anyone distressed by anything in this post, or for any other reason considering
seeking support, resources are available in Australia here, here, and here. In other nations, you will have to do an Internet search using terms such as “mental health support - <your nation>” (which, for instance, may lead to this, this, and this, in the USA, or this, this, and this, in France [biased towards English-language - my apologies]), or perhaps try https://www.befrienders.org/.
The purposes of this post are:
(1) to provide information, including news, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units); and
(3) to help engage and frame my emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a good state to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so.
URLs of sources of news and/or information are included as in-text hyperlinks.
PS
- I have given up trying to take the clickbait use of caps out of
YouTube video titles, as I am posting too many to have the time to
adjust that. Nevertheless, I still dislike that practice.
News:
On the existential climate crisis and nuclear threats this week: protection - at the cost of strong internal party resistance - of a facility in Tasmania considered by experts to be environmentally damaging is likely to hinder the ability of other communities to object to any development - see also this; methane emission from an open cut coal mine likely higher than reported; earth’s groundwater is declining and the water cycle is accelerating;
In the global war against the radical right/f_s c_sm (including their networks) this week (and for links on what can be done - now, see here [Indivisible] and Dem-Optimism and this [Robert Reich] and this [AOC] and this [Devon Price] aand this [PBS Voices] and this [on burnout] and this [efficacy of nonviolent protest] and this book and this book and this and these links ):
Also in the USA this week, we have:
- twelve excellent points (some from historical experience in the USA) in a “Letter to the American People” from the experts at a leading anti-genocide organisation; “six morsels of hope”; part of the anti-DEI EO has been stopped by a court;
- this actually occurred last week, but I didn’t want to mention it without others backing my opinion, given the seriousness of the matter: a targetted Democrat-leaning law firm has, in effect, agreed to be blackmailed into paying a bribe and repudiating human rights to stop being targetted - which is also anticipatory compliance, and a destruction in and of itself. See also: “One Firm Fights; One Firm Forfeits ft. Liz Dye” https://youtu.be/LfsNe0HdahU and, along similar lines, “The shame of Columbia University” https://robertreich.substack.com/p/the-shame-of-columbia-university “In surrendering to [the current US president], it's opening all universities to [the current US president]'s tyranny” - and also this;
- a rare admission, after a visit to the Pentagon, by the current US president of a conflict of interest for one of his key people; the current US president has signed an EO requiring proof of citizenship before registering to vote, which will lead to legal action; a car attack on protestors outside an EV dealership; Europe wants their unspent money back from US AID; after a backlash, social security has partially backtracked from a requirement that people have to go to an office; an attack on publicly funded, independent media; as schools in one US state refuse to follow a transphobic federal EO and will continue to comply with that state’s inclusive laws and policies, “New Poll Shows Massive Opposition To The Active US Government Censorship Of Trans People The poll also shows heavy support for transgender youth care, opposition to the military ban, and opposition to the prosecution of teachers affirming trans youth” - and another shows disapproval of everything the current regime does; a censure bill on a notorious republican - who also had to cop this; the US president is trying to thoughtcrime history;
- a ludicrous twist to the deportation of Venezuelans to El Salvador - see also this - as the restraining order on that is upheld. See also linked video below; an opinion that people with views contrary to those of the current US regime could be disappeared, after which, in an act being described as ‘flatly authoritarian’, masked people - allegedly police - have snatched a young women who was legally in the USA off a street because of a newsletter article in which she expressed support for Palestinians, and then took her thousands of miles to an ICE facility before anyone was able to contact her, which has led to massive protests - and also one person was deported for an Autism Awareness tattoo!!! ... and the current Defence Secretary has an Islamophobic tattoo ... ;
“Tr_ mp SMACKED with NEW RESTRAINING ORDER by Chief Judge” https://youtu.be/ORv1siZcEU4 “Chief Judge Boasberg continues to block Tr_ mp's use of the Alien Enemies Act with a renewed restraining order and inches closer to finding the [regime] in contempt of court as well. Popok reports.” As emphasised in this, the judge is NOT stopping nor contending arresting people or deportations under migration acts, or under the contentious alien enemies act IF THEY HAVE DUE PROCESS: the concern is specific to lack of due process under the alien enemies act

This week the Israel-Palestine war/ceasefire has seen: the death toll in Gaza has passed 50,000 - including a H___s “militant” killed with four others in an air strike on a hospital, and malnutrition is on the rise again as conditions are described as worse than before and hundreds of Gazans have protested against H___s despite the risks of retribution (including torture); the resumption of conflict between Israel and H_______h in southern Lebanon; Egypt has made an alternative ceasefire proposal; a report that a major Israeli newspaper has reported evidence of genocidal intent; criticism - including comparison to its stronger stance some years ago regarding Iranians - of a creative organisation in the US for its silence after an awarded Palestinian was beaten by Israeli colonisers and subsequent attempt to justify its silence; accusations of silencing of dissent by Israel.
See also: “Holocaust survivor questioned by police over Gaza protest says he will continue to march” https://youtu.be/XQZtXg8m3nk “An 87-year-old Holocaust survivor has been questioned by police after he laid flowers at Trafalgar Square during a Gaza protest to commemorate the tens of thousands of Palestinians killed by Israel. Stephen Kapos, 87, was interviewed by the Metropolitan Police on Friday about the pro-Palestine protest that happened on 18 January in central London – a demonstration the force faced accusations of “repressive and heavy-handed policing” over at the time.”
In other international news, including the illegal and unprovoked war against Ukraine:
- concerns that Europe could also be heading towards their version of a Project 2025 - and pushback against the market share and conservative religiosity of the owner of a major French publishing company as tens of thousands of protestors in cities across France rally against racism and the rise of the far right; why France spent decades preparing for a situation where the USA could not be relied on; Denmark and Finland urge caution for US-bound transgender people; as some reminisce that the current US president speaks of Greenland as Hussein did Kuwait before invading it (although I consider that possibility is now less likely), anger in Greenland and Denmark over uninvited visits (subsequently cut down) by people connected to the current US regime as Greenlanders proudly embrace their pre-christian roots, and the current US president says he has to “convince” Greenlanders to want to become part of the USA (one of the reasons I now consider an invasion unlikely); as Canada’s PM refuses to meet the current US president until Canada is being treated with respect, Australia’s PM has made the extraordinarily divisive move of inviting the current US president to visit Australia (I remember what happened when LBJ came here, and that was bad enough ... ); Japan has prepared a plan to evacuate 100,000 people from islands close to Taiwan in the event that China invades;
- a proposal is being discussed for a limited Black Sea ceasefire ... with one report of a maritime and energy ceasefire but Ukrainian drones still being shot down over the ceasefire area by Russia, which has also been accused of breaching the ceasefire and not wanting real peace; the problem of sexual violence by Russians against Ukrainian women and girls; France’s President has said that France and Britain will lead a contingent of those European nations that are willing to support any future peace deal in Ukraine (and I suspect from other media commentary a few other willing nations may also be involved);
- globally, “leaders are frantically trying to recalibrate. But to what? There is no rulebook”; “Wong calls ‘reprehensible’ letter targeting Hong Kong activist in Australia a ‘threat to national sovereignty’” https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/mar/26/ted-hui-hong-kong-activist-in-australia-targeted-with-letter-offering-reward-for-information-about-his-family-ntwnfb “The foreign affairs minister, Penny Wong, has described another threatening letter sent to an exiled Hong Kong dissident in Australia as “reprehensible”, a “threat to our national sovereignty” and “the safety and security of Australians””; an opinion that “we can’t throw people under the bus to win elections” - which applies everywhere in the world, in my opinion, albeit to varying degrees of severity; dual citizens are being targetted around the world; the USA is now being recognised as not being a reliable partner;
- the arrest of a major opposition politician in Türkiye over allegations of corruption and terror links - which are disputed, and considered to be politically motivated by some - on the day he could have nominated as a presidential candidate has sparked consecutive nights of protests with hundreds of protestors and some journalists arrested by police - and, by keeping his most formidable rival out of the next presidential election, Erdoğan has turned Türkiye into an ‘assumed autocracy’ with the protests paralleling the environmental Gezi protests of 2013 - but with a political focus now;
- all of Sudan’s gold is flowing out through the UAE, who have undermined Sudan’s democratic transition, are accused of supplying weapons to the RSF and having a “pattern of troubling behaviour” (both accusations disputed by the UAE), in a conflict that is increasingly seen as a Saudi-UAE proxy war - a war that has seen mass war crimes, humanitarian abuses (see here for the human costs), and an accusation at the ICJ of genocide (which is denied); growing fears of civil war (with risks of human rights abuses) in South Sudan - and an arrest has, according to one side, ended the peace deal;
- growing tensions in Tigray, Ethiopia could lead to a regional war; ghost writers in West Africa - some using stolen identities - are spewing out Russian propaganda; Kenya has recognised Kosovo as an independent state; “Ethiopia and Eritrea Slide Closer to War amid Tigray Upheaval”; an assessment of the interdependent issues that Syria must simultaneously manage.
In human rights news:
- based on interviews with 150 female MPs and parliamentary staff across 33 nations in the Asia-Pacific region, a study found that 76% of MPs and 63% of staff had experienced psychological gender-based violence (60% of MPs had been targeted online by hate speech, disinformation and image-based abuse), one in four women reported having experienced sexual violence (more than half taking place on parliamentary premises and committed by male parliamentarians) which was often used to delegitimise women’s presence in politics and force them into silence or invisibility;
- in Australia, “ALP under fire for ‘repurposing racist meme’ with ‘we love Medicare’ T-shirt”; a staggeringly clueless to the point of gross incompetence comment about social security - see also this and this lack of understanding of law and this absence of a war ; concerns about the new conservative NT government include housing law changes, a looming crisis over Indigenous incarceration, and patronising attitudes in discussions over sacred site acts, while there are also concerns about disproportionate removal of Indigenous children in WA (see also this) and bail law regression in Vic; Queensland Police have confirmed their resistance to being less biased/bigotted.

- Guest Aisya A. Zaharin talks about the queer women's Iftar and more Out of the Pan “Guest Aisya A. Zaharin talks queer women's Iftar , intersectionality, privilege and more” This programme included an excellent quote from a public radio service (and will seek more such quotes): “Extraordinary executive orders that he signed in the first 10 days, 20 days. How do transgender, non-binary, and intersex Americans live? We live by doing what we’ve done for centuries. What I need people to understand is we are not new to this. It used to be illegal in this country and my own for trans people to exist in public. ... We would be thrown into prison 20 to 40 times and guess what? We'd dust off our heels and we'd come back right outside. I come from one of the most powerful legacies on this earth. We have survived attempted eradication. So of course we're going to make it through this. ... Where I have doubt is if the people who are harming us are going to maintain a semblance of their own humanity. That's where my concern is. ... So the reframe I’m trying to offer our listeners is that I don’t believe in transgender issues. I believe in issues that non-trans people have of themselves that they’re taking out on us. And I know trans people are going to be fine. My question is, are cis people going to survive this?” Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/out-of-the-pan/id312435652?i=1000701185134

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).#PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM
