Content Warning -  the posts titled "for Sunday evening's meditation-clearing include news links, which may be to news articles on distressing topics. Other posts address issues related to conflict, violence & war, and matters such as changing the personality of oppressors. As I work through updating these posts,. I will try to add CWs here, but that will take some time.

An uncooperative was in a geostationary orbit, well out from the planet’s surface, but in a position to keep sending negative energy to a particular place. Also, a brief comment about re-runs of historical events.

After some fluff about my life, I discuss the importance of being able to empathise – that is, see something from another’s perspective. I also discuss the twin evils of advertising and the politics of fear (with a workplace OHS analogy for the latter that I quite like), and the importance of being able to think well. I discuss possible and perceived limitations on the meditation work, and a few reading links.

My take on key events this week – being the terrible tragedy of the shooting down of MH17. In responding to this or any other act where people are harmed, it is vital to be sure that one is acting to seek to change things for the better, not to punish.

I came across a YouTube copy of this BBC Four presentation, where an Anglican priest looks at the actual hard, archaeological evidence for the sorts of viewpoints discussed in the “Da Vinci Code” film, and there is some such evidence. The clear conclusion out of all this is that the mainstream ‘christian’ churches are, in fact, what I term neochristianity, rather than Christ’s love-based Christianity.

In response to a post quite rightly attacking ‘fake activism’, I point out that the most effective forms of activism are not necessarily marching in the streets.

My thoughts on what has been happening this last week, including a response to an idiot commentator on TV regarding the airport security response to terrorism, some reading links, and some notes about coming events this next week and for tonight’s meditation.

In response to a comment to a Wild Hunt post, I started putting some thoughts down about why events in Australia have smaller numbers than those in the USA, and long term cycles in groups and the end of groups. It wound up being inappropriate as a response to the comment, but a reasonable basis for a post on the topic.

My view that it will be a general movement that carries on the work of “The Nine”, rather than a small group as happened with Andrija Puharich, Sir John Whitmore and Phyllis Schlemmer.

My thoughts on how to use magick to constructively change the personality of these problematic people, along with a cautionary note. I don’t get into the ethics of this but I have covered that previously in other posts (my view being you don’t let someone who is shooting people continue to do so).

Sadly, I have now found that two of the original core of three people who were central to the events in Stuart Holroyd’s “Briefing for the Landing on Planet earth” have now passed on … who will take up this mantle?

This seems to owe more to Israel Regardie than ancient Egypt, but I personally find it a very effective way of raising magickal energy.

Inspired by a nong at work, I rant about poor design in Australia, before generalising that into what we generally do or don’t do about other people, before moving on to the shortcomings of some politicians (not all – Al Gore is here doing a good job on climate change as I write this, even working somewhat with – or on – the somewhat surprising Clive Palmer … ), the problem of acronyms and names that detract from or impinge on the sanctity of Deities’ names, and an appalling problem that has become apparent with Marion Zimmer Bradley.

I like to try and get something positive out of anything that is negative. I can’t always, of course – some things are just evil no matter how you look at it. Nevertheless, I try when I consider it appropriate. In this case, I have looked for something positive as a result of those events being held to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

A short story from the Tara Dale chronicles touching on not assuming the worst of scary changes, euthanasia, spirits incarnating into inanimate things to make them live, shamanism and other psychic practices.

A bunch of links on things like social attitudes, bullying (which I will now go and add that tag to relevant past posts – well, in due course I will), growing up, interfaith,
