In my post “Post No. 3,046 - when UFOlogy gets it right - or, the UFO/UAP/ET field is as it can and should be” https://gnwmythr.blogspot.com/2025/03/post-no-3046-when-ufology-gets-it-right.html I introduced and praised Cosmosis [Formerly The UFO Rabbit Hole] for the guest they had on for their first two episodes.
In their third episode, “Ep 3: Whitley Strieber: The Fourth Mind & Our Surprising Connection to NHIs” https://youtu.be/s4IDqWGlWBU (NHI = non-human intelligences; I’ll keep using ETs), their guest was Whitley Strieber, who they quite justly and correctly praised, and who I agree is of great significance to the ET/UFO/UAP field, particularly as he and his now passed but still collaborating wife have helped moved the field from one focused on physical evidence to issues such as consciousness and ESP, and, with regards to that aspect of this field, reminded all that - as with near death experiences - not all experiences are good.
The key driver for this interview is Whitley Strieber’s new book, “The Fourth Mind” (pub. Walker & Collier, 2025, ISBN ?; Amazon; I can’t find any other sales points - the book is not even listed on Whitley Strieber’s website and I cannot find a website for the publisher), which, from the description here:
“He maintains that they have a set of abilities he describes as a "fourth mind" that include such powers as telepathy, levitation, the ability to move heavy objects without machinery, and many others. He then shows that there is a rich store of evidence that mankind once possessed these same powers, and that hidden knowledge of them has persisted into the 20th century.”
I agree with the concept that much of humanity has either lost, or is failing to access and use our potential for, what Stephen Greer refers to as rishis - a range of (more or less) psychic skills.
Furthermore, this concept - of lost powers (albeit often with a lost, better past, which I consider simplistic and highly arguable) - is not actually new: I read about that in the 1970s in the books of the controversial and bigotted Lobsang Rampa, and other sources that are probably described as ... “alternative”.
It is the next bit that is, in my opinion (IMO), the first novel and well worth considering point, which is an analogy of “the greys”/visitors (I do not consider what is being described applies to all ETs) being on the bank of the river of time, able to see a little ahead and behind, whereas we are in the river, with our perceptions limited to what we can see (and “everything we need to feed us coming towards us”). They “aren’t entirely in the stream of time”, but they have limits which can lead to wrong predictions. (By the way, see also dimensions.)
This continues on with a second point that is well worth considering, which is what “the greys”/visitors get from interacting with us, which is experiencing “the new” - and that is one of the major reasons they limit our awareness of them, so that we do not reorient/refocus our ways of living onto them, thereby denying them “the new”.
I haven’t come across this before, and will be spending some time meditating on that.
(Contact with Whitley is also always a good motivation for being more rigorous about my meditation.)
The concept that “the greys”/visitors have not been here forever is, with respect to that group of ETs Whitley is referring to, quite possibly correct. However, my experience is that the view of at least some ETs being what Rampa refers to as “The Gardeners of the Universe” (in particular, see “The Hermit”), something backed up by The Nine of “Briefing for the Landing on Planet Earth” by Stuart Holroyd (pub. Corgi, 1977; first pub. W.H. Allen, London; Copyright © Lab Nine, Ltd, 1977; ISBN 0 552 10997 5; as the re-issued “The Nine: Briefing From Deep Space”: Barnes & Noble, Amazon; original version, sometimes titled “Prelude to ...”: Scribd, Internet Archive, Google Books, Amazon), is definitely correct - i.e., some have always been here, but in a guiding role for which communication of the type Whitley is referring to here (in that the lack of effective communication would be a sign we never will communicate) is not relevant.
I also consider that it is quite conceivable that it could take humanity this long to develop communication skills to the level where effective communication is possible, so I am less convinced on the notion that not having been able to communicate while we evolve means we will never communicate.
The hosts asked if “the greys”/visitors could be guides, and Whitley stated, quite strongly “no”, which I agree with. Other ETs, however, are, IMO.
This is where my more metaphysically oriented background and life experience possibly comes into play: as I wrote here, guides come in a range of shapes, sizes, and forms (formats?), and are matched to the state of being of those being guided.
Going back to the reason(s) that “the greys”/visitors are here, the suggestion is - in my words - that they are here to evolve/grow through experiencing our lives.
This is not new, and is not limited to them.
Our parallels share our lives through our shared unconscious, and thus we tend to influence each other and can either evolve/devolve (note that the effects could go both ways, which Whitley’s visitors are also very much aware of) accordingly - as I wrote about fairly recently, here (which is based on a video showing the depths of helpful metaphysical thought/understanding available elsewhere).
I am also aware of agreeing to let others, including other humans, at times view/experience parts of my life (with absolute respect for my privacy), and there are various support groups etc on the astral which are effectively means for sharing experiences.
The concept of “the greys”/visitors receiving benefits is also discussed by Paul & SyAnn Hamden (who I consider likely the world*s leading experts on Zetas, Elena Danaan, and Lyssa Royal in “The Golden Lake” (Light Technology, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Amazon).
The concept of “the greys”/visitors ingratiating themselves with “us”/the military is a fair point, also worth considering - and is a behaviour others have noted and that they and I have criticised. Such ingratiating behaviour, and what it can lead to (such as deification), has been a problem in the past - as people like Erich von Däniken wrote about. I also note that the guiding ETs, The Nine/“The Gardeners of the Universe”, are different to “the greys”/visitors on this aspect, and are well aware of the differences between religion and spirituality/spiritual growth/spiritual maturity.
The section on the significance of telepathy is important, and is another I will be spending some time meditating on. The comment that telepathy has survival value makes sense to me - it would be far harder for selfishness/greed/abuse of power to flourish when true motivations are more easily recognised.
That, however, doesn’t mean we cannot “save ourselves” without telepathy - it is just harder to do, and it should be understood that we have other methods available to us ... but developing telepathic abilities would likely take too long, IMO. On top of that, even if we developed telepathic abilities now, we still have to address the character flaws of the powerful.
I am also not convinced on the timing issue - i.e., that this is the critical issue NOW, mainly because of the time required ... unless we are meant to start working now for future benefit, which would make sense.
In addition, I initially stopped listening when it was claimed that cattle mutilations were because cattle have copper in their systems. That is quite simply wrong - cattle need copper supplements, and can experience copper poisoning, which is outlined, for example, in“Copper Poisoning in Cattle” https://www.thecattlesite.com/diseaseinfo/208/copper-poisoning-in-cattle/ , and thus it is unlikely that they would have copper in any particularly more significant concentrations than any other mammal.
I consider the past explanations - particularly given locations and historical era - that the quest for information about radiation from nuclear explosions is a more likely explanation.
I think that idea was written about by Robert Hastings (I’ll check if I get the time/energy, but don’t hold your breath).
It should also be noted that those mutilations are NOT being committed by BPM ETs ...
There are a few other points that I disagree with, but they are, IMO, minor.
You, Dear Reader, will have your points of agreement, disagreement, and further cogitation when you view it.
PS - The follow up had some good points, such as discarnates being involved in what is happening, and some stuff that was concerning (such as cisnormativity), or wrong - such as misrepresenting “the left” as being only concerned about past situations (there are many situations now - such as what is happening in the USA - that confirm that absolutely confirm what is happening is a current problem [the neoliberalism curse is NOT part OF a thousand years of religious dictatorship!!!]) and conflating “the left” and science, through to utterly stupid and reprehensible, such as the debunked conspiracy fantasy linking autism to vaccinations. After that last point (increased numbers are due to increased awareness, not limiting testing to white male children, and reduced stigma – just as happened with left handedness and with being transgender), I am going to have to rethink my opinion of Whitley Strieber ...
Possible flaws
Where I can, I will try to highlight possible flaws / issues you should consider:
- there may be flawed logical arguments in the above: to find out more about such flaws and thinking generally, I recommend Brendan Myers’ free online course “Clear and Present Thinking”;
- I could be wrong - so keep your thinking caps on, and make up your own minds for yourself.

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).#PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM
