Post No. 3,062 - A few random thoughts

This is just a few random thoughts and matters from my life.

To begin with, I just had a medical practitioner confirm that people who arrange aged care packages too often know either not enough, or nothing at all (or worse, only inaccurate stereotypes and myths), about neurodivergence (although that is changing for the better), so any help I will get will have to be on the basis of physical problems only - even though the truth is that executive dysfunction is a key problem.

I have also come across medical practitioners who thought being diagnosed with neurodivergence, or admitting to being neurodivergent, was either problematic or cause for shame - which is a shocking indictment of those grossly unprofessional medical practitioners and their unmanaged unconscious bias, fear of difference, and bigotry - to the extent that it renders them, IMO, unfit to practice (or practice unsupervised, at the least) as they are.

As a variation on that theme, I have been reflecting on those few people in workplaces who take advantage of neurodivergent hyperfocus to make themselves look good, no matter what the cost to others ... and I have nothing but contempt for those managerially incompetent (as, crucially, they are neither stewards of their company’s main resource - its people, nor the best type of leader: servant leaders) IPOCs.

On work, I can see how many retired people have to get work, and I can foresee my having to do the same ...

On a better note, I am making progress on my quest for reconnection with my Indigenous heritage, and with resolving more of my health issues.

I briefly thought of using another platform as a feeder into this one (e.g., posting a brief heading, link and para of each post on something like Substack), but (a) that is more work that I don’t really need, and (b) what I really want is for that backup platform to be completely independent of the USA, which I don’t think exists in the blogging world - and would possibly be cause to shift my blogs over, but that would lose me too many Readers (and be a lot of work that I just don’t really need - for all its faults, Blogger does serve my needs well enough)

I have one last astrologically based point (about the USA) that I considered posting, and I may do so yet, but it is concerning and I need to do a stack more research yet.

Possible flaws

Where I can, I will try to highlight possible flaws / issues you should consider:

  • there may be flawed logical arguments in the above: to find out more about such flaws and thinking generally, I recommend Brendan  Myers’ free online course “Clear and Present Thinking”
  • I could be wrong - so keep your thinking caps on, and make up your own minds for yourself.

Note that I am cutting back on aspects of my posts - see here

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
