly misandrous (hostile to cisgender men) in that they purport to believe that any person assigned the male sex at birth is a permanent threat to cisgender women.
Let us be completely clear: The Lemkin Institute not only believes that trans women are women (and trans men are men, and non-binary people are non-binary), but also we know that these identities are real and have existed throughout all of known human history.”
The covering email also dispute that a misogynist group “owns” the term misandry, and explains their reasoning on that.
