How I handled a situation of psychic attack – which, as I write this summation, reminds me of a more recent event where a friend and I went to see a film, and had some noisy louts sit beside us: when I projected light to them, they moved elsewhere (another example to keep in mind as you read Post No. 183.  Avoiding positive energy).

At the time, I genuinely thought I’d been hacked: turns out that I had mistyped my URL, and – scarily – VERY scarily – wound up at a Christian fundamentalist site instead. There’s some disturbing implications in the amount of effort that someone has gone to in order to set up such diversions – and doubly so that it went to such a site …

This post's photo is of my palatial "office" - note the 3/4 screen that I use, as a result of the screen being closed on a crystal some years ago :) The timber is so I can finish building a table (which I have been a bit slack about). I enjoy woodwork - one of the results of trying to sail competitively on a tight budget as a kid: the shelves you can see are my work. It's a fairly confined space, and my working tools are imperfect: nevertheless, I can get things done. I consider too many people make excuses that they cannot do stuff because situations or tools are imperfect. Well, learn to improvise and make do - MAKE it work with what you have!

A review of an overall excellent book on spirit rescue, with the major flaw that it seems to be biased against earth-based religions. The chapter on “Intentional Psychic Attack” is very good, as is the content on links (which she calls cords; , although I combine the separate stages described of "cut, then heal at both ends" into one step, by sending light, love and healing from one end of the link out to dissolve the cord totally, and thus avoid the danger of a cut cord latching onto another person/energy) Ms Allen's description of the effects that cords can cause when attached to particular chakras is also particularly good), good and "bad" earthbound entities (I call the "bad" ones "uncooperatives", and she calls them "Dark Force Entities"), and that situations can occur for a whole range of reasons (she has a good attitude towards karma). I’ve included most of my review comments in Update No. 2.

151.  World peace, and the time it takes to change the world URL http://gnwmythr.blogspot.com/2010/09/world-peace-and-time-it-takes-to-change.html
This examines what has been happening in the Middle East for signs that the Peace, Hope, Love and Prosperity spell could have been having an effect, and from that suggests the time it takes a few hundred witches to change the world.

150.  A word both over-used and under-used: sorry URL http://gnwmythr.blogspot.com/2010/09/word-both-over-sed-and-under-used-sorry.html
This word can be – as the heading states – both under- and over-used. The over-use is in the terms of a glib word flipped out by immature persons to avoid getting into trouble, and lacking in genuineness; the under-use is in terms of broad social wrongs …

Well, at least this book covers spirit rescue, but it is seriously flawed (in fact, downright WRONG!!!) when it erroneously suggests that rescue is a “cure” for being trans.

This post's photo is from a time when I was living in small yacht on Western Port (often incorrectly referred to as "Westernport Bay"). Where I lived was a former mangrove swamp (which, sadly, was damaged for construction of the marina): we had fish breeding in the marina, crabs living in the mud - it was a plethora of life. It was also exceedingly fragile ... Westernport has lost seagrasses as a result of a steel mill and oil & gas terminal (where they receive the raw product, and then pump it around 50km or more for processing; this is done because of the massive risks involved in oil/gas ships entering through Port Philip's heads (Port Phillip is also often referred to as "Port Philip Bay", or just "the Bay")

103.     Disrespect (was going to be privilege): a Clarification on Control URL http://gnwmythr.blogspot.com/2010/01/disrespect-was-going-to-be-privilege.html
A personal rant, triggered by being on the receiving end of some prejudice, against small mindedness – to the extent of querying why people need “education” to behave appropriately: after all, not everyone does need this education to behave with consideration and inclusivity, even when they come across some thing for the first time ... (which is a group I cannot claim to have always been in, sadly :( )

99.     The Neanderthal Predation theory - some thoughts URL http://gnwmythr.blogspot.com/2010/01/neanderthal-predation-theory-some.html
My response to the “Neanderthal Predation” theory on human evolution, which I consider quite plausible, and there has been some subsequent genetic discoveries which are possibly supportive. More importantly, this shows the importance of not being a slave to one’s biology, and of learning from one’s history.

This post is - in part - a personal working through grief at the death of my (adoptive) mother. It also touches on rescue (guiding the souls of the dead), funerals, and also covers the spiritual problem of discrimination (which I encountered whilst travelling back from my mother's funeral, and, given my emotional state, grated far worse than it usually does [I don't fit into conventional boxes]). The reference to Bev Brock is a lead in to the concept of polyamory.
